Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is soleless. It has no atmosphere. The reception staff could benefit from a course on customer care. When a fellow traveller asked to move rooms before his bed was full of dead bed bugs he was given an inferior room. When he asked for a discount he was refused with words to the effect of “we moved you, so what’s the problem?” Also the (very quiet) reception refused to print a boarding pass before 10 am

There are some significant positives however. The rooms are large and there is a lake out the back. And the restaurant has a good selection of Chinese and Indian dishes. The ability to have a change from the usual Bangladeshi fare is a plus.

This large hotel complex seems to have it all. Pleasant rooms, decent restaurant, heated outdoor pool, small lake with rental boats, manicured gardens. Although all of these things are present, none are up to Western 4 star standards. Nonetheless, it's a nice change from some of the other hotels in northern Bangladesh.

A bit outside of town, the location is actually pleasantly quiet.

Nice hotel in Bogra if you e.g. plan to go to Mohasthan Garh ruins north of Bogra. Rooms are nice and large. Bed is a bit hard to my taste. Did not have time to visit the pool but assumably there should be a pool somewhere. They spray for mosquitoes in the room.

This is a good value hotel. The Chinese food was excellent though the service slow. The room I'd booked was large and looked great. Unfortunately the hot water didn't work and that's when I found the room phone was also out of order. Got those sorted and got into bed, forgotten to check it on arrival. It had dead bed bugs on the pillow and sheet 😒. On inspection loads more on the floor under the bedside. The hotels answer was first to offer to clean them up, when I insisted on a new room they tried to chagebthe sheets. Eventually the realised I'd only accept a new room. It took an hour to get a down graded, partially cleaned room, but no sign of bugs 😀. On check out they insisted to charge me for the larger room I'd booked not the room I ended up in. I was unfortunate, my 4 colleagues had rooms that weren't bugged.

One of the best hotels in Bogura. The decoration, facilities and services are all good. It has also rooms with wide ranges. Good in cleaning, the swimming pool and gym facility also good. It has lots of open spaces and beautiful landscaping everywhere. The lighting is awesome at night.

Stay: One night (Business trip)

Room: Standard

Pros: OK value for money considering other hotels in this area.
They also have a provision for accommodating your driver.

Cons: The room allotted to me was unclean to begin with
They had allotted me a room whilst being fully aware that there was no TV (it was sent for repairs). They addressed this issue only after repeated calls to the reception (3 hours after checkin)
There is virtually no space to plug in any electronic item (laptop etc)
They have the lamest possible extension cords/multiplugs (wires were exposed)
The geyser didn't work (I was ruing the fact that I had not checked it before while checkin)
The breakfast was just pathetic(The institution should be stripped of the star rating, just for this reason)

Conclusion: The so called "4 star" rating is a complete farce. They don't deserve any star!

This hotel is pretty nice by Bangladesh standards. It is new, clean and popular with locals who use the restaurant often as it is the best place in town. The pool is massive but a bit deep. Even the baby pool is over 150 cm at its deepest. Sometimes the pool is very green, but if you ask them to pump out the water, they will do, so it will be nice and sparkling the next day. Ask when you book so it is ready. The pool is fenced and guarded, so bikini's are OK if you dare! They also have pedalo boats and a lake on the site where you can work up a sweat having pedalo races - not at midnight though!

Nearby:I would recommend Mastangha, Gokul Medh and Vishu Bihar. They are a bit busy (VB is quieter), but they are worth seeing as they supposedly are ruins of the oldest city in Bangladesh and only 15mins north of Bogra. If you walk far enough at Mastangha you can escape the crowds and potter around villages and play with goats etc... There is also a museum which is passable and has a few impressive statues and things in.

Bogra also has a Wonderland, similar to the Gulshan set up, so this is worth a trip for the kids also. If you like cricket, the stadium sometimes hosts international matches and these are fun to go to just to soak up the atmosphere, especially if Bangladesh actually look like winning. There is also a Rajbari in the centre - near Satmata which has some kids rides, but the museum inside the house is worth a look (Tk 2) at how the Raj's used to live a hundred years ago. A bit further away is the Jamuna river.

Take a trip for one hour (East) to Sarikandi where there is a ghat. You should be able to hire a country boat when you turn up for about Tk 500 and get on to the river and away from the crowds. You can even visit a char and have wander around. The isolation is a refreshing change from Bangladesh.
