We've not long returned from our week away at the Sunrise Beach Hotel and had the most relaxing quality family time together- it was just what we needed! The hotel is so modern, clean with stunning views facing onto the beach. We were half board which we're not used to as normally prefer all inclusive. I worried we'd end up spending lots of extra money on pricey drinks and lunches but everything was reasonably priced and food portions at lunch were massive. The staff were so helpful especially at Reception where nothing was too much effort. We loved the fact that with the half board option you could dine in a range of restaurants in the strip and they were all good nights out. The beach was gorgeous and the sea was so clear & warm. A very very special thank you goes to Tassos who tended the bar at the Adults pool. You made us feel very welcome, always smiling and greeting us each day. You made the best Grenadine and Lemonades for us all ' The Grenadine Family' and it was a pleasure to meet you. You always worked hard but nothing was too much effort whether we wanted to order drinks, lunch or simply find out more information about Cyprus - you are a real asset to the Sunrise Beach & we hope to return to see you one day. It was just the best chilled holiday and we felt very fortunate to have stayed here-thank you!

Stayed here as a family group of 8 of various ages including 2 children. Check in was very quick and welcoming by the excellent Reception staff. We booked Superior sea view rooms which had fantastic views. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom facilities great. A great feature was the allocated sun beds for the whole of your stay. We were happy with ours as they were situated in the garden area which made the most of the October sunshine. Booked on a half board basis so used the dine around. The meals at the Asian, Italian and American Steakhouse we’re all excellent but feel I have to point out the disappointment with the Greek one. Starters were Ok but we all returned the main meals mostly uneaten. Four of us ordered chicken skewers which came as large pieces of chicken thighs and no skewers in sight! The people on the table next to us also returned their meals for the same reason. Even besides this particular dish we found the quality of the other food we ordered to be below par. Hotel is well situated near lots of bars and restaurants so we did sample quite a few. It’s worth walking further along the main beach promenade past boat jetty as we found a great Cypriot restaurant on our last day which we would recommend called Di Capilla. Great hotel which we would return to.

Well after two long years we finally got back to The Sunrise Beach in September. The Hotel is beautiful and situated right on the beach front on one of the best parts of the beach. All management and staff are amazing and can't do enough for you and make your stay very special. Three beach bars to choice from for lunch all service great food and of course drink! Hotel restaurants which are all near by serve great food with friendly staff. Thank you for an amazing holiday have already booked for next year.

Was great to get back to Sunrise Beach Hotel this September after having 5 holidays there cancelled over the last 2 years. This September was a fantastic holiday , everything about this hotel from location, staff , food and service is superb All the staff are very friendly and helpful . There is a great choice for dining with the hotel having a choice of restaurants outside the hotel, all of which are excellent. The location of the hotel virtually on the beach is great as well as two swimming pools There is a pool bar and a beach bar for drinks and snacks during the day and plenty of sun beds which are allocated for your full holiday Already booked for next year

We (me, wife & daughter (9)) just got back from our first trip to Cyprus. I was expecting it to be very similar to most mediterranean holidays, especially the Greek islands, but I think it was even better in many ways. Looking back over the last week I cannot think of any negatives about the hotel or surrounding area, so I'll give an overview of each part: Hotel Building: everything was clean, tidy, working, modern and spacious. No noise, no issues and really friendly helpful staff. Everyone we spoke to - reception, management, bar staff, restaurant staff, towel man etc all spoke very good English and would do whatever they could to help. Hotel Room: we had room 340 which was a superior family room. There was a main bedroom with balcony, and a separate living room/2nd bedroom area with it's own separate balcony. Air con worked great, fridge worked, beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of room for the three of us. Lots of storage space, TV, 2x hair driers, 2 sofa beds and well equipped bathroom. Hotel Grounds: there was a children's pool, a main pool, swim up bar/snack bar all within view of our room. There was also an adults only pool on the other side of the hotel. All food and drink could be charged to your room so there was no need to fuss around with cash/cards which would have been a nuisance if you're getting in/out of the pool all day. There is also an indoor pool, games room and on-site shop. I cannot comment on the several restaurants that were available as we went B&B because we like to get out and try different places and sights. I had originally booked to stay at another hotel but got a bit concerned reading about the 6am hoards of sunbed snatchers. The one thing that made me choose Sunrise Beach over all the other hotels I looked at was the fact that you are allowed to choose your sunbeds after you have checked in (towels are provided and can be changed whenever you like - they also have fitted corners so they stay on the sunbed mattresses nice and snugly!). They are then reserved for you for the whole week with a tag showing your room number so there is no need to worry about getting up early just to make sure you have somewhere to sit/lie. I've never seen this at a hotel before so top marks for this feature - it will probably be the reason we are coming back again next year (possibly twice!). Also, you can change your chosen sunbeds if you find that the location isn't right for you, or if you find that it is too noisy/quiet. Nearby Beaches: the hotel is virtually on the beach; no road to cross at all. The beach is absolutely stunning - clear water, warm, and virtually no weed or rocks while we were there. The sand is soft and there are also plenty of beds - the beds do not belong to the hotel but I didn't see anyone collecting payment for them during the week, so they are possibly free as well? A 5 minute walk away is the equally stunning Fig Tree Bay - this beach gets all the plaudits but in reality is no better than the one right on the Hotel's doorstep (Vrissiana Beach). It's busier and has the small island to look at but apart from that there's not really any difference. Nice for a visit though. Surrounding Areas: there is a boardwalk that seems to run for miles along the edge of the beaches. Walking along this, especially at night, you are going to see a LOT of cats. They are all very friendly and appreciate food and attention. If you or your kids love cats then you'll be in your element! The jetty for the boat trips is a 5-10 minute walk way. Local Bars/Restaurants: Along Protaras Rd, which is where the Hotel sits, there are dozens and dozens of places to eat & drink with a range of entertainment (mostly tribute acts/singers). We saw Pink, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and a few others. There are also plenty of supermarkets, clothes shops, pharmacies etc. Despite all of this, the main road isn't busy at all. It's part of a one way system and only really seems to be used by taxis and buses. Transport is easy to use and frequent... Things To Do: We took a 45minute bus ride through Ayia Napa, and on to Nissi Beach for a day trip. Nissi Beach is stunning and absolutely worth a visit - but it is very busy. Don't expect there to be any free sunbeds. It will be a case of sitting on your towel providing you can find space for it(!). The sea is beautiful though and you can walk out to the island with the water barely reaching waist height. We also did the Dolphin Submarine boat ride, which was great fun and excellent value for money. As I said at the start of the review, we are definitely coming back, and cannot wait! Thanks to all the staff for helping us enjoy our stay!!
