The water villa is lovely, feels very private out on the balcony sunbeds too. Jacuzzi in the room is a nice evening option too. However, the lack of toothpaste/ toothbrush (have to buy) and conditioner (not available at all) were the only things we weren't very satisfied with about the room. The service here is INCREDIBLE, staff is very friendly and is always trying to greet you. I love that we get one waiter with us for the whole stay who we felt you can build a nice connection with. But overall, all the staff here is excellent. The food is surprisingly good and the variety is fairly wide too! I wasn't expecting much on rotation, but it was pretty different for the mains (there are some staples of course) but enjoyable and didn't get boring at all. Wifi is paid only :(

We went with special friends for 14 days to celebrate our shared Wedding Anniversaries and experienced Paradise! Everything and everyone was wonderful! The ambience was calm, peaceful and relaxing. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and attentive. We spent alot of time around the pool whilst snorkelling and swimming and Faruk and his team were always there with our favourite drinks and lovely smile throughout the day and evening. Our mealtimes were made extra special by our waiter Astra who was absolutely wonderful! He was so calm and friendly and knew what we wanted to drink before we did!!! He made every meal time special and fun! Every smile and conversation was genuine. The food was wonderful, varied and tasty. I tried dishes I would never had tried before and the quality of the food was brilliant. The resort was Paradise; you walked through shaded coconut trees to lead you to the beach, restaurant, bars, library. You would see hermit crabs hiding in their shell as you approached them, lizards going up a tree, the lovely family of cats with their kittens who always greeted you on the way. The fruit bats were incredible to watch!! The sand on the beaches was like powder and the sea so turquoise and clear. The snorkelling was out of this world! We saw fish of every colour shape and size. My favourite experience snorkelling was to watch 'Tommy' turtle swimming in the depths, feeding as he went; I'll never forget that experience. It felt such a privilege to look in on their world. The infinity pool was the place to be when the sun was going down; it was magical every day. We had a water villa and loved it! Although you may say the decor was a bit tired, it didn't matter as it had an authentic and rustic feel and above all was kept very clean by Kashum who always greeted us with a smile and decorated our bed beautifully and meticulously for my special birthday and would have for our Anniversary too if I'd not been in bed that day with a migraine!! We could have chosen an island in the Maldives somewhere modern and contemporary but love authenticity and this was the perfect island. The humidity was unbelievable, but our bedroom was permanently cool with the air conditioning and the sea , the pool or a cool shower always kept you cool when needed! When I read you don't need to take shoes, I wasn't sure, but the only time you need them is swim shoes when going into the sea because of a line of coral that washes up on the beach and some flip flops when walking over the board walk in the afternoon when the boards get red hot. Take some to wear if you prefer, but not really needed. We had the holiday of a lifetime in Paradise and I wish all the staff on the island much success and happiness throughout their lives

We went for our wedding anniversary and loved our experience! Great customer service and snorkeling is amazing. The rooms were beautiful and clean. They decorated for our anniversary and served us special dessert. We were very satisfied! I would love to see events planned for other travelers to have fun with other travelers, like game night, karaoke, etc. There was great options of food to choose from!

This is our repeat trip to this island. We primarily returned for the house reef which is rich with thriving corals and amazing fish. Currently staying at the beach villa near exit 6. Great access for snorkelling within a few metres of entering the waters. We will be shifting to the water villas for 3 days as well which will throw up a different experience. Breakfast is extensive and and the servers are friendly. Overall a fabulous holiday experience.

Amazing Resort . Our second trip ! We were here in December 2018 as well. What a special place this is for us ! The staff here are exceptional, very friendly and welcoming. They allow us to enjoy our stay without being intrusive. We’re in the beach cottage near exit 6. Prime location for snorkelling and scuba. Deck chairs with cottage number is printed on the cushions so that you’re guaranteed your own chairs without looking for one by the beach. All in all, as repeat customers it’s a fabulous feeling of being Much appreciated. Highly recommended to this wonderful island Resort

