Really I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is secluded in the rainforest with a 2 min boat ride into the town but only a 3 min walk to the beach. It truly was a special place. Judith and John are simply so warm and welcoming. The views here were amazing and I

Dear Wally and Alice It works both ways - you were wonderful guests. Perfect for us at Mango Beach Inn. You liked living in a natural environment, in a ramshackle old inn run by owners who love the place and do a lot of the things you liked to do - hiking, birdwatching, discovering new and wonderful places (yes, we still do that sometimes). there's always something new in St Lucia, and being on the waterfront as we are there is a constantly changing panorama with boats coming in and out, the light and the water reflect contant changes. Plus of course there are some lovely bars and restaurants just two minutes ferry ride away. Come back soon! Judith

Mango Beach Inn met our expectations and beyond. We are not resort goers. We prefer to vacation on our own terms. The location, size, owners and staff at Mango Bay Inn are what made this Caribbean vacation one of our favorites. The owners, Judith and John, were very familiar

We are so happy that you enjoyed Mango Beach Inn. We are lucky to have such a great location, peaceful and beautiful but lots of bars, restaurants, water sports and scenic trails just a couple of minutes away. Thank you for staying with us and come back soon - bring the family this time! we are just about to announce a one-off opportunity to rent the whole of Mango Beach Inn for the whole of the month of august! Marie and Alfred will be there to make sure everything is clean and functioning and take care of the dogs and cats but it's a one off bargain price so look out for details!

Thanks Allegra. it was a pleasure to have you and your delightful baby staying with us. Children of all ages are welcome here and babysitting was easy because he never woke up! I'm so glad you enjoyed Mango Beach. Watching the constantly changing scenery out in the bay is a great way to end or start your day. Come back again when your little one is old enough to enjoy learning to sail and kayak and explore the mangroves! Judith

Thanks Nick the advantage of staying at a smaller inn is that we really get to know our guests - they can talk to us about what they really want to do and we can help them with planning their days and putting together an itinerary that really works for them. You and your friends knew St Lucia so well you didn't really need our help but however well we think we know our beautiful island we are always happy when visitors discover something new that we can recommend to incoming guests!

Mango Beach Inn only serves breakfast. The Rainforest Hideaway Restaurant, which was located on the Mango Beach Inn dock was closed in May 2017. Within 2 minutes of Mango Beach Inn there are eight restaurants - ranging from very local to very sophisticated - so it is difficult to answer the question simply. The cheapest is Hassy's Bar on the Mango Beach Inn dock - pizzas, BBQ ribs and chicken - around EC$25-35 (US$9 - 13). In the middle, JJ's Mangrove or Chateau Mygo, have entrees priced around EC$50-70 (US$19-26) At the top end, dinner at The Grill in the Marigot Bay Resort will cost over EC$250 (US$92) For the adventurous, from her stall by the ferry, Bernice sells plain bakes for EC$1.00, filled bakes - cheese or saltfish - for EC$2.50 - cocoa tea for EC$2.50 and lunch (chicken, rice and ground provisions) for about EC$12 - all takeaway. So the answer is a range - and everything between the two extremes - local food, Indian food, seafood, tapas...lots of choice John Verity Co-Owner - Mango Beach Inn
