2 red cards for this Inn:

- 1st red card for the room manager who is unprofessional and very unsympathetic, even very unpleasant towards his staff!
- 2nd red card for eco responsibility which is absolutely not present (about 500/600 plastic cups must be thrown away per day, not counting straws, small spoons, etc...)

The bad points:
The rooms are old.
The bedding is catastrophic
- The food is quantitative, but absolutely not qualitative (despite feeling a real effort in fact, it lacks a real chef to have real flavors...)
-Drinks in the restaurant are served at the table, but they often arrive at the end of the meal...
- The wifi offered works when it wants

Good points:
The staff at the reception is charming, available, attentive and fluent in French.
- The cleaning staff is very nice and the waiters of the restaurant are also for the most part.
The location is perfect, access to the beach via a private trail and proximity to Kos Town.
- The pool is beautiful and clean

In short, lucky that the Lookéa animation team is present to try to make us forget all this...

Tips: If you speak English, avoid the car rentals offered by the hotel, they are double the Award of small rentals located 100m from the hotel!
I recommend Hot Bikes, they are right next door and very nice.

Week from 28 September to 5 October 2024.
Our stay went very well. The only black spot is the beach. Not because of the distance, but because of his condition. This beach is not worthy of a Four Star Pension. It could be improved. Especially with the incessant noise of the generator that powers the " Beach Bar". From 11:00 until 17:00 you have the sound of the engine in your ears. The beach is to flee.
We managed to get room 706, all the way to the path that leads to the beach. The building is on one level facing a pleasant vegetation to look at.
The room was very spacious with a large bathroom.

For meals, there is a choice but you have to like dishes in quite fat sauce. Fortunately, there are always crudités at lunch and at night.
The choice of breads is limited and repetitive.
For me, desserts are too creamy and not enough local specialties.
To put it simply, the different buffets are varied and you will find something to satisfy you. On the other hand, the organization and access to the buffets is to be reviewed because this causes traffic jams and waiting at peak times. Access should be doubled to facilitate the movement of customers.

The All Inclusive is quite honourable. Alcoholic cocktails are quite good and varied.

The staff at this property are very attentive. They bend over backwards to help you and find such a problem solution.
The housekeepers are adorable and always smiling. The same for the people at the reception.

At the SPA you will be pampered and pampered. We gotta go. That's TOP.

The BIG PLUS of the CLUB, obviously its animation team. Even at the end of the season, the animators were in Olympic form. Always smiling and dynamic. Between them, there was real complicity and it was felt. It was wonderful. Animations and shows became a moment of shared laughter and joie de vivre.

We had a great time under a blue sky.

I advise you to discover a beautiful beach at the end of the island of KOS, Paradise Beach. The place is magical because amazing. Of course you have to like the relaxation at the beach to bask in the sun.

The hotel is for French people and you can communicate in this language without any problems. However, English is an obstacle to communication because the staff knows the language poorly. Unless you know Greek then everything becomes simple. The arrival itself was the first failure, the plane was delayed so we got to the hotel with a huge group of French people, the queue was outside the hotel, but check-in went smoothly. Unfortunately, we could forget about any meal, we were given something like provisions that were not very edible. We have often stayed late in hotels in many places around the world and there was always some food waiting for tourists - just not here. Breakfast was poor, not very Greek, no small spoons for tea or yogurt. There are only plastic ones for ice cream and you can use those. There is noise from the speakers at the pool... so if you want a bit of peace and quiet, choose places further away from the pool and the loudspeakers. There are enough sunbeds for everyone. It was clean and the lady came to clean it right away the next day. The hotel has a maximum of 3 stars and that's far-fetched. It's a long way to 4 stars. Everyone is focused on the French and even the messages are in this language, and if anyone remembers, they will say it in English. This is not our first time in Greece or on the island of Kos... but we will definitely not come here again.

We spent a good week at the Sun Palace despite some inconveniences we had to overcome.
Indeed, among them is the food that was not at the level of a 4 star despite waiters with little care for customers.
We were particularly disappointed with our “Three Island Cruise” excursion, very little time on the islands.
The boat was not suitable for 180 people, we had very little room to settle.
At lunch we had 15 minutes of free neighborhood by quickly finishing our meal but the time to reach the boat the 15 minutes were already up. (Kalymnos Island)
An explanation about the sponges in the museum that we would have liked to hear but heard nothing about due to overcrowding in the place.
It is very unpleasant not to take full advantage of this visit. A microphone could have been provided as for the animations on the boat for example.
To continue with the island of Pserimos, very pretty but with the arrival of two boats of 180 people, we really struggled to find a place to sit. Arrival on a small island with such a large number is overtourism.
We were really disappointed with this excursion. When discussing with other club members, the reviews are similar. Word of mouth is quick because the same evening of this excursion, other people told us they were not recommended on this type of excursion rather gas plant than discovery of the islands.

To conclude with a positive touch, the staff is friendly, the Pension is clean, the refreshing drink on the beach is really nice as well as the beach beds and deckchairs.

My review indicates that the Pension has many aspects that require improvement to live up to its 4 star rating. The following is a summary of my observations:

Infrastructure: The Inn is classic in style, but the structures show signs of aging and maintenance is poor. Elevators, in particular, are old, not safe and do not always work properly, which is a problem for people with reduced mobility.
Swimming pool and green spaces: The pool is nice for swimming, but the green areas are poorly maintained and littered with garbage, with no apparent daily cleaning.
Bar and all inclusive services: Although the bar is accessible, it does not offer all drinks, even on an all-inclusive basis. For example, it is surprising that bottled water costs money.
Restoration: Meals are substandard, far from being worthy of a great chef, and tend towards mediocrity.
Chambers: The rooms are spacious and pleasant. However, the television offer is limited, with few French-language channels, which is disappointing.

