We had a family break here and benefitted from great weather. The hotel was well presented in the common areas but our room was on the same level as the underground car park and to get there was a walk through a dark exhaust fume smelling walkway. Horrid! The 2 bedroom suite smelled of blocked drains and the pool was on the edge of a busy road with no privacy from passing cars. All in all very overpriced

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at Baobab Suites during October half term for five nights Monday to Saturday. This is our fourth visit to Tenerife as a family (we have two girls 7 and 10) and while Baobab is the most expensive accommodation we've booked on the island it's also definitely the best. We booked Baobab because we stayed in a villa last year and really enjoyed the extra space and privacy it provided, but wanted to spend less time cleaning up after our kids. The Baobab housekeeping team came every day thankfully and did an excellent job on that front. The room comes with a nice demi bottle of local wine and a sample of chocolate on arrival plus a welcome drink voucher to be used in the bar. The offer for a free massage in the wellness suite is something you need to watch out for however as we missed out on this as it’s only valid for 48 hours after arrival. The reception staff were excellent - from a swift check in to arranging taxi's to blowing up pool inflatables nothing was ever a problem for them, when we had an issue during our stay it was dealt with swiftly and professionally by everyone involved. The rooms (we were moved due to aforementioned issue) are quite variable even within the same room type. We booked a Serenity Rio two bedroom and based on what we've seen it's definitely worth asking about the positioning of the room within the hotel as the rooms are grouped into sections with each section having its own benefits/drawbacks so if you can, ask questions and find out more when you arrive. We were moved from Alterra over to Montemar which is a little further away from reception but a much better room overall. The rooms themselves are modern, bright and spacious. The beds are very comfortable and offer an excellent night’s sleep. The air conditioning keeps the indoor temperature comfortable and the remote control awning is really useful, meaning you can change how much shade you get outside at different times of the day. The outside areas are where we saw the biggest difference between the two rooms, with the room in Alterra being directly opposite the main pool while the Montemar room offered better views and more privacy. On both you get an area to dine outside which we used every day and a private pool which was a good size for the four of us to play around in. We picked up some inflatables from a supermarket not far from playa fanabe and the reception team had them inflated and delivered to our room. The kitchen is well stocked for self catering, we made a few meals and found everything we needed was available – lots of pots, pans cutlery etc. The dishwashers come with a few tablets already provided and they were replenished daily by housekeeping. On the one occasion we did run out we asked reception for more via WhatsApp and they quickly had them sent to the room. The coffee machine works on pods which get replenished daily, the machine worked perfectly during our stay. It’s worth checking the pods after they are replenished as you do seem to get different flavours and strengths - one day we were given decaff so had to ask for a restock. There is also a kettle provided, but you’ll need to find it as in both rooms it was stored away in the cupboards. The bathrooms especially in Montemar were perfect – clean, well equipped and offered everything you’d expect. We chose to have the breakfast boxes delivered to our room most days because when ordering for four (2 adults, 2 kids) there was generally enough left over for a decent lunch. The adult boxes contain pastries, breads, juices, fruit, jams, butter a yoghurt and granola pot plus a mixture of other things including meats and cheeses. The food was tasty, local, fresh and there was always plenty left! The breakfast buffet on the two occasions we did give it a go felt a little crowded and we ended up waiting a long time for coffees - I went to use the self service coffee machine and found it had been turned off even though it was hours until the end of service. We found the hotel grounds to be a peaceful and relaxing place to spend our holiday, aside from the fairly busy breakfast service there was never a moment where you felt like you were in a building with lots of other guests. The hotel is well located with both Fanabe and Duque beaches nearby and there are plenty of options for shopping and dining. We only ventured out a couple of times because we genuinely loved the vibe inside the hotel, it’s worth saying that the hotel is located on a hill so the free taxi service to Duque beach and shops is very useful, we found the voucher system easy enough to use and on all bar one occasion finding a return taxi to take us back up the hill was quick and easy. On the one occasion we couldn’t find a taxi a WhatsApp message to reception got one quickly sent over to us. Note the free service is available until 5pm. The kids club is totally free and you don’t need to make a reservation it’s simply a case of turning up during the hours it’s open (1030-1300 & 1400-1730). The kids club staff were friendly, professional and most importantly great with our kids. There were no more than six or seven other children in the kids club at any time when our kids were there. The kids club faces into the hotel and has a large glass entrance so you can see inside - walking past every day I noticed that it never seemed busy and this was during our school’s half term holiday. The kids really enjoyed the time they spent in the kids club and a few of the things they made with Delia and Gloria have been brought home as keepsakes from the holiday. Each room has it’s own wifi connection and the speed was good enough for streaming tv shows etc and the hotel has it’s own site that you can access once connected which we found very useful it has guides on just about everything to do with the hotel including a full manual for the room. The Fusion restaurant over the road in the activate sports club was sadly getting refurbished during our stay which is a shame as this was the place we were looking forward to visiting. We wanted a more casual experience when eating with kids. We did have dinner in the BB Lounge on the Friday night and stayed for around 2.5 hours – it’s a really nice setting for a meal and was pretty quiet for a weekend evening. Friendly and attentive service throughout and felt the meal overall was good quality for the price. We did struggle to select something from the evening menu it’s a little limited if you’re not into that style of cooking, but with a little help from our waiter we picked out a very enjoyable meal. If you want a relaxing stay somewhere that has all of the facilities of a modern hotel but also offers the space and commodities you get when renting a villa then Baobab Suites is an excellent option and one we’d definitely recommend.

