Detailed Reviews
We went here with our family, and were looking for some kibbeling. A typical Dutch dish we really enjoy! However we got served the worst kibbeling we ever had. Leading to a lot of stomach complaints later that night for our family.
The glasses were dirty, the service was bad and the kibbeling tasted more like a fish oliebol.

A very quaint hotel in a very pretty area. As we were cycling, I went in to check if we could secure our bikes first before checking in. The manager asked me to wait while he went and served some ladies outside who had just arrived. After waiting a few minutes he came back to me and explained we could park around the back of the hotel but if we weren't happy with that we could bring the bikes inside at the back where they would locked in. We went to the back area which was very open as there was a public car park at the back but as no one showed us where the inside secure area was we decided to secure the bikes outside. We went back in to get our room key. We were shown to our room which although very old fashioned was clean and had everything we needed. There is also an honesty bar if you wanted any drinks or snacks. After showering we went out for a walk to see the local area and decided as the hotel restaurant looked nice we would eat here. Not the case. When I asked for a table, (There was only one table taken) I was told we weren't special and could have dinner there. I am hoping he meant as we hadn't reserved we couldn't eat there. A bit disappointed. We ate elsewhere. Breakfast next morning was continental as expected and was ok. It's a very basic no frills hotel, but bed was comfy and room was clean.

We are on holidays and while retiring to our accommodations, we drove through this quaint village and found this restaurant. Very pleasant owner and a very pleasant new place to eat. Very homely feeling, with a bookshelf in the back. Excellent lunch. Great price. Highly recommended

We've booked the smallest room in that hotel, because we don't need luxurious rooms on holiday. The room was as expected small and a little bit old fashioned, but it was very cheap and we liked it.
The service was very good. We are a pair of one vegan and one vegetarian, what often brings some trouble with the meals. We took anyway a b&b, because you can never know :D
The Woman asked us on the first morning, if we would have any wishes and we told her, that we are vegan. First morning was fresh bread an jam...what is okay for one day. The next morning we found a selection of vegan creams as hummus, a soja-cream and a pea-cream. They also served fresh vegetables and fruits. It was a great start in the day in that combination with that really good bread.
We are very thankful for that service and really enjoyed and loved that place.
If you have humbly expectations for hotel rooms, because you just sleep in them and don't...i don't know live there on holiday, and if you like nice people serving you very kind and friendly,... if you like calm places, nature, beach, and simply enjoy yourself,... come to this place and spend some days in Schoorl. You won't regret!
Thanks for that lovely time and 'till next time:)

Hotel comes with a brasserie. We made the mistake to go there. We waited 1,5 hours for medicore food. Drinks took around 30mins with several reminders. The thing is, it was not even packed. Maybe 1/4 of seats where taken. Honestly do not go there. Do not waste your money and time. This place is a joke.

The hotel room experience was overall disappointing. First, the temperature in the room was uncomfortably high, even with the fan available. This made it difficult to relax comfortably. What was even worse was the lack of privacy due to other guests on the balcony, which diminished the overall atmosphere.
Another major problem was the smell of cooking oil that permeated the room when the kitchen was open. This was definitely not a pleasant smell to have in the room. In addition, the condensation on the inside of the window was an indication that the ventilation was not in order.
All in all it was not a comfortable stay and there were some obvious issues that negatively affected the overall experience.

Upon arrival car parking behind the b&b was very full and looked overdue. Walked in and were told that there was booked for 2 nights while we could only book 1 night and to our knowledge. In it the Owner indicated to iron his heart and we would indeed have 1 night. This was still a nice service. But when we got to see the room the atmosphere changed. In the room there were blood stains on the ceiling and the wall. (May be from crushed mosquitoes) otherwise the room was not clean as stated on the site and Was it musty. On the roof terrace there was a hole in the floor and everything was detailed. When we indicated this at the reception that we did not want to sleep here the Owner joined and claimed that it was all not true. That we did not get our money back because he had already mopped us up with a day. According to him, the room was clean and there were no blood stains. Well, 100% sure it is. He judged when he had seen nothing. The website says that it is spotless. we reported that this was not the case at all with those stains and the dust. Very very sad that the room is not so is already described on the website. And a shame about the direct offensive, reproachful and disbelieving behavior.
Definitely not worth 147,-!
