Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is really the best you could wish for. A tasteful decorated house and a room with a view. The bathroom is the best we have ever had. But more importantly the warmth and hospitality of Julie and Sandy have made our stay one to remember. Julie is a great cook and she prepared amazing breakfasts and dinners. We stayed the night before and after the Humpridge Track and this really is the best place to prepare and recover from the walk.

More elegant and luxurious than most farm stays, Kirmington Dene sits on a plateau overlooking the southern ocean and very picturesque farmland. Julie and Sandy welcomed us with a home cooked afternoon tea followed by a gourmet dinner with vegetables just picked from the farm. The rooms were very comfortable, the en suite huge with a heavenly bath, and very comfortable beds. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming in their quiet NZ way. We were taken on a extensive tour of the farm and Sandy was very generous with his time and expertise. Highly recommended for both a farm stay or B and B experience. A beautiful piece of New Zealand's Southland.
