Enjoy the most spectacular view in Tobermory from the Bruce Anchor Motel's "sunset deck". Our deck overlooks Georgian Bay and the entrance to Big Tub Harbour. The Bruce Anchor Motel is located within walking distance of the Chi-Cheemaun. It is a convenient place to stay overnight before boarding the ferry in the morning! Step out of our rooms for a relaxing breath of fresh air, or to enjoy the scenery of our Georgian Bay shoreline. A two-bedroom suite will comfortably accommodate a family of four, or two couples, or a small group of divers. All units have a mini fridge with freezer, except the king units, which have a mini fridge. All rooms have air conditioning, free wi-fi, cable tv, and a coffee maker. We serve coffee and tea in the office from 5 am until 2 am. We have a pavilion behind our motel complete with microwaves, toasters, kettles, charcoal bbq's, and picnic tables available to all guests.

I was stuck needing accommodations late in the season, and I’m so grateful to have found Sis’ Cottage at Bruce Anchor available. I was BEYOND pleased with the cottage, clean and quiet and GREAT location. Full kitchen. Lots of space. Crystal was incredibly helpful also. She took the time to inform me that most businesses & restaurants in Tobermory are closed this time of year, so I was able to make the necessary stops on the way and arrive fully prepared. She’s a gem. Unfortunately the boat cruises are already unavailable (it’s fall - the water is rough - I don’t really want to be on a boat anyway!) 10/10 would recommend Bruce Anchor motel & cottages!

Very clean room with modern amenities and a nice balcony if you're on the upper floor. Ideally located a short distance from all of the main attractions and easy to find. Would recommend staying here while in Tobermory!

We had a pleasant check in with Crystal and found our room to be quite nice, clean and cozy, with a sun deck. Upon trying to use the tv, we found we were unable to get the cable so we went back to the office for guidance. Crystal came right over and tried to help us, spending some time to make sure the connections were as they should be. Unable to fix it, she contacted their maintenance fellow Rob, who came right over from wherever he lives and explained that guests will often go into the system and change things to use their particular preferences. It took a while but he reloaded the system, chatting with us pleasantly while taking care of us. Thanks so much Crystal and Rob! Much appreciated

Don’t stay here!!I had initially booked for a 2 night stay and needed to cancel one night because my husband tested positive for Covid and was quite sick. I had called them 36 hours prior to our visit and explained the situation and they stated that it was a 2 night minimum. We were charged a total of $572.91 for a 1 night stay! Crystal said that she would speak to management and see if they could rent out the second night, then I would be reimbursed, but they were unable to rent the room out. With Covid cases on the rise, you would think that management would have some empathy!!! Also don’t spend the extra money to have a room on the “sunset side” because the only view you get is the sun setting behind the trees. I have included a picture to show you what my “sunset view” was. Better to walk across the street and view it from shore. I would no recommend this place because of poor management customer service!!

We really enjoyed our stay there. The view was great and the room was nicely decorated and comfortable. Do pick upstairs and the west end if you go. Service was good- check in and out was easy and the staff were always helpful.

First of all, this isn't a review of the Bruce Anchor villa, this is overall experience of a small town Tobermory, at the tip of Bruce Peninsula. We were located off-site, just a minute from the main office and the motel, in the middle of the woods. Again, you cannot stop admiring the nature and calming effect on your spirit. This is right place to charge your batteries, relax your soul and enjoy the trails. Our room (located in one of the Bruce Anchor sites) was so quiet that it was almost intimidating how silent it could be in the morning. Do not miss: boat cruise, one million of hiking trails, visiting Flower Pot island, eating at harbour restaurants, sunset at the beach. Boat cruise: you don't need the one with fully enclosed cabin, if the weather is warm enough, but we were there in June and it was chilly going out to flowerpot island. Bring extra hoodie even if going out in August! For some who likes hiking, this island is gorgeous, but there are also nice trails on the main land, too. Check all the look out spots, lighthouse and everything else that you can reach on your legs. Eating: cut little marine is surrounded by restaurant patios, with awesome fish, chicken and classic food. Try fish and chips at the second floor patio in the corner of harbour and watch the scenery from elevated view. Right beside it there is a very good grocery store, if you are cooking at the cabin. Beach: There is Singing Sands Beach (just minutes away with a car), but it's a huge sandy beach where you can enjoy time with your family and watch the sunset. The other Dunks Bay beach is very small, but with very clean water , inviting you for a swim. Warning: like all the other places at Huron, water is cold until late July. We are definitely coming back once I get my hips right, because there is so much more to see there. Hikers, do not miss a chance to see this charming little town and surrounding nature!

This motel is very well located, walking distance to both the harbourfront shops and restaurants and the cruise docks. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is plenty of free parking. The rooms are clearly older but they are functional and have a shared balcony to enjoy the sunsets. The beds are comfortable but I found the pillows a little hard for my liking. The fridge is a nice size and that was very useful. There are loads of comfortable chairs to sit and relax (and for the sunsets!) all around the motel. It is about average priced for a Tobermory motel. We would stay here again on our next stay in lovely Tobermory. The

This property is close to affiliated glass bottom boat rides, ferry dock to Manitoulin Island and short walking distance to main part of Tobermory. The amenities were surprisingly "good hotel like" but no microwave. Beds are comfy and showers pleasant. Soundproofing good. Good sized room too. Surprised to find a humidifyer in the room which made the room less dry. Large parking lot for free parking.
