We wanted to have a romantic, restful getaway and enjoy all the best things in Italy – for us the food and wine. That is exactly what we had at Il San Cristoforo. We ate almost every night at Line and for one to "eat all" and one vegetarian they pampered us with great food. It was also very nice to notice that there was not much food waste at the breakfast because they had very smart system: combination of buffet and disher to order separately. the breakfast was also full of the best Italian flavors.
One evening we had a pizza craving and when we asked where to go for pizza, respa arranged a ride for us to a nearby pizzeria. overall the service was super friendly. Everyone was always ready to help and actively asked if there was anything they could help with.
The spacious room had a beautiful bathroom and efficient air conditioning, which Finns will certainly appreciate in this heat. The swimming pool was a nice size, swimming in the fitness mind was also possible. There were several types of pool chairs and the most comfortable reading moments ever and nowhere I've spent on fatboy-type big soft lounge chairs in Il San Cristoforo.
I hope to come here again - tip for the boyfriend if he reads this :)

We’ve stayed for few nights with two small kids. There was a little confusion with our initial reservation but everything was sorted swiftly! We would definitely recommend hiring a car if you wish to stay in the hotel. Although Naples, Pompeii and Vesuvius attractions are rather close I would imagine that using a public transport might slow your sightseeing considerably, especially if you are with the kids! Hotel staff were super polite and friendly! Breakfast could be improved but I guess this was due to corona virus restrictions. Rooms are big, modern and bright! Swimming pool was amazing even with little kids, not crowded at all and super peaceful! We actually preferred staying at the pool for at least half a day rather than fighting for a (paid) place at one of the nearby beaches! Hotel grounds are magnificent! Very looked after and super green! It simply stands out from the surrounding area. You would feel as you entering some magical gardens as soon as you drive into the hotel’s territory. It really stands out! We enjoyed lovely Morning and evening walks there. Free outside but secure parking, short drive to airport.
Overall, we loved staying at the hotel (though I’m usually a very picky holidayer) and I’ve already recommended it to my family&friends!

beautiful place with very nice and comfortable executive suite overviewing the spectacular garden and the Vesuvius. The garden, pool area and landscaping work deserve a nobel price for design and execution. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Especially Ezio went the extra mile to make our stay beautiful, greatly appreciated. Just be aware that although the hotel is superb, the location is quite dreadful, next to a main road between villages with lots of dirty and noisy cars driving like crazy (like everywhere in Italy). To go and have a decent dinner you need to go to town (15min by car/taxi).
be aware that as from the second half of 2021 there are thousands and thousands of extra wedding parties all over hotels in Italy to make up for what couldn’t have taken place during covid. Make sure you know whats scheduled in your hotel prior to booking a room. This particular hotel is a hotspot for matrimonial parties so expect some noise from the garden until 22.00pm. the suite itself was very well insulated for sound.

We stayed four night in this wonderful paradise. I never thought to find such a special place with attention to the smallest details. The offered service was 5 stars more then we payed. Francesco at front desk has been very pleasurable, we very loved spend time talking after a long day. That's the secret he makes fill the people like no ordinary clients but special. So we will return absolutely.

We stayed here for 9 nights and picked the hotel as we thought it would be quieter outside of Naples city centre. The staff were incredible and could not do enough to help. A big thanks to Francesco and the reception team who were especially helpful organising trips, recommending restaurants and sorting out any problems. The shuttle bus to Ercolano station was very useful as the hotel was not central to any towns, you just have to make sure you book your place. Direct trains from Ercolano to Naples, Sorrento and along the coast made it easy to get around without a car. You could walk to San Georgio a Cremano town/station which was about 20 mins from the hotel, useful if you missed the shuttle. The hotel has pretty gardens but, when we were there there was about 3 weddings a day so it could be quite noisy, however none went late into the evening. We hoped the hotel would we well situated for walking but it was not, it is in the middle of a suburban area. The bar area was right outside one of the wedding rooms so you couldn't sit and have a quiet drink as it was too noisy. We booked a junior suite for the 2 of us, the website mentioned a sitting area but when we got there found we had a double room with adjoining single room which was not much good for us. We spoke to reception and they organised to get us 2 comfortable chairs instead of the single bed. This was great especially as the first couple of days of our stay were rainy so we could not sit on the terrace. We ate in the Line restaurant twice, however as we don't eat fish there was a very limited choice on the menu. A lot of the restaurants nearby had closed so if you don't have a car there is not a lot of choice. Reception booked us into De Vito, an excellent local restaurant which was lovely, they even picked us up and dropped us back after our meal, delicious simple Italian food and very good value, we went 3 times during our stay.
In summary, we had a good stay, helpful staff and a good base to explore the area using the hotel shuttle to the station and easy to get around using the trains.

