We stayed at the Japanese/Western-style Room with Scenic View Bath (Nonokaze Club) of Lake Toya which was nice. The room was nice with minimalist design. The private onsen I felt wasn’t as nice as the ones at Noboribetsu. Buffet dinner and breakfast was meh but there was a

We stayed in the corner suite which came with separate living and balcony. The room itself was decorated in Japanese minimalistic style. We had a great view of the lake and Mt Yotei (when it isn't too hazy) and were able to watch the nightly fireworks from our living room as

Very stylish decor. Clean and sleek rooms. Biew was breathtaking. Food overall okay. The private onsen with your partner is recommended. I have to comment that they need to improve the ventilation from their dining as the smell does linger

I have to admit that this hotel has clean rooms with a good view of lake toya. But I have to say their service is really bad. We tried to book a bus to Sapporo for the next day, but the staff did not even let us know that the bus is full and even gave us the hope that we might

There is the volcano museum nearby that can be reached on foot. Highly recommended.

The Nonokaze building has the premium accommodations - larger rooms, better facilities yah de yah in a better neighbourhood. Of course it costs more. Otherwise you're treated the same and unless you opt for one of the a la carte dining options you'll be eating with everybody else in the common dining hall. .

Hi, booking for December wont open so early, so check again around April/May. I booked directly through the hotel website and it was uncomplicated. There is a shuttle from Sapporo to the hotel if you don't plan on driving, this has to be booked in advance too.

Hi, how much are the private onsens?
I'd email/call them to ask whether it's going to be busy (e.g. big Chinese tour groups being there ;)) - we really enjoyed both the public (there are two btw) as well as the private onsens. Go on two days consecutive das for the full experience as the rooftop one alternates between genders...

"All rooms have view of the lake so the higher the floor the better. 8th floor is their highest and premium floor"
"Request for a room in the main building (and a high floor room) if possible."
"room with private onsen is good, but their public onsen is great if you choose cheaper room!"
"Avoid even floors if you are adverse to smoking."
