The location is perfect for exploring Macau on foot. Senado Square is an easy walk away. The views from the upper floors are fantastic. The hotel is huge, yet the service remains personal. The staff are attentive and friendly, including Gary in the lobby, Gladys in the Mistral restaurant (which never disappoints), and Dom and Qing (who anticipate needs before one becomes aware of them oneself) in the housekeeping department. They and their colleagues contribute tremendously to making a stay in the hotel memorable. The best things are on the 6th floor: the Mistral restaurant, where one can dine by the pool; the well-maintained gym, sauna and steam room; and, best of all, the spa. A high-quality spa experience is offered by perceptive and skilled masseuses, of whom I can personally recommend Marifel. The facilities offered by the spa are very comfortable and the treatments are competitively priced. All in all, the hotel offers splendid opportunities for city centre tourism combined with everything needed for an enjoyable and relaxing resort style holiday.

I had always wanted to go to Macau and eventually got there after putting it off for years. I wanted a hotel in the old part of Macau and the Sofitel seemed perfect for the job.
At check-in we were offered a room on the club floor for a reduced cost which we chose. We had a lovely room overlooking the river between Macau and China. Facilities in the room were very good and the bed was fantastic. Pillows were a bit soft so we had to get them changed. Quite a selection on the pillow menu when they were available.
We made use of the Club Floor lounge for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapes which were all very nice. Service was excellent and the array of food and drinks was very good.
Breakfast in the main buffet restaurant was very nice with a huge selection although it did get quite busy even relatively early.
Location was really good, only a five minute walk from the ruins of St. Paul's. There was also a bus stop right outside which we used to get to Coloane.
The bar on the ground floor was really nice with some nice snacks available and the staff were really friendly.
We didn't try the casino as we never really found the time.

Like the worst of idiots I left all my cash in the safe when I checked out. Didn't realize it until half a day later. I called and came back a few days later. They returned every penny. THANK YOU! Will be making a donation on their behalf to a local charity.
Hotel is clean, convenient, and easy to get to. Take the $6, 101x bus from the Zhuhai Bridge to their front door or free Shuttles from the border gate or ferry terminal.
Staff is friendly and welcoming.
I usually ask them to turn down the air conditioning in the room before I get there.as there appears to be no heat available from the system. Several times they have offered to send up a small portable heater if I wanted one so it's not a problem. 5 stars is still an understatement.

I booked my reservation thru agoda, i booked for prestige suite king with club lounge access.
I am glad that i did because the services from the staff and excellent.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were asked to go to club lounge for check in, i just added a little extra to have the Michael Jackson Mansion for us. The front desk did their best to accommodate our request for the specific room. We had to wait for our room to be available but the staff made sure that we are updated on the room status every now and then, we were served with snacks and drinks while waiting. DOREEN and VICTOR from the club lounge were very accommodating, friendly and made sure that we are comfortable and well assisted.

The room was very big, with ktv, living room, jaccuzzi and clean. The only downside is the speakers in the ceiling do not work for some reason.

We went to the club lounge for happy hour. The food was good and the drinks they serve has a lot of varieties.

My husband went to ask for a contreau, although it is not available in the bar, MELSAN went far and beyond expectation that she went to the lobby and provided the drink that my husband was asking. This was beyond our expectation and we are very thankful for that.

This hotel is highly recommended and i would suggest to get the club lounge access. It was worth it.

Kudos to the club lounge staffs!
We are grateful that our experience in the hotel are very satisfying.

Felt very welcomed from the moment we stepped in the property. We were given a complimentary room upgrade with the harbour view, breakfast and SPA vouchers (worth 400MOP) while we were chilling by the pool. The hotel has a great scent, makes you feel calm and relaxed.

Service at the Mistral restaurant was excellent throughout our stay – the staffs were very attentive and helpful. Special thanks to Gladys, Lino, Maria and Lukas! We also had a couple SPA treatment, aromatherapy with facial and body scrub. The room was spacious, it had a jacuzzi and the massage beds had a heating system. Overall it was an amazing SPA experience. Thank you, Ali, and Marifel! Besides, Amelia (EAM of Rooms) would always check in on us whenever she sees us around, made sure our stay was comfortable.

We stayed again the following weekend to celebrate our anniversary. This time it was even more wonderful, we appreciate and love all the special amenities arranged to our room – from strawberries, sparkling champagne, a tower full of sweets and a lovely note. Thank you, Amelia and Mistral Team! We had another fantastic stay. I have shared our experience and recommended family and friends to stay in Sofitel. Housekeepers JC and Don, thank you for arranging the cute animal towels on our bed! They made us smile when we arrived back from dinner. We find it sweet and personal.

Overall, Sofitel gives you that warmth feeling when staying in the property, they recognize you and many times, even remember your name. Thank you all - we will surely keep coming back!

The season is changing and cold weather is approaching. I love the pool at sofitel and its ambiance but its not heated so i need to find ways to warm the body. the pool is good if its sunny and temperature not that low but this time its quite difficult to swim and enjoy. so we decided to just enjoy the fitness facility. the equipments are good and well cleaned after every guest use and the steam and sauna are always on the right temperature. The staff namely eric, niki, eduardo and rodman are very warm and professional in their service. always ready to assist. Hoping the weather will heat up a bit so we could enjoy the pool once again before the winter season.

Love coming back to the Sofitel, rooms are big, breakfast best anywhere in the world. But it is the professional staff that makes this a wonderful visit. Upgrade this visit was really appreciated. Has all the bells and whistles if you want to use them with discounted prices for those who use the services.

A good stay for my first ever trip to Macau which matched my request. I would like to thank all staff for their service and help including Sam and the rest of the team from Concierge. I would also like to thank the Buffet Team for all their effort and making me very welcome on 6th Floor restaurant this includes Gladys, Anjani and James and the rest of the team.

The room is excellent and tidy.
Location is on the old side of Macau with Portuguese history around the corner and original casinos, shops down the road.
Hotel provides free Shuttle Service to Ferry Terminal, which is the meeting point to venture off to other areas of Macau or beyond.

Hope you can change the MJ museum to something else, it has been a while and most tourists are fed up with that already. The dinner buffet appears to be upgraded and I hope you may consider to upgrade the variety of lunchtime buffet too.

I have no further comments.

Hi Natalie, yes. I arrived by ferry from HKIA and when you get off the ferry there are loads of signs directing you to shuttle stops for your hotel. Almost every hotel will have free shuttles and you just need to look for the hotel sign for shuttle. A bit of a walk though along a long cover walkway to get to the little shuttle bus. The Sofitel bus is a purple minibus.

Sorry for my late reply, but just saw today your question. Four Hong Kong ferry terminals serve Hong Kong - Macau ferry routes: HK Macau Ferry Terminal, Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal in Kowloon, Hong Kong International Airport Sky Pier, and Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal. Two ferry terminals are in use in Macao, including Macau Outer Ferry Terminal and Taipa Ferry Terminal. Sofitel provides complimentary shuttle service from the ferry terminals, leaving every 12-15 minutes during the main part of the day. Enjoy the trip!
