We had the most beautiful stay here at Barchessa. After spending 1 night in the busy but beautiful, Venice, it was just a short train ride to get into the beautiful Este, where we spent 3 nights. Este is a gorgeous little town and we felt immediately relaxed after arriving at Barchessa. The family who run it were so sweet and welcoming and always happy to help. The apartment had everything we could need and we will definitely be back! Would highly highly recommend.

Very nice reconstructed old building, including furnitures and decorations. A lot of space in the rooms. The accommodation is officially without breakfast, but we have find in the kitchen a basic breakfast set (coffee, tea, biscuits, juice,…). The owner is very friendly, he recommended to us some restaurants.

We have now stayed at the Barchessa on a number of occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed our visit each time. The excellently restored building is located in delightful grounds backing onto the Este castle walls and it is wonderful to wake in the morning with the sun shining through the trees. It was great knowing that the parking and the private grounds were speciifically for our use. The individial self contained apartments are clean and well presented and the hosts are very friendly and helpful.
With easy access to the town of Este, we found the Barchessa extremely well located for visiting other surrounding towns and countryside with Padova, Bologna, and Venice within easy reach.
We will certainly go again.

We stayed for a week at the villa Agriturismo Barchessa in Este. Four families with small children fit nicely in the four apartments of the villa. The common spaces worked out we for evening recaps of the days activities. The administrator was present and friendly, but never intrusive. Location is perfect, right off the main road, but quiet. The castle walls in full view. Nothing better than waking up from a nap and listen to the afternoon bells from the Duomo. Observations: Two apartments have stand up showers and two have bath tubs, wifi works better on the street side apartments. I would recommend this historical property as a home base while exploring around Este.

I've state here twice with family, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. The rooms are not luxury, but are quite comfortable with spacious bathrooms and well-equipped kitchens. The owners are quite warm and attentive, and provided us assistance in securing dinner reservations at some great family-run restaurants that use locally sourced food. Places to eat and shop are within a short walking distance away. Barchessa is not far from Monselice, where you can catch a train for day trips to Venice or Padua, and Verona is a short drive away as well.

If I find myself in this part of Italy again, I wouldn't hesitate to book here again if the same owners are still there.

Unbelievable adventure in a genuine Italian villa. Helpful owner, beautiful interiors, a lot of small, nice surprises e.g. view on the city belfry, old trees in the garden and very interesting library. Definitely worth staying!

This is a great place to stay. Very comfortable. Graziano makes you feel right at home. The room and bathroom was comfortable and clean with plenty of hot water. The location makes it perfect for walking into town and exploring the old city of Este. I would definitely stay here again if or when I return to Este.

Wonderful setting adjacent Este Castle. Excellent accommodation and good helpful hosts. Venice and other medieval towns within reach. The Barchessa has a large private garden exterior and secure parking. I will go again.

This is a great Villa! You stay there and fill like you love it, love it, love it, love it (million times). We stay there for 4 night as a par of our (my wife and I) European holiday Trip. It is a perfect place to make a gathering with our son and his girlfriend as they travelled separately and along different path. The apartment we got is perfect as it has all facilities for 4 people but also could provide more privacy to each person as there are well-designed sliding doors-dividers. Villa is huge-spacious and has beautiful well-preserved historic value too. Nice garden from which you enjoy the view on all castle walls and towers. Lovely trees and flowers. Nice atmosphere for quiet seeping of Proseco or grappa. Laura and Graziano are very nice people with good helpful knowledge of everything regarding Este neighbourhoods, Italy and Europe. We will conme to Villa gain and again.

We stayed here for five nights and really didn't want to leave. It is only a few minutes walk into the town centre, yet so peaceful and quiet. The building itself and the antique furniture all added to the ambience of the place.Loved sitting outside for breakfast in our own parkland beside the castle walls. We didn't even have to worry about buying milk, coffee etc. when we arrived in the evening, as it was already provided.
All three of us found our apartment to be comfy, clean and very well equipped and consider it to be very good value for the price paid. Our host was extremely helpful and kind. This is definitely a place to visit again.
