It’s definitely a 2* which isn’t a problem if you don’t overpay which we didn’t.
By booking separately for three adults, four nights b&b, we paid £330 accommodation, £400 flights, £130 transfer = £860 … the right price. Current Jet2 package price for September £1500, far too much to pay and not good value!
When checking in were were told we probably wouldn’t see a cleaner during our stay, and they were right, a first for us, so we had no bed making, no change of towels and we had to empty our own bins and buy our loo rolls …
Room was basic but clean on arrival, no proper lock on balcony door and shower heads (x2) were blocked with limescale and barely worked, but we managed!
** Make sure you’re not overcharged for aircon (€15) as we were … owner sorted it out on the last day **
Cooked breakfast adequate but sausage had a strange aftertaste (each day) and only two small margarine sachets for four slices of 🍞
Lovely large pool with plenty of beds but quite frustrating that owner actively encourages non-residents to use pool (profit from drink sales) with signs at both entry points to accommodation so some days busy, others quiet.
Only problem with this is you never know who’s laid next to you or watching you particularly if you have kids.
Clearly this is always an issue but at least ‘only’ residents have to show passports etc. when booking and staying at hotel accommodation so some peace of mind 🫤
Location of accommodation was perfect for us close to the subdued nightlife of Pefkos!
Be sure to email prior to arrival if you’re going to be late as reception is not 24/7, they will let you know what room number you’re in and your key will be waiting for you in the door of your room!
To summarise we will return here if the price is right .. 🌞 💰 🍻

On arrival at silly o’clock Paul the boss checked us in and set out his rules which took about 15 minutes. It’s his place he’s had a few bad experiences and clearly wanted to set his stall out. It’s not what you want after you’ve been travelling for hours but we agreed to be model residents and he happily served us we us beers and bottled water even though it was daft o’clock we had a bit of a laugh and went off to our room.
The room was large well equipped and the beds were really comfy! Nice big balcony plenty of chairs.
Pool is huge, plenty of beds some days busier than others but always lots of spare beds if needed. At least 50% of guests were repeaters and all were really friendly nice vibe about the place.
During the day there’s a decent sized food menu and Diane and Maisie are absolutely fabulous they work really hard to make you happy! Food is cracking. In the evening Paul takes over and he’s really a great guy full of stories about his time living in the states and good to have a giggle with not difficult to see why so many return year after year.
Some of the reviews are comical I mean really! You can only eat around the pool what you have purchased from the bar - absolutely standard for any place! You get a couple of loo rolls then top up at the shop yourself. It is literally 100 feet away 🙄 and 90cents. The bar categorically does not stink of stale fat. The apartments are cleaned once a week and I mean CLEANED, Linda leaves not a spec of dust! it is more than sufficient. The lighting on way down when arriving at night is limited but it’s a few steps in dim light you’re not tracking the Sahara for a couple of miles without a camel to carry your stuff.
Overall this is very good self catering accomodation run by the loveliest group of people you could hope to meet. If we stayed again we’d ask to be further away from the bar as the music is on all day and I missed listening to the cicadas on the balcony. This would have been the only change I would have made and to be honest I think most people would prefer the music 😂
Location is bang on, very central. The pool is lovely, plenty of beds. We stayed in a studio, very spacious, lots of wardrobe space and loads of coat hangers! Nice balcony but being on the ground floor we were bothered by the cats.
Now the negative.
Uncomfortable beds, and the cleaner only came once to change the towels and bedding. The food at the pool bar isn’t great and the drinks prices aren’t cheap. After paying during check in for the air con, room tax and safe, on day 5 the air con was switched off. When we went to sort it the owner was very stroppy with us, saying we hadn’t paid! We assured him we had, quoting exactly how much we paid. The next morning we went to have a word with Diane who checked us in and she also insisted we hadn’t payed, saying she hadn’t written it in the book so we can’t have, i even went over the conversation we had when she said we probably wouldn’t need it, but she wouldn’t have it, saying she couldn’t imagine why she wouldn’t put it in the book? We were maid to feel like liars but we stood our ground. In future I suggest they start giving out receipts like most places do! It certainly soured our holiday

The room was very spacious, large twin beds, sheets were see thru prob been washed that many times. XL wardrobe plenty of coat hangers, and a large dresser. Sofa bed in there too. Large terrace with table and 2 chairs. Bathroom was good size.
Swimming pool is a good size but deep, kids pool next to it, and Jacuzzi next to it, never saw it working so can't comment. Plenty of beds around pool, we'd get to pool and a lot of the beds had towels on!! Plus plenty of signs for you to read of what you can and can't do in pool area. Says there's a pool bar?? Behind the signs is the bar and kitchen,..
We went for cooked breakfast once, it was vile! The beans where abs disgusting! Woman on next table had Nutella and pancakes, loads of Nutella but 6 TINY pancakes, wouldnt of filled my 3 year old!
Later on in the afternoon we bought 2 drinks, I had a vodka cocktail and OH had Bacardi and coke, 1st time I've seen them use a measure for spirits... And charged 16€.
Would we stay there again, maybe just for the pool!

The pool is amazing, huge but not overly busy, diane cooks a lovely breakfast and lunch! Gyros are delicious. Rob is friendly and helpful, lovely english girl behind the bar was really lovely too. Paul, the owner is running a business, so yes there's rules but everyone knows where they stand with him that way, he went over and above in making sure we got the most out of our time here, helping with transport advice etc.
Air conditioning is a must didn't drop below 34 degrees in july whilst we were there and there is a charge for that, also contact them by email and it's there in the room when you arrive!
Rooms clean and tidy, close to all amenities.
Felt safe in town as not huge, really friendly and lots of lovely people.
I was worried when husband booked it as not great reviews but we loved every minute!
Only about 25 apartments so everyone got to know everyone around pool and bar, really community feel to it
Once you have gone thru the do's and don'ts and checked in you'll love it.
Fridge and air con worked well all beit a bit expensive at €100 a week.
Beer is priced at €5 for a large alpha.
It's.true you only get 1 loo roll but it's not a problem with a shop at the top of the slope.
And you are asked to take out your own rubbish but wasn't an issue with plenty of bins scattered around.
All in all we had an excellent week here and would definitely come back if visiting pefkos again.
