Just returned from a fantastic holiday at Evi. We were wowed by the fantastic location so close to the lovely St Thomas and Plakia beach and very convenient for all the lovely restaurants and bars in Pefkos. Spotless pool area and bar, always sun beds available and food and drinks in bar reasonably priced and great food for a chilled breakfast/ snack or lunch.
Evi is a small family run business, just 26 rooms with very spacious, well kept grounds and Taz and Natalie and the cleaners work really hard to maintain the studios and apartments, bar and pool area and provide guests with a friendly, welcoming, peaceful environment to enjoy their holiday.
To counteract the previous review “horrified’ if I may as it seems in my opinion very harsh at best and at worst misleading. There is no doubt that there may be some truth in the negative comments in this review and others as the apartments are in need of an update. It’s always possible to see negatives and zoom in and take pictures of the many signs of wear and tear, however the apartments are kept very clean, beds are very comfy and everything you need for a good nights sleep and a base for a holiday. Taz is clearly working very hard to maintain his small business following a very difficult couple of years and in my opinion it’s important to remember this and the fact that as an “exclusive to TUI” hotel very little of the income from holidays is going back into the business and I would guess an update to the apartments may not currently be financially viable.
As mentioned numerous times the air con is quite expensive and we choose not to pay for a late check out but for us we had a fantastic holiday in a stunning quiet location with very comfortable, clean rooms, a fab pool and bar area and very much appreciated the hospitality from a lovely, hard working couple.
If you want less basic, modern rooms and a bigger hotel with all the facilities don’t go! For us it was perfect and a very welcome change from the usual bigger apartments with a heaving pool area and naff entertainment. TUI advertise that there is entertainment but I think this may have been pre covid and the bar closed between 6 and 9pm when we were there and last orders for food is 5pm.

We never normally return to anywhere twice as we like to explore new places but are considering returning in October which says it all!!

Booked a late deal on 24th July with Tui for 1 week. Description on Tui website is accurate, simple basic studio was very clean with comfortable beds and brilliant a/c (new unit in room 109) though a bit pricey at €75 pw it was essential in the heatwave! Tiny, tiny bathroom with typical Greek shower tray and curtain but very powerful shower and always had hot water. Nice sea view through the olive grove. The studios don't have a Reception and instructions on our room were left on a whiteboard on the drive with key in the room for any arrivals after 7pm.
Great location 5 mins from main street and 3 lovely quiet sandy coves less than 100yds through the olive grove. Lovely pool area and good reasonably priced food and drinks available during the day. Friendly staff.
Pefkos was very quiet as were Evi Studios but that was exactly what we wanted for this break. No issues with flights, transfers or covid related checks and tests - most restaurants and bars were open and very welcoming. Felt very safe.
Only negative were the tiny ants in the studio - they seemed to be everywhere!
Late deal price paid so good value no frills break.

Just about to leave after a week here and don't want to go home. We arrived late in evening to the details on the A frame telling us room number and where to find it, wasn't difficult and we were very pleased with the size of room (305). Couldn't appreciate the views until daylight and certainly was not disappointed!!! Pool area is lovely, clean and friendly and def sun all day so ignore previous review from Essex dean. 2 small cove beaches in a minutes walk from our room, fantastic menu, great fresh orange juice and nice coffee. Menu is very reasonably priced as are most of the restaurants surrounding Evi. 10euro for taxi into lindos but ask for bottom square. Yes there is an issue with ants, wow, they don't cause any harm. Landa & Taz are very helpful an welcoming and helped me to sort out all the required papers for my return home and for that I am very grateful, they could have turned their back and played ignorant, but they didn't! Pefkos itself appears to be very friendly and extremely safe and we would highly recommend 👍. Just looking and listening to others you can tell people return again and again. Well done Evi for giving us a well deserved break, THANK YOU