I stayed here for 3 weeks for a business trip. The hotel and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. The entire staff is very professional and very friendly.
Ezio & Francesco made the stay much more enjoyable. They recommend some of the best restaurants in the area and even went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed the meal and were treated with respect. Both of these individuals assisted my coworkers and I with translations with area businesses to make the transactions much smoother and easier.
Leonardo is the bartender and makes fabulous drinks and makes the best espresso and americano coffee!
Giovanni and all the chefs in the restaurant were amazing! They provided the best service in the restaurant that anyone could ask for. They cooked some of the best food I have ever tasted in my life. Giovanni, recommended some of the most amazing wines. He is a true wine connoisseur!
I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I will be back to stay here again.

This is an amazing hotel with fantastic pool, grounds and the room was superb. We came from ireland and all the staff understood English and accommodated us in everything and the free shuttle bus was very helpful as we didnt have a car. At the start we were dubious about the area as there is really nothing around and the footpaths are unique to say the least but its safe overall just about daunting at the start. As the hotel aren't providing dinner only breakfast and a very good pool lunch there is an excellent roof top bar restaurant above the shopping centre just a 10 minute walk from the hotel and a supermarket for essentials . For this hotel I would suggest a car but overall upon leaving my second hotel in sorrento I realised that this hotel was top class and I would love to get married here.

*wow* This hotel is the best hotel we’ve ever been too, it’s clean, professional, beautiful and the staff are absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless, breathtaking views of the volcano, very comfortable beds that were made every day by the amazing cleaning staff, who were so friendly and kind and did a wonderful job of keeping the room looking beautiful, there was air conditioning if it got too hot and always cold water stocked in the fridge. Nothing was too much trouble for reception, they went out of their way to help us when we had car trouble and they even surprised us with a birthday cake when they found out it was our daughter’s birthday. We felt completely at ease and had the best hotel stay. The pool was fantastic, beautifully clean and Inviting, the lunch service and food was amazing and the atmosphere sublime. The breakfast - WOW, amazing array of food to try, all fresh and beautifully presented as well being so delicious, the breakfast staff were fantastic, so helpful and friendly and looked after us so well. The LINE restaurant was professional and the food very tasty, a special treat for a quiet romantic evening with staff that look after you well and a brilliant talented chef. A special shout out to the reception staff for always being at hand to help us and also Giuseppe who we would have been stranded without their help. We cannot wait to come back next year with the whole family.

What a pleasure to arrive in this hotel after a busy day in Naples. The location is only 15 min by train and a shuffle is picking you up to bring you to the hotel. Beautiful garden, very friendly and professional staff. Awesome breakfast. We loved the place!

I do not even know where to begin. We headed to Naples for work and had the privilege of staying at the Il San Cristoforo for 12 nights. Upon arrival the hotel and grounds were breathtaking. Many picturesque views. There is a pool for the warmer months, walking trails, benches to sit and enjoy the scenery, and amazing landscaping with waterfalls.
Throughout our stay everything was amazing. All the staff at the hotel were so professional and pleasant. Francesco and Ezio would go out of their way, above and beyond, to make sure we were taken care of and would assist us with the shuttle, taxi, and even reservations for the restaurants. They called to make sure places, like Mt. Vesuvius was open, so we didn’t get there and it be closed. They even printed out maps of Naples and the train schedules so we had that information available as we explored during our time away from working.
Leonardo and Giovanni were wonderful working in the restaurant, at breakfast, and in the lounge at night. They would make sure we had what we wanted and ensure we were happy with everything. The line restaurant was truly amazing. I recommend eating there at least once during your stay. The food is amazing and the chef’s are wonderful.
I would highly recommend Il San Cristoforo as the place to stay when traveling to that area. I know if I am given the chance to go back this is where I will be staying.

If you are prepared to walk for 10 or so minutes then bars are within that distance our favourite is the Dorian Gray a fantastic little place. A little closer up the hill is the Dutch bar but that doesn't open all the time

The hotel will arrange this - they quoted us 40€ in January 2019, but you can easily get the Circumvesuviana train to Ercolano Scavi Station and you will be collected for free!
There are more places to choose from in the Ercolano area.