My family of 5 (3 boys) stayed for 7 nights in February 2024 at Hotel Baobab Suits in villa 201 - What can I say?? WOWWWW This was the BEST villa accomodations EVER! Breakfast was amazing, service was top notch (calling free shuttles for us 24/7 within a few KLM radius), helping us book excursions, if anything was missing or broken, they would attend to us within MINUTES - I really experienced true 5 star luxury for a whole week with my rambunctious loud family from NYC. I really recommend this hotel. Location is pretty good - 15 minute walk to el Duque and Fanabe beaches - very clean property, children's club, delicious drinks/bar/food, free bootled water delivered to your room daily and a washer/dryer which was PERFECT! Thank you Hotel Baobab!! :)

Fantastic experience. Our suite was really spacious and well equipped, everything you could possibly need. The suites are to a high standard and cleaned every day, our garden was huge and great for the kids. The breakfast was superb, highly recommend having this in the al La carte restaurant. We also had dinner there one night and again it was very good. The staff were great and really knowledgeable. We used the gym across the road, really well equipped, the paddle courts are worth a go.

We stayed in a 1 bed with jacuzzi. Cannot fault anything about the hotel and would have no hesitation in recommending, Staff were brilliant and nothing was a problem, there was a great choice for breakfast, hotel was spotlessly clean and overall one of the best holidays we have had in Tenerife and rebooked again for next year.

This is our 4th stay at the Baobab and we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We were in a one bedroom suite with a fantastic view over the resort. The cleaning staff are amazing which is great. We enjoyed breakfast in Bite every day and it was fantastic. There was something for everyone with a great variety of delicious foods. It was never frantic and the staff were so helpful and efficient. In fact all the staff are a real asset to the company. We ate in the new restaurant Kar Bon which was lovely and enjoyed a few nightcaps in the BB lounge. It is set on a rather steep hill but the views are worth the climb. Taxi’s are very cheap. The only feedback that I would have is that some of the furniture is getting a bit tired. However, we will be back as it is an excellent establishment.

We stayed in divinity lago with whirlpool which was out of this world very modern and very clean. There was an oven/microwave which was a bit tricky at first but managed eventually. You do not need to take a lot of clothes as there is a washing machine and clothes dryer in balcony. Mini market downhill 10 min walk but take your own supermarket bags from home to carry any heavy stuff. Free taxi to beach and back from hotel but we found it difficult to get one to come back so we walked back a few times, 1/2 hr walk. We had breakfast boxes most of the time which you order through hotel qr code. 1 box per person to order. Cleaners were fab and very friendly. Fresh water each day to your room. We loved it, very relaxed and very warm. Will be back best suite with the best views ever

The very best accommodation we have ever stayed in - huge one bedroom apartment with absolutely everything you could have needed. Lovely pool and hot tub on our large patio space with sun beds / sofa and outside dining table. Great sea view. So much storage / hanging space. Great shower. Housekeeping were very good and cheery. Lovely quiet location and we appreciated the walk into La Caleta / Costa Adeje as so much lovely food on offer. Loved the breakfast boxes served to your room - great selection of goodies. Visited breakfast buffet twice - first visit was abit hectic as not enough team to cope with numbers which made them abit abrupt - no good morning/ offer of tea /coffee etc - very much left to it. Second attempt totally different experience- clearly fully staffed. Buffet selection again great. Bb lounge - team lovely / food very good and view - especially in the evening - breathtaking. The active centre great facilities. Kabon restaurant also worth a visit. All in all loved it !

My wife and I have just spent seven nights here unfortunately under circumstances which are not the norm. After a fall my wife was hospitalized and after her discharge we spent a week at Baobab Suites awaiting our return to the Isle Of Man. Although we could not take advantage of all the facilities on offer,it is somewhere I would love to return in the future. The rooms are fantastic, some with their own pool and jacuzzi. Every member of staff that we encountered throughout the hotel were pleasant, polite, and attentive and a credit to the management. Special mention must go to Billy and Nathan who went out of their way to assist us through a stressful period and their help was greatly appreciated. In conclusion we would not hesitate to reccomend Baobab Suites as a place to stay if you want somewhere with the wow factor