I chose these apartments based on old reviews about it being small & friendly with some evening entertainment. When I arrived there at 9pm the place looked deserted. I spent several minutes panicking that I'd been dropped off to a place that was shut down, then eventually found a sign on window at the bar stating that the manager could be contacted via WhatsApp out of hours. I sent a message and after what felt like an eternity I was advised that the board with my room details must have blown away & that my room was unlocked with the key inside. Later that week I did see a board with instructions for other guests, but this wasn't the best start to my holiday. I paid a premium as a single traveller so was surprised to be given a room that contained 4 single beds. One double would have been much more comfortable. The rooms are very basic but I expected this. The shower was powerful & there was always hot water.... and ANTS... the kitchen & bathroom areas were both heavily infested. The pool area did not look friendly or welcoming, and was very shady. I had friends that were staying at other hotels that were far superior & they hadn't paid much more than me for their rooms. I spent most of my holiday around the pool at the Finas hotel which was lovely. Location wise the Evi is pretty close to the main strip, and there is a beach that you can access where they will charge you 6 EUR each for a sun bed. My main issue with the location was that you have to walk down the main road & there is no pavement at this end of the town. I wouldn't chose to stay here again, mainly because I enjoy the holiday vibe around the pool, and I didn't like the small dark area that was provided, also WiFi was only in that area, it didn't extend around the whole complex and is pretty much an essential service for me... as is air conditioning that had a rather extortionate extra fee

We are just back from 2 weeks in Evi studio. First both hosts were very friendly, nice and helpful. We arrived at 1.15/1.30 am to the place in complete darkness there was people in the pool and they shouted at us that out room number was on the window and the room was open only for that we were lost. The place is only open 9 to 5. The rooms are well dated but kept very clean by the cleaners. But beds are not changes enough and fresh towels every 3 days or 4 days as there is no cleaning in sun isn't good enough. Beds in our room were very comfortable. Ur air con is on till 1pm the next day then knocked off and its 145eur for the 2 weeks or Its 75eur for a week. Which is an absolute disgrace. The private beach to the end of the apartment block is lovely but at a charge of 15eur for 2 beds and on umbrella per day. The restaurant as describe is the description is frozen pizzas only there is nothing else. The pool is nice but 2 small for the amount of rooms and the amount of kids that arrived towards the end of our stay. There is only 1 key given to you and a fee of 30 if u lose it. Location is ideal as its not even 5 mins walk to the top of the resort. Check our is 10am which is very early as all fights to England and Ireland are at night time. Ours was 12.30am sun. We got late check out still 3pm which cost 40eur.

Alot of the previous reviews are of people that got last min deals due to the terrible fires the island had and their holidays were extremely cheap we on the other had booked this hols in June. And we paid well over 3 times what some of them paid. So having to pay for aircon and late check out our bill was 2.5k plus and this place is totally not worth this. If i got 2weeks in the sun for less than 1k for 2 I'd be delighted but we defo didn't get value for money. All in all I would not stay here again its not good enough for the money we paid

This is a very honest and truthful review despite people advising to ignore the bad reviews.

We arrived in complete darkness and waited for information where our room was. Some kind ladies pointed to a map in the window showing where we was located and the keys were in the rooms. Despite requesting a downstairs appartment due to my disability if was upstairs along a shingle driveway where I could not use my mobility scooter. I had no choice but to struggle with the 17 steps.

In the morning I met with the TUI rep, George, to discuss the issues but the manager said he had no other accommodation available and could not make a swap and I had to make do. He said I had to leave my mobility at the ice cream freezer to charge as I was in an upstairs apartment which was totally unsatisfactory. The next day, to my disgust the people downstairs advised me they arrived the evening before and would happily of swapped. I pointed this out to the manager as he said it wasn't his problem.

The apartment was very dated with door handles hanging off the doors and cracked tiles on the floor. The aircon only blew out warm air and did not work properly. The manager would not refund us as he said it was meant to be like that. It was very well equipped with only 3 plates and 2 glasses for a family. Sometimes there was no running water in the shower and when there was it only lasted for a minute. Again, apparently that was normal!

Throughout the holiday the manager was totally unhelpful and just hid behind his desk and sunglasses. Any complaint made by anyone he was very rude and completely dismissive. The atmosphere around the pool was very negative as all you could hear was complaints about him. It was a shock when we went to The Collesum (another hotel) to see friends that we saw a lot of the guests from Evi there as they hated the conduct of the manager. He took ice-cream off children as he said you could not bring your own food to eat round the pool. A big confrontation took place which is not what you want to see on your holiday.

When the forest fires took control, the water and electricity was cut. The manager decided to shut up the bar, as he always did at 5pm sharp, leaving us with no drinks or information. He advised we would probably be evacuated but to look out for texts on our phones. He then left to go home without any duty of care to us. He shortly came back as the roads were closed but did not tend to any guests but went to the owners house to take refuge.