The description of the bathroom highlights elements that could be perceived as outdated and impractical:

Faucet: Bathroom amenities are old and date from the 70s, which gives an old-fashioned look to the whole.
Shower/Bathtub: The bath also serves as a shower, but with only a simple shower curtain. This curtain sticks to the body when hot water flows, which can be unpleasant and unhygienic.
These additional details reinforce the overall Impression that the Inn is not up to the standard of modernity and comfort expected of a 4-star property. Updating the bathroom facilities would certainly improve the guest experience.

Staff: The welcome is professional, but the rest of the staff would require significant improvement to meet the standards of a 4-star Inn.

Continued:

Quality of Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi is of poor quality, with very low speed, making it difficult to use.
Wi-Fi range: Wi-Fi is not available throughout the Pension, including in public areas such as the swimming pool.
These points suggest that the Pension's network infrastructure requires improvements to meet guests' needs, especially in an increasingly connected world. Reliable and accessible Wi-Fi throughout the Inn is often expected, especially in a 4-star property.

In summary, although the reception and rooms are satisfactory, other aspects such as infrastructure, cleanliness, quality of meals and services require corrections to be in line with the expectations of a Pension in this category. I forgot that in this summer period the place is full of mosquitoes. Remember to protect yourself.

I am currently at the sun palace kos unfortunately the Pension is not even worthy of a 3 star. It's like a poor campsite.
The rooms are obsolete, musty bathroom, catastrophic bedding landfill view. Cleaning is done only once in 3!
Small noisy pool not very clean , the deckchairs are so old that we can feel the frames coming back to us.
The buffet room atmosphere year 2000 , not pleasant the food is correct but there is very little choice and at 9pm there is nothing to eat and we are pushed towards the exit.
The common areas and furniture date from the 90s and the elevator is broken down several times a day!

The beach is far away , you have to follow a path in full sun it is complicated and when you finally arrive disappointment! The beach is not beautiful full of pebbles. Still it would be necessary to make it cozy as a real private beach instead of that dirty and old deckchair. Too bad.
We met several other holidaymakers who are all of the same review as me. We're disgusted that we paid so much for these qualities of service and this rundown Pension. Run away! Really! I travel a lot and it's one of the most expensive and worst I've ever done! Thank you tui! Holiday ruined.

We had a great stay in Kos at the Sun Palace. Friendly, family hotel, with a super manager who is very dedicated and does not hesitate to help the catering service. The satisfaction of his vacationers is essential to him. The maître d' and the bartenders were very attentive. Varied and quality meals, cooked with vegetables and fruits from the nearby vegetable garden. Cocktails made with mixed fresh fruit, a delight. Great entertainers. We had an unforgettable July 14th, with a fireworks display above the swimming pool, a surprise offered by the Management. No difficulty in obtaining a deckchair, there are enough for everyone. The beach is sandy and pebble for swimming, so bring slippers. Access in 10 minutes by path. Deckchairs and beds with parasols are installed there. We highly recommend this hotel.

We spent two weeks at the Sun Palace. Inn well located, bus exit to go to Kos (4 kms).

Were greeted on arrival by a very pleasant receptionist who knew how to advise us throughout our stay.

The rooms are air conditioned, very comfortable and clean, cleaned every day. Eco-sensitive direction (hanging towel = no change).

Infrastructure level, a large pool lined with sunbeds with umbrellas, right next to the bar. The day is punctuated by the animation team who are really on top, never they stop, what energy! The bartender is super friendly also and made us great cocktails, thank you.

The restaurant: diversified food, drinks are served at the table. Not too much waiting and attentive staff.
Greek restaurant: we tested it the first week, did not renew the second.

It is also without counting on Anastasia, the director we see from morning to night, always smiling and close to her staff. She prepares cocktails in the morning and does not hesitate to give her time, she is omnipresent and very accessible. Thanks.

Only downside, the elevator often broke down and the beach that deserves some amenities.

Inn that I will recommend with my eyes closed and where I will gladly return.

Stayed here for 2 nights. I was late arriving the first night and I messaged ahead and they left a meal for me in my room which it thought was a very nice touch. The rooms are nice and clean. Pool area is lovely. But the standout point for me was the food. As an all inclusive it can be hit or miss but the food and wine was amazing. All the staff were nice and friendly and generally a great atmosphere in the hotel. A lot of french tourists there and the entertainment was catered towards french speaking people, a bit tacky but good fun all the same. When leaving the reception were very helpful with taxis. It's a great place would definitely recommend and very good value for money.

Second time for me in Kos but not in the same hotel and I am very disappointed… The accessible swimming pool in front of the restaurant with a bar, be careful of the water which is cold when you enter the water and the deckchairs ouch the back. The restaurant is not very good, there are very few varieties of dishes (for picky people it's really complicated) there are only 2 varieties of meat each time, I have never seen once a pizza, hamburger, ham or others… the afternoon snack which is really average you only find pancakes having already made other hotels in general there is much more choice…
The very pretty room is very clean, cleaned every day, nothing to say but the bed is horrible, incredible back pain… which is a real shame for a week of vacation. A pebble beach which is located a little far from the hotel with the deckchairs in poor condition.. Around the hotel, nothing, no shops! Except 1 small super market to help out but nothing very interesting and what's more they are very unpleasant, you have to take the bus to go to the city center of Kos. I booked the Sun Palace because it was supposedly family with the Zorbas Beach which I had already done but there is no resemblance with the 2, the Zorbas Beach much better than the Sun Palace. Fortunately there was nothing to say about the swimming pool and the room was very pretty because otherwise I wouldn't have lasted 1 week..
