We are staying here at present and thoroughly enjoying our stay only been here 4 days but can’t find any faults at present. My husband uses a mobility scooter and although we’ve had some issues the staff have been more than helpful. Two issues in the room on arrival were dealt with promptly and efficiently. In the restaurant the food is behind screens and you choose what you would like and it has all been very nice up to now my only criticism would be I have to say to the member of staff serving “stop” as if I didn’t the plate would be overflowing!! All the staff receptionists, restaurant staff, cleaners and bar staff so very friendly and helpful they are a great asset to the hotel. Ramps are fine to use the scooter to restaurant and pool just sad we can’t use the rooftop bar which is the only bar open in the evenings as this is only accessible by steps but we knew this before we arrived. We asked for a room overlooking rooftop bar which we have been given and has the most amazing views thinking we could watch any entertainment which pre Covid would have been fine but sadly no entertainment at present. If anyone has mobility issues and not using a mobility scooter there are quite a few steps around the complex but there is a lift to all the rooms. We would definitely return as despite limitations the staff as said previously are amazing and the hotel is amazing value as a base if you want to eat out at times there are a few restaurants nearby and only about a 15/20 minute walk into centre of Pefkos

I stayed for 7 nights at the eagles nest hotel, and May I say that every single me never of staff was so lovely and wanted to be there to make my stay amazing at every opportunity. The food that comes with the all inclusive was nice, some days the food was rather similar to the day before but I always found something that I could eat.

Nikolas the hotel driver is by far the nicest man in the whole of Greece! He will take you where you want to go either for free, or for a small fee much cheaper than the price of a cab. He made me laugh everyday and was by far the nicest man and the biggest legend in the country.

The only small issue I had throughout my stay was a lot of ants on the balcony, when I told the reception however this was sorted extremely quickly. The ants were dealt with and cleaned completely.

Overall I would recommend the eagles nest if you’re looking for a chilled holiday with a hotel that isn’t going crazy. They’ve dealt with social distancing quite well. But could do with a slight improvement on the soft drinks.

All the bad staff were super lovely and I had some great times with some of them that I will always remember.

When it comes to the hotel room, the rooms are clean looking and cosy. They come with fruit and sandwiches Upon entry which I didn’t really eat, but it’s a nice touch. The TV had only 1 channel which spoke in English and played movies 24/7. A lot of the movies were a bit rubbish but that did have some great movies which we found on the schedule and planned a movie night when the best showing was on. The only issue is that the subtitles were stuck in Arabic however, this did not bother us too much.

Location wise there is some nice stuff to do around - due to covid 19 the hotel has removed a number of sunbeds from the poolside. So if you wake up too late to get one you can walk less than 1 minute and find yourself and the pool bar/restaurant where you can swim all day and get good food and drinks. At the Eagles Nest you are sighing a 10 minute walk of the supermarkets, restaurants, bars and Kavos Beach. If you need to go anywhere else, Nikolas will take you up to 5pm when he finishes.

On Wednesday nights they have Greek night at the hotel which involves a live band coming in, playing great music and putting on a good performance.

Overall I am leaving the hotel today as a happy guest and I’ve loved relaxing at the Eagles Nest Hotel.

I have been to Pefkos 4 times now over the years as I find it a very friendly safe and welcoming resort for families and couples. Even singles would soon feel relaxed. There is a great choice of places to eat/bars plus bars two which have a dancefloor but still retains some Greek charm. The Eagles Nest was good value same price for all inclusive as self catering at the other properties I was interested in. I think if you stay in a 3 star all inclusive you have to expect the food to be acceptable and use it as a base for breakfast, drinks, lunch then maybe dinner out as it can get monotonous plus there are four amazing places to eat within a five minute walk, If you want 5* All Inclusive I would go 4 or 5* somewhere else. Saying that some of the meals were excellent especially if you ate the Greek dishes. The drinks are local and it took me a while to find my favourites but the bar staff are quite happy to make it a double! All the staff are excellent even the guy on night shift reception who presented us with sandwiches at 1am when we arrived. The hotel has a quiet peaceful atmosphere and the walk into Pefkos is not too bad (10 mins down 15 mins back) we even walked back which is a hill but much easier than the hill at the other side of Pefkos where the Pefkos Blue is located now that is a killer. There are about 5 places to stop and eat or drink if your mobility is not good. As for room tips if you want to see the sea and afternoon sun/sunsets you need to be at the front of the hotel top floor overlooking the country road but it's not busy and only used by people staying in this area/locals plus when sat on the balcony you cannot see the road. The location was very quiet so perfect for me and the sounds of the birds, crickets and a few hens made for a lovely chilling afternoon on the balcony and I did feel like I was in Greece. Oh I always tip the staff at the start of the holiday - they really do appreciate it. Ask for a kettle too as we found one wasn't provided and the safe was free. If you love Greece and all that comes with it's rustic charm and are happy to embrace a few flaws you won't be disappointed!