After reading other reviews of hotels in Pefkos I feel totally cheated as people have had excellent experiences at other hotels in the close vicinity. This was meant to be a celebration for our 30th wedding anniversary as we had our honeymoon in Rhodes but was totally ruined by this experience.

My advice is please choose carefully and think about what experience you want from your stay.

We came to Evi Studios in May & loved it so much so we returned in late September / October for 2 weeks. The location of Evi is brilliant as it's only within a stone throw away from the main village strip of bars & restaurants. The rear of the apartments lead onto a lovely small quiet coved beach ( St Thomas ) & adjacent to this is Plakia Beach which is our most favourite one in Pefkos
( not all apartments in the area back onto a beach like Evi does ). The rooms yes are basic but so many other people & friends we met that were staying in different other complexes in Pefkos said most accommodation in the area is the same. Although basic, our room was clean, functional, lovely balcony with sea view, fridge with bottle of water on arrival, cleaners come most days & they are lovely ladies. Anything we asked for we got. A socket was loose on our wall so after reporting it this was fixed immediately. We asked for our toasted sandwich maker to be replaced by a normal toaster this was also done immediately. Anestis & Anastasia the managers were fantastic. They were so friendly, hospitable & accommodating & made a point of welcoming us both back again on arrival with great warmth. Every day when we walked in the bar, Anastasia was already pouring my favourite Greek beer & making Jills drink without us even ordering. They asked us where we had been to the night before & we would sit & talk with them for ages sharing stories, hence they were lovely sociable hosts. I have read some of the negative comments on here regarding Anestis ( although there are more positive comments about him outweighing the negative ) but I feel these comments are unjustified as most of them relate to the accommodation & it's unfair to blame the manager about the rooms. Yes the rooms, despite being clean & functional are probably in need of a refurbishment but this is NOT the managers fault at all. I do agree with other comments on here that Evi studio needs a larger daytime food menu & the bar needs to open later however again this is NOT the managers choice or his fault. Anyway on the whole we feel Evi is a great choice as it has a fantastic location, a lovely pool, our room was ok & the staff were very friendly. We are hoping to return in May to Evi again & wish you all a great holiday, good health & happiness 👍

we got this place last min because of the fires on rhodes it was an absolute bargain . Ideally situated for someone with mobility issues access for rollator was not a problem and even doable access to the beach with a change to walking stick for own private beach . Anesti and anastastia are both lovely abd the cleaners are very prompt and thorough . Pool area is kept clean and tidy and the pool is clean too. 100m from pefkos centre up a slight hill there are 20 restaurants snack food bars and a few supermarkets. Only down side to this holiday was the arrival of a certain family and i hope you read this . Holidays are for everyone at the property not just you pal . Your suffering partner deserves more and your children need you to grow up and be a role model the f word shouldnt be used around 4 beautiful children and your drunken behaviour is what your children will accept later in life . Your domestic arguments are pathetic and shouldnt happen anywhere, never mind on holiday ,and your flagrant lack of parenting skills anaze me !!! Take a look in the mirror grow up , treat your partner better and teach your kids to obey rules instead of breaking them 3am swimming without life jackets etc for non swimmers while parents are bladdered etc etc etc because when they are teenagers you will be glad i pointed out how you have let merseyside down , i hope you take this as a wake up call and totally change your childish , selfish attitude and look inside and be a man not a boy !!!!

Lovely clean basic apartments which were a good size. Taz the manager very helpful and food served in bar very nice. Best location in pefkos with a short walk through the apartment complex to st Thomas beach and also plakia beach. The main town of pefkos literally just a few minutes walk away but far enough to avoid too much noise. From our 2nd floor room we could see the twinkly lights in the town and see sun rising and setting at the beach. Loved it here so much coming back in July. Can't wait!!

Excellent place. Nothing at all to complain about.
Stayed here for a week Sep 16th to 22nd. We had room 305 which is at the bottom of the complex and very near the sea and two very nice beaches. This area of the complex is very tranquil and quiet.
As has been pointed out in previous reviews the reception at the Med Bistro is not manned late at night. There are ads for evening meals, etc but I think the current health situation has ruled these out so the bar closes earlier. The directions to your room are placed on an A frame display by the entrance. The room will be unlocked and the key will be there for you.
Wait for the wonderful view on your first morning.
