Me and my sister took a double room for five days. Room cleaning service is the top and also the breakfast is very rich and the tipical local food such as "sfogliatella" is avaible. Your breakfast is "on demand" (no buffet) because of COVID-19, but you may oder from a very rich list of food and hot and cold drink. The hotel is in front of the ancient Herculaneum , and from the breakfast room you can take a glimpse to the sea and in the below street. There also is a inner balcony that is also a smoker area and there you may rest a bit and take a break reading a book. For sure it has been a very comfortable accomodation! The staff is very kind and gentle: you'll feel like at your own home. Highly recommanded!

We arrived at reception & was very smooth but the lobby is small. Parking ($10/day) is in a shared lot with other hotels and is about 1/4mi away. There was a very small elevator (Typical for Italy) to bring suitcases up to the 1st fl (2nd to us) but then we had to bring them down a hallway & up another set of stairs to our room. The breakfast room was really nice with nice views overlooking bay in the distance & is directly across from the ruins entrance. The breakfasts were really good and because of covid you have to order your breakfast the night before & a time but they were really efficient and if we wanted more or even a change, they were accommodating. (The area was really busy so a front facing room would probably be noisy) but there are plenty of places to have pastries, lunch & dinner & shopping & is a 4 block walk to the trains. We took the train into Naples to the Archeological Museum and to Sorrento (have to switch trains so be aware).
So...the only really not so good thing was the room. Our room is not on any of the pictures shown. It was undecorated and we had to request extra pillows and blanket - just had sheets on it. It was really small - the bed filled most of the room. No view but for the most part quiet. The bathroom was older but very clean & had a step up so of course I banged my toe on it several times. No place to put bathroom items. So between the parking & room size & comfort, I would give it a 3.

I highly recommend staying at the Herculaneum Hotel. I was here two years ago for two weeks and returned again this year for two weeks. The front desk was very helpful, especially the manager Patrizia. The kitchen staff and cleaning staff for the rooms were also pleasant and did a great job. The hotel is located across the street from there Herculaneum ruins. It is a five minute walk from the Circum Vesuviano train which is 20 minutes to Naples, 15 minutes to Pompeii and 50 minutes to Sorrento. Ercolano is centrally located between Naples and Sorrento and is a very good alternative to the higher priced hotels in those areas. There are also several excellent restaurants, formal and informal minutes from the hotel.

We stayed in this hotel as a family with 4 teenager kids for 5 days and really enjoyed it. This hotel is located directly at the entrance to the archeological park of Herculaneum, between Napoli and Pompei (30 min per train - runs every 20 to 30 min - in both directions with a 7 min walk to the railway station Ercolaneo Scavi). The hotel has nice rooms and is very clean. Breakfast is served by the hotel owner who speaks excellent German and English and provides lots of helpful advice for possible activities.

Booked a week as looks great on line.
Mould in rooms
Walls in need of repair and redecorate
Terrace as can be seen has one broken chair and table
Ants in room
Small fridge didn’t work
Outside poor condition
Lift could only be used for luggage and very slow,
Breakfast had to be ordered daily when it was very basic cold croissant and a boiled egg and a few more bits, staff in kitchen couldn’t get drinks right until last day and we only asked for boiling water for tea.
Breakfast staff double as cleaners.
There is a terrace lounge but hard to get a drink up there as no staff or bar.

On the good side .. plenty of hot water and clean shower
Emmanuela the receptionist was very helpful and friendly.
Information on local closing days etc would be useful written somewhere.. 2 nights we only managed to get a baguette for dinner
Only stay 1 or 2 nights as nothing much to do after seeing Ruins at Herculaneum and Virtual Myseum which were directly opposite .
The train is handy for Naples and Sorrento .
There is a public beach 15 minutes walk but it is a bit
Rough with cats and pigeons , private beach is not much better.

Excellent location, friendly staff, excellent cleanliness and comfortable beds.
The affiliated car park is 300-400 meters away on the same street, the manager is scrupulous and helpful. We were satisfied. Also close to the two best restaurants/pizzerias in Ercolano. We absolutely recommend!

The hotel itself is brilliantly located, directly across the road from Herculaneum. The ruins are visible from the breakfast room which lays on a multi choice pastry and continental buffet style breakfast. The receptionist is lovely and very helpful. The rooms however need a lick of paint and the flooring could do with a bit of a revamp. The walls are paper thin though so its pot luck if you have a noisy inconsiderate neighbour. The Ercolano scavi is a straight walk 6 mins away from the hotel. The neighbourhood it is situated in looks rough but trust me when i say this, neopolitans are lovely fun people and will not hurt you unless you give them cause to.

We booked this hotel based on the location to the Herculaneum site, pictures and great reviews on the website. Very disappointed in the hotel. Our room was in desperate need of major repair and cleaning. Walls were cracked and crumbling, large area of black mold on the ceiling in the shower. Refrigerator did not work. Terrace was very shabby with 1 rickety chair and table. The pictures on the site were not at all what we got. The only thing good was the location to the archeological site and the staff were friendly.

It's a bit hard to believe this is one of the top hotels in the area. We were looking for a cute hotel for the few days that we would be in this area but nothing that would break the bank. When we saw this one, it felt like no brainer! We soon realized why it was so cheap. The pictures posted must be AI generated. The rooms are similar to it, but VERY off the mark. They are old and dignity. Our headboard was stained, our lamp shade was broken and stained, the fridge didn't work. Most of the staff (with the exception of the front desk) seemed annoyed to be there. At breakfast , I saw a staff member roll her eyes when a little girl asked for another bowl. On top of that, they do not care when cleaning the rooms. I had a mircofiber hair towel that was white and was hanging up in our room (that I have brought to plenty of other hotels) not mixed in with their towels, that they just swept up and took because they didn't have attention to detail. So I lost that for the rest of my two week trip because their laundry comes back every 2 days.

The few good parts: It's close to the train station and easy to get to Naples and Pompeii. The front desk staff is lovely and I think are the best part of this hotel. There is AC. The hotel is 24 hours and you must buzz in to get in, which is added to safety.

Our stay was both pleasurable and comfortable. Hotel staff from receptionist to kitchen staff were very accomodating and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was freshly prepared . Situated right in front of Ruins and restaurants. Being a small town, surprised to have find a hotel with 5 star service. Understandably, hotel facilities is not expected to be at par with big city hotels but service and being comfortable made up for this. This is a little known gem that is yet to be discovered.

I don’t think all rooms have balconies-some have small terrace (not sure if any view as could be internal onto roof terrace) so you would need to request when booking No tea/coffee facilities-small fridge/mini bar in room Hope this helps!
