Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved our stay! Food was yummy, service was great! Beds were comfy too. Definitely recommend staying here. We would recommend hiring a car for a few days to explore the island more. We only paid about £30 each (2 people) to hire a far for 4 days!

Me and my boyfriend decided to staying this hotel on a whim recently and it’s one of the best decision we’ve made. The staff are so friendly and make you feel extremely welcome particularly Emma,Costas,Bill and Giannes although all the staff have been a joy to be around. The food is lovely and there is a decent variety. The beach is a 2 minute walk and absolutely stunning and the hotel room was cleaned regularly and the reception staff were quick to help when needed. Overall a wonderful place to stay :) !!

I have to be honest and say that the hotel outside it looks good ,next to the sea, nice beach bar, but the room was not even one star ,the furniture is old and broken, bathroom looks good in the pictures but in reality is all rusty and you wouldn't wanna have a bath in there ,very very tiny as well ,the mattress of the bed is hard as a rock, the fridge is horrible ,rusty ,old and making a very loud noise( is impossible to sleep by night). We are not a sassy couple or people with very high expectations but we payed for a 4 star hotel from our hospital salaries (and belive me it was a hell of a year for us) and what we got was not even 2 stars accommodation when it was the time for us to finally relax. I can say some of the staff is nice and caring but most of them serving at the restaurant ( as covid restrictions wouldn't allow us to get what we want from all inclusive, so staff members has to do the service ) those guys were treated us as we came to get the food free from the cantin, not even ones a smile on their face or a nice look in their eyes...more then sure they were tired as wasn't enough staff but still we were there to relax not to fell their problems and unhappiness. Always we had to stay in a long queue to get a drink or food ,the alcoholic drinks from the pool bar are disgusting. Very disappointed as the hotel in the pictures was looking stunning and all what we wanted was a good sleep ,eat and relax.. I will leave a few pictures in here so you can see . By the way, the island is gorgeous ,wanderful beaches, wanderfull water and full of history.

I would not come to Sunrise Hotel again. The rooms are very small and badly arranged, the space between a table and a bed is so small that even a child has a problem to squeeze in. There was quite a good choice of food but it had no taste. Meat was dry, no spices were used. Do not even try desserts, you feel they are all made of powdered premixes. The same is true for soft drinks. The lowest quality powder mixtures are used. Simply said, if you are used to natural food and drinks, you will be very disappointed. The swimming pool is a disaster. Very slippery floor, a small pool with lots of children and adults jumping in, even from the top of the bridge over the pool. There is no person responsible for safety at the pool, swimming is at your own risk. There is an absolute lack of sunbeds. You need to get up at 6 to reserve your sunbed. Apparently a lot of sunbeds were taken to the beach where you need to pay for them. If you have a child who does not want to be at the beach but you need to watch your child at the swimming pool, sitting on the floor is the only option. Nobody cares that the sunbeds at the beach are empty all the time and people are fighting for them at the swimming pool. The manager does not care at all, saying tourists will come again anyway. All the time you have the feeling that the hotel wants to make an impression at the lowest possible cost. Not a good place to spend your holiday.

We stayed at the Sunrise for a week in May 2019. We were welcomed and advised to check in after having lunch as the restaurant would be closing soon, which was fab as we were hungry. Our room was very spacious and clean with a great view over the pool and sea. The food in the restaurant was very good. Lots of choice and very friendly staff. Our room was cleaned every day and clean towels and sheets were also changed daily. We had a fantastic stay and can find nothing to be negative about. There is quite a lot of building going on but we could not hear it and it did not interfere with our holiday. Overall a very lovely hotel for couples and families. The walk into Pefkos takes about 15 mins but a taxi is only 4 euros.

We visited the hotel as quests in the end of September, we spent the hole day in the beautiful private beach and we ate at the main restaurant where the service was amazing (special mention to the Maitre and Sous Maitre they know how to make you enjoy your stay). At night there was a band playing in front of the beach bar and we really enjoyed having our cocktail from the great bartender Stelios! Great experience we will definitely come back! Thank you sunrise hotel !
