Its a building with 3 to 4 banquet halls and they provide rooms with bookings for halls.
The rooms were good and well maintained but quite small and congested.

Kanpur isn't very kind on a business traveler. Kanha is supposedly one of the better hotels in the city. It is nowhere close to the standards I was expecting. The staff appears to be unruly and the food is pathetic. The location is good though. The rates are not for the services offered.

This property is about 20 odd kilometres from the airport and about 5 kilometres from railway station. Rooms are of average size, clean but linen is again old fashioned. Yet to replace TVs with LCDs / LEDs.
Staff is courteous and friendly. Room service is acceptable.
Ample parking space on offer for the guests. Would say not bad but not too good as well. Can Stay for short duration if you are a business traveller.

Hotel is filthy and disgusting! Management and staff really don't have a clue... Rooms had filthy walls and dirty linen. When we complained staff started cleaning and thereafter we were told to move to another branch Continental but really its not set at a standard you would expect

I stayed in this hotel around 2 years ago...The hotel was nice..I stayed for a day and it was worth it..
It was newly built that time..
It is a bit away from the main market..

Neat and clean higher price bracket budget hotel. Stayed for 3 nights (Jun 23-25) comfortable with all amenities. Room and washroom size are small, decor is basic but in Kanpur there is shortage of quality hotels, this is considered above average @ 3.5k ++. Ashok nagar road is the main road dotted with budget and premium hotels

Stayed one night. Compared to the rate charged, the hotel was quite ordinary. However was clean, including bathroom and service was prompt. Some lapses though. No hot water in tap. When asked we were told that due to not enough guests they didn't switch on the geyser and the hot water was supplied in bucket. I thought no wonder there weren't enough guests, when you save money like this you loose more than you save. We had asked for non smoking room, but were given a smoking room, which was later changed. Breakfast was included, but there is no restaurant and the room service menu has just 3 or 4 items.
So if you keep your expectations low and keep reconfirming things at every step you will be ok.

First things first, do not expect to find professionally managed mid-budget hotels in Kanpur.
No decent hotels to stay in Kanpur, except for a couple of them.
Initially I had booked in Kanha Continental (a group hotel), however, when I checked the rooms, I was not keen. They offered me to stay in their own Kanha International.
As I found the room to be OK, I checked in.
The usual points:
Good ones:
1. Decent rooms in Kanpur
2. Location closer to Gumti no. 5 (though it is no more an attraction today)
Bad ones:
1. No restaurant or bar (they have one at Kanha Continental)
2. Limited room service menu. ( I mean seriously limited)
3. Food is not at all tasty.
4. Tiny bathrooms though they are clean.
Nothing much. But, in Kanpur, it is god sent.

Stayed here for a conference. While it looked like just another hotel on the outside, the ambiance inside was much better. The deluxe room was comfortably large with a nice small sitout. The bathroom was clean with a small bathing area. The AC was very old but worked fine. Has a small refrigerator.
Seems to be a better alternative amongst the limited choices.
