Positives are a great breakfast, friendly staff and spacious rooms. Downsides are the fact that the upper pool is”exclusive” to certain all inclusive holidaymakers - I couldn’t understand which. This meant the pool outside our room wasn’t available to us. A fact we only found out after 3 days, so it was a trek down to the lower pool thereafter. The hotel is also extremely noisy. As well as the never welcome Brit lads singing football songs in the next room, our rooms were above the kitchen - meaning loud clattering and kitchen equipment from 5am until 1am, plus a loud extractor fan outside the room itself, pumping food smells onto drying towels. No question of sitting on the balcony. It was a good base for exploring the island but I would say it’s punching for 4 stars and will be feeding back to Jet2 about making the exclusivity for pools clearer in their literature, too.

Hotel's Favourite
Well where do I begin, I will start with what my family & I had difficulty with but managed to adapt our holiday, not all families would be in a position to do this however therefore worthy of constructive criticism also, after listening to fellow holidaymakers moaning about the same thing. The food in the main restaurant lunchtimes & evenings is not geared up for plain eaters/children etc, my entire family struggled everyday to find something to eat other than chips, my 15 year old is a very plain eater chicken nuggets, pizza etc. Whilst the hotel has only been reopen due to Covid since April, it is understandable that it is of course set up for Spanish clients as the UK tourism has only recently over the last 2 months properly opened again allowing us to visit (Hence why my review stated constructive criticism). We adapted by visiting the poolbar/restaurant which for all inclusive guests is available from 4-6pm, I would simply ask you consider opening this up full stop to all inclusive clients as the menu/food down there was exceptional. I cannot understand why you restrict this with a time slot, this is the reason my title is "Almost Perfect". We ate out the majority of our 2 weeks to support the local businesses in Costa Adeje and had some truly fabulous meals, this was our intention from the outset to help the Spanish economy. NOW the BEST BITS, Hotel immaculate, Spotlessly clean, efficient, welcoming friendly staff, Covid safer than the UK, temperature checked when re-entering. "The Level Service & Benefits" Personal Check In, Private breakfast, full buffet, juice, tea/coffee, cakes, menu to include Poached eggs, Eggs Benedict, pancakes & literally everything to could imagine cooked to order, Private Pool area OUTSTANDING. Full fridges with beers, fresh juices, fizzy drinks, water & at Tapas Time (5-30-6-30) a full bar of spirits all branded and certainly no rubbish. Staff down there Anna, Carolyn, Yeray, Estefania, their attention to detail & professionalism was outstanding indeed. I needed numerous documents printed in resort for various matters & the welcoming manner in which my request was greeted is something I have never experienced at all, not a single thing was a trouble to any of the people and you all should be proud of the way in which you take pride in your jobs, deliver a service that is OUTSTANDING. A couple of others to mention Johann & Lisbet in the bar upstairs & Toni the photographer from the "Say Cheese" desk what a lovely personable guy as well as Alexander the Lifeguard. Finally the overall outstanding star of the entire show goes to "RAMON" The Level Pool Waiter, you will remember my drinks Ramon, 2 Beers with Sprite!!!!!, I cannot thank you enough for the way in which you made this holiday for my entire family the most relaxing, enjoyable & one for us all to remember thanks to you!. It is people that Ramon that make you smile and realize sometimes the important things in life, his main priority for our 2 weeks was to make sure we did as little as possible, believe you and me that was exactly the case, I only remembering going to get my own drink on your days off!!!. From the Foster Family rooms, 814 (2 Weeks) & 817 (1 Week) I would like to offer my sincere thanks from my entire family, I wish you all a very successful 2021 as well as the future.