The reviews/pictures online looked amazing and we couldn't wait to stay but when we got here it was completely different. The room we booked was 'deluxe twin' we received a ground floor/view of a road double room with a concrete bathroom. It looked like it had been half way through being redone. The balcony was unusable due to the view being a site for sore eyes and feeling very exposed. As two young girls we didn't feel particularly safe. We stayed for 5 nights and had a cleaner once, we had to keep asking reception for toilet rolls as we were only given one. There was a kettle but no mugs/cups. Lack of storage for our belongings and had to live out of a suitcase. The hotel itself wasn't much better, there were ants everywhere and the breakfast selection was poor- two mornings there was no toaster and the coffee machine was broken. Upon arrival we were advised we could book late check out the day before we left and find out when our transfer bus was coming, we did this around 36 hours before we were due to leave and were told we couldn't have late check out and we could leave our suitcases in the gym- this is not locked/secure and our luggage could be seen by anyone. For a hotel that says it is deluxe I certainly wouldn't agree and would argue I've stayed in nicer hostels.

Stayed here for one week staff are extremely helpful. Rooms very clean. Food is what you would expect for all inclusive at this price (not the best but you can always find something) Kavos beach 5 min walk away stunning beach quite private too. Town centre approx 10-15 min walk (nice walk in the evening daytime to hot to walk there)
Staff at eagles nest have all been so polite friendly and helpful. Staff make this a lovely place to stay

OK, where to start........................

We arrived about 10.45 pm. At reception we were told that they were over booked and they had no room for us. Not what we expected to hear!!

They had booked us into another 'very nice' hotel towards Landros for the night and we should return to the Eagles Nest after having breakfast. The Ilyssion Hotel was not a comparable 4 star by any stretch of the imagination and we had clearly been put in a room that wouldn't normally be used. It was sparse and the bathroom very tired. However, it was clean, although the bed was a mattress on a metal spring frame - not great for sleep as every time one of us moved the metal squeaked. We were equally unimpressed by breakfast. It was cafeteria style and not good quality. The General Manager was extremely helpful and told us been contacted the day before we arrived on the island to see if they had availability, so this was planned ahead. It was not a great night as the hotel was all inclusive and people had clearly been drinking for a long time and the Greek entertainment was extremely loud.

We went by taxi back the the Eagles Nest after breakfast, as instructed, only to be disappointed again!! We had booked and paid for a Deluxe Room with private pool, but were told there one wasn't available for this our second night on the island. We were given a room with a mountain view, in fact the mountain was about 6ft from the balcony!!

Another day/night living out of a suitcase!!

Once in our proper room we were able to unpack and start our holiday 3 days in. Over the next fews days it became apparent that this shunting of guess happened regularly and we were told that the owners of Eagles Nest always over book up to 20 rooms and we witnessed other arrivals being sent to alternative hotels on their arrival during our stay.

This should not be acceptable under any circumstances especially as it seems to be a regular occurrence. Do not book this hotel.

We wouldn't rate Eagles Nest as 4 star, even by Greek standards - at best it is 3 star. I know that hotel bathrooms are usually small, but here they are similar to a phone box. Breakfast was a reasonably good buffet - hot and continental. The lunch is a pool bar snack menu, which is ok, but the evening buffet was very much the same most evenings. Because of the difficulties we experience on our arrival we were 'upgraded' (and I use the term closely) to fully inclusive. The house white wine on fully inclusive was easily 75% water and revolting and cocktails watered down with below normal strength liquors. The hotel used to have an al carte menu, but certainly not for some time.

The staff on the ground were very nice, helpful and friendly and were the saving grace of our holiday, but the management clearly don't care about the experience they give guests.

We would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would certainly never go back.

I know that people want different things from their holidays, but I find it hard to believe all the positive reviews we read.

Our stay at the Eagles Nest was amazing! The staff is what made it so special. All were super friendly and helpful. Armando and Michales at the pool bar always made sure the guest were having a great time. The two ladies at the reception were always very friendly and helpful. Of course the dining and cleaning staff were just as vital to the comfort of our stay.

The location is great because the hotel is not directly in the middle of the busier area in Pefkos which means more privacy. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk down one road to get to the main area.

Our room had a jacuzzi on the balcony which was great for the cooler nights. The room was basic but clean. The bathroom was very small and the shower outdated but very clean, we spent most of the time out or at the pool bar so the room served its purpose. The only negative that bothered us was that in the morning we could hear everyone in the hallway. I’m not sure if the door and walls are just thin or the acoustics of the hotel but it was a frustrating not able to sleep in.

