Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This Motel was excellent value, immaculate room with everything we needed. Ideal location, a short walk to the centre of town. The owner was so helpful and friendly, allowed us to park our car while we went biking for the day and provided a secure lock up for our bikes on our return. We really enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend this Motel highly enough.

Super clean and tidy + quiet and beautiful surrounds, the wonderful parkland next door is fantastically lit at night - it is actually really picturesque - supermarket across the road tops things off - highly recommended.

Best motel on Hauraki Rail Trail. Glenys is a welcoming owner and able to make helpful recommendations. Clean and spacious rooms with good facilities. So close to Mineral Spa and cafes and restaurants. Quiet end of town. Bike storage.

This motel is without a doubt the best I have ever stayed at. My unit on arrival, was warm, welcoming, bright, airy and spotlessly clean. On the second day of my stay, housekeeping repeated to the same exacting standard as on arrival. Glenys and Robin are a beautiful couple. Very warm, friendly and a pleasure to meet. A return visit is now planned.

We sheltered at the hotel during Cyclone Gabrielle. The owners were extremely friendly and couldn't be more helpful during the storm The room rented had extremely pleasant décor, was spacious and very clean. It included a well stocked kitchen and large bed. I couldn't recommend this motel more.

We have stayed at the Te Aroha Motel for 4 days. The room was very nice and comfortable. Glenys and Robert were very friendly and very helpful. They fulfilled our extra wishes immidiately. They had wonderful proposals what to undertake. This made our stay. We will certainly come back next time and we can and will recommend the motel to others.

The unit was nice and clean and had everything that we needed. Jumped into bed and had the best sleep ever in a hotel / motel bed. Funny thing was other guests who were also staying there who we talked to also raved over the beds. Will be back....

Feeling so fortunate to have experienced this gem of a hotel. Nestled at the base of the mountain, it's just a quick walk to the mineral spas and heads of the gorgeous hiking trails. Also just steps to the Domain and the quaint, quirky village. The rooms are well appointed and tidy, the beds high quality and super comfy. Robin and Glenys will make you feel at home - making sure you have everything you need - including drink and lots of laughter. We hope to be able to escape to this magical place again soon.

Our family had a 3 night stay here in early August. It was a warm, comfortable room. There was a heater in the main room, but we found the room warm enough without using it. There is also a full size fridge. Lovely gardens to sit in and take in the view of Mt Te Aroha. Great service from staff. Would definitely stay again.