Booked this trip back through Angelfish Travel in January 2021, due to a bargain price and a 40th wedding anniversary. Have been to Reethi Beach four times before, so Fili seemed like a good fit, quiet but comes with a seaplane flight! Fili is an older 4 star resort with simple amenities, a great diving centre, a good, long house reef and an amazingly good restaurant. We stayed in the best room on the island, a deluxe with a stunning view and just 40 m from the sunset bar! We enjoyed the island and would definitely return: - It was Easter, island was full, mainly Europeans, very few Brits, but we never felt as if it was busy, or crowded - Restaurant food was extraordinarily good and wide ranging; - House reef had plenty of fish. Two house turtles one which I saw snorkelling almost every day, plus a few reef sharks and 3 or 4 beautiful baby Blacktip’s in the shallows; - Dive Centre is well run with dive sites providing both easy, blue water diving and adrenalin rush fast current dives; - No jet-skis The resort doesn’t score quite so well on: - No free wi-fi at all, which is a pain. You have to pay for it; - Top of the wide, house reef is shallow, great for swimmers but bleaching, so the bulk of the fish and corals are on the very edge of the reef with its intimidating 30m drop-off, which might put some people off; - Many of the semi-detached ‘superior’ rooms are close-packed under the tall palms, so appeared a bit gloomy; - Small point, but lots of loose coral in the surf zone, reef shoes would be a good idea to save sore feet.

We had a great time on Filitheyo, it ticked all the boxes with lots of r&r, good snorkelling, and repeater guest meal on the beach, fruit & wine upon arrival & we were lucky with the weather too! The bungalows looking a bit tired, but staff very helpful & happy to help. rooms kept very clean & they decorate your bed halfway through stay. The restaurant offers a huge selection of salads, curries, fresh fruit & desserts with usual themed nights - Maldivian, Mexican & continental etc. Our room was ideal for evening sunsets with large beach, easy access to house reef with jungle behind the huts which we like, they did mosquito spray the island regularly. Sunset bar/pool always a good way to end the day looking at the Indian ocean! V limited entertainment which didn't bother us, island had probably 50% occupancy mainly Germans, we did meet some Brits at the end of our stay!

We stayed here for 27 nights and could have stayed longer. We were there primarily for the house reef for the snorkelling. We dont scuba. We were out each day for at least 4 hours and never got bored. We were still having exciting encounters on our final morning and found this to be the most amazing reef we have been on. The currents can be strong, as is the sun: fins and cover up required. The best time of day is before breakfast for the sheer numbers of fish. We stayed in a semi detached bungalow and never had any issues with the several neighbours we had over our stay. The bungalow met all our expectations and had everthing we needed. Our housekeeper, Latheef was very discreet, professional and accomodating to our extra water and diet coke requests. He kept us stocked up and immaculately clean. He also made me cry with the flower display he made on my birthday. Thank you so much Latheef. The restuarant also decorated our table, sang a song and presetned a cake. The bungalow is direct onto the beach and within 40 steps you are in the sea and onto the reef. Fab! The food was perfect for us; excellant diversity to suit all tastes. We did see some very fussy customers but I honestly fail to see how you could not be accomodated with the buffet offers each meal time. A special shout out to egg chef; so polite and makes the best omlettes. His smiling face and "hello" at each service and the pride in his work and the produce was lovely to see. Take time to wander the interior of the island to see the kitrchen gardens where a lot of fresH produce is grown. I went running too, you will need your running shoes, this is not a total barefoot island in this case. The gym is sufficient too. The service at the pool bar is exceptionAL from Farook and the team. Thank you. Service all round was great. We booked direct with the resort and were pleasantly surprised at the efficient sea plane arrangements based on past expieriecne at other resports. We used the Spa for a couples Balanese massage which was heavenly We will come back here when we need another month out :-)

Heaven on earth. We arrived to the airport late after delays. The manager of Filitheyo helped in every way possible to get us on to the sea plane- delaying the flights and taking us to the seaplane terminal airport with him in his own transfer! We have had the most incredible time at this beautiful resort. Water bungalow 38 has the most incredible sunset view. We are able to see a huge array of fish, turtles, dolphins etc from the balcony, and the snorkelling is out of this world. The room is comfortable, clean- the staff work so hard to keep everything restocked and tidy. The food is wonderful. We are all-inclusive, and the food is so varied and beautifully prepared. The waiter service is fantastic- as soon as drinks are finished, the waiters are by your side to take your order. Rabiul at the main bar is lovely. He has made us lots of different cocktails to try ! I have a walking problem, and the waiters even bring me a chair to put my feet up on. Everybody is so thoughtful. Don’t miss the shark feeding at 9:30pm-gorgeous creatures! We just can’t wait to come back!