There was a buffet offered during breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was the usual continental/English breakfast and was pretty good. Dinner was sufficient if you didn’t feel like leaving the restaurant. I wish the hotel offered more local food choices on the dinner buffet.

There is an a la carte menu for the pool bar and there are some good choices. I had a very tasty gyro!

We will be back!! We miss the Nest already!

The Eagles nest has some great attributes and could be a fabulous hotel but it does need attention. We arrived for a friends 60th birthday and surprised them, they had stayed many times before and said what a beautiful hotel it was.
When we arrived we were upgraded to a seaview room on the bottom floor which we thought was so lovely of the hotel until we got to our room and the smell of sewage was horrendous! We went to reception and straight away Anna offered to move us the following day, absolutely no bother. We had to endure the room for one night and thankfully it was just one night as the bed might as well have been made of steel it was back breaking. I told the receptionist Helena and she assured me where we were moving to the bed was far mre comfortable and she was true to her word! The room was spacious, bright, spotless clean and had a wonderful seaview with great views all round, and the bed was fab. The cleaners did a great job and came every other day which was fine. Most of the staff were fantastic and must say a shout out to the bar staff (dont know their names) Anna on reception and Nikolas who always had a smile on his face and was ready to help with lifts to the beach, in fact we paid the hotel for nikolas to take us to the airport for our return home and he was fabulous. But the star of the Hotel is definately Helena on reception, nothing is too much trouble for her and she goes above and beyond her duties, she organised quad bikes, trips everything and on our last day/night there was a power cut and all wifi and computers were down, Helena had said she would print our boarding passes for our return as soon as the power came back on, it didnt and we just decided we would sort at the airport. That evening Helena came up to the roof terrace bar to say she was finishing shortly but if i came down to reception she would take all my details on her private phone and go to her friends house and sort my boarding passes and bring them in the next morning, ironically when i went down to reception the wifi returned and she could print it straight off, but I will never forget her kindness. She is an asset to the hotel and deserves a raise! Our group of 20 plus all said so. Drinks were ok.
Bad bits: Not enough and broken sunbeds (although the owner was trying to address this. No entertainment at all. The food left a lot to be desired and was very repetitive and frankly very bad a lot of the time with very little choice, I understand there has been a change in ownership and the food has gone down but this needs to be addressed asap as with a few changes this could be a wonderful hotel, but they need to be addressed before returning guests desert them in their droves as so many we spoke to said they were going to. I for one would return if these changes were implemented as good clean hotel with fantastic views and staff

First time to pefkos. Really lovely place. Lots of lovely restaurants with roof top dining. Traditional Greek dishes.
Went to lindos forage evening. (12 euros in a taxi)
In my opinion this is must see. White washed cobbled streets/lanes. Very scenic.
We paid for a deluxe sea view room but was allocated a mountain view room. Reception said they had no confirmation of this. Fortunately I had my confirmation and showed them the proof. (Never book with teletext holidays)
We had two days in a mountain view room and then they changed us to the room we paid for. Room 4002 which was much bigger and better. Beautiful sea views. Good sized glass balcony. One double bed and a single bed plus a pull out sofa. Sun was on out balcony ALL DAY which was perfect for us. TV did not work. A/C was great. Lovely powerful spacious shower. Tea/coffee facilities (you need to bring your own tea bags/milk etc and none provided)
Comfortable bed (we asked for extra pillows)
The weather for early October was amazing (between 28-32) Private taxi transfers quite pricey (75 euros) 55 minutes journey.
There are so many nice things about pefkos and I will definitely be returning in the future.

Stayed here in October obviously taking the decision to attend during the added restrictions. We booked the hotel indirectly at a really good deal. We remember this hotel when it was the Filimon but had never stayed there.
What makes the Eagles Nest is the friendly & assertive staff which is the main reason why I have given it a very good rating otherwise it would have been average. The hotel facilities were okay. I would say that the building/rooms are a little tied now & are need of a refurb. Our room was spacious & very quiet. The beds were comfy & the balcony large enough for two people.
The initial cleanliness of the room could have been better but we did arrive early so they probably rushed to get the room cleaned for us.
We stayed B&B which was pretty basic but good & again restricted as you were served by the staff.
We only used the bar & pool area the once, which was very quiet. Spending most of the day at the local beaches.
For us the distance to the main part of the resort wasn't an issue & loved the 10/15 minute walk.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, especially with what we had paid which was extremely good value which included breakfast. I would have expected more if we had paid the full price & would have maybe felt a bit different with my expectations.