Just returned from a week half board with a 5 and 7 year old, I’ll start with my constructive Criticism as I feel it could be helpful to those with young children, The swimming pool- The pool is massive and despite the hotel being busy not once did we have a problem with getting 4 sun loungers between 10-11am every day. It’s not a place where everyone’s laid a towel down at 6am and then disappeared for the day to there convenience there were always beds free which was perfect, the only problem was the dept of the pool, the pool is massive which is great but even adults were unable to touch the floor, in fact there wasn’t an adult there that could, so for the first couple of days we were limited to the kids pool which can get overcrowded and frustrating for the children, after a few days of the children getting more confident with the water we were able to get a sun lounge right in front of the big pool and with life jackets or a noodle they were able to go in there all day by themselves. The other concerning thing was that the life guard is not on pool watch frequently he was usually on towel duty in which he is unable to see 3/4 of the pool and with the dept that was quite concerning to me! One life guard who is on towel duty didn’t seem sufficient for the pool dept. There was one day out the 7 where they reduced the pool water and everyone commented on how much better it was. Just not the best if you aren’t a confident swimmer like myself. The other problem is I took inflatables with me and unless it’s bought within the hotel they don’t allow you to have your own, the ones I took were the same size as the ones they sold yet the life guard said they were too big. Not too much of a problem, as many guests leave rings behind and they get recycled onto the future guests for free so we had inflatables which were put to great use! The next issue was I went half board, and I lost my purse the day before I flew out (massively inconvenient) so I explained to the reception upon check in and they explained I could pay cash and set up a balance and when the balance ran out we wouldn’t be able to buy anymore drinks and would go and top it up- this worked perfectly (so I thought) in being able to keep track of what was being spent. So when the money ran out I was unable to buy a drink and I went to reception where I confirmed with two members of staff there was no outstanding balance and then topped up. However the next day upon check out I was left with a hefty bill and we had only had 2 bottles of water, two ice creams and a glass of wine, I was told it was mistake and then the manager was insistent it wasn’t a mistake and had to be paid. So when I checked the bill I was pretty thrown back by the cost of drinks, and in total for a weeks stay half board we were charged over £400 just in ice cream, water and drinks with dinner. Two alcoholic drinks- Malibu and coke, and Bacardi and soda water was 19€. It was quite frustrating that when we arrived we were told water cans were included with dinner when half board but in fact they were not so just in water we spent a small fortune! Also it’s worth noting if you are all inclusive the ice cream in the hotel is branded and not included. Entertainment. The entertainment was great and the children loved it, the children entertainment team are amazing so so great with all the children the English is great and they work hard all day every day from day time activities to being straight in the pool and then going again in the evening with a range of different games and acts like acrobatics and discos, however my only criticism was there was a clown act which was a very bizarre show and was more of a Michael Jackson impersonator than a clown and the children were quite confused by it when they were expecting a traditional clown and instead it was guy dressed and Micheal Jackson singing songs most 5 year olds hadn’t heard. But none the less it was great and my only criticism was how late it started and ended some nights it didn’t end until 11pm and the children were exhausted as were we. Those were my only minor issues at the hotel, My girls had the best time at this lovely hotel, most days they had a water rug in the big pool, the kids club is next to the childrens pool in shade and includes a range of craft activities which was perfect to keep them out the sun for a couple hours a day without feeling as though they were being dumped in a room out of sight, they encouraged adults to get involved also and had many families activities which was lovely we made some lovely things together and when i felt like relaxing I could still see them and they could come over as and when they pleased. I saw reviews about it not being great for plain eaters but daughter ate plain spaghetti and plain fish every night there was sushi night, tacos night and also such a variety that I don’t know how anyone could complain because genuinely there was plain meat chips and plain pasta every single night. There was only one night of chicken which was a tad annoying as I only eat chicken and fish and a lot of the fish was boned so that limited me but I just made alternative choices as there was so much too choose from and definitely not the same food most nights but then again I think if it was a 2 week stay I’d of eaten out just to mix it up abit. Dinner is until 10pm which was great and inside or outdoor seating choices was lovely the views are amazing from outdoor dining, the hotel is very clean the staff were very friendly. And the only other thing with young children is with the hotel being on a hill we took a trip downhill to the beach and in the heat it is a long walk back up to the hotel so we got a taxi there is also a market at the bottom of the hill on the right in a car park on a Saturday where my children and many others got hair braids which they all loved! We were also on a late flight which meant we didn’t need to leave the hotel until 5pm and check out is 12, they very kindly offer you a complimentary room to shower after a day at the pool to get ready to travel home we were offered it for an hour and it was highly appreciated as free of charge! Would definitely return again to hotel!

This was the 1st time taking my son abroad, we had read all the reviews and I'm so very glad we chose this hotel. Beautiful views from the different terraces at the Blue Lounge and Mosaico restaurant. The Breakfast was the best meal in the main restaurant and lunch was best in the pool bar as freshly cooked to order. Drinks were good at all bars, cocktails very pleasant. The hotel was very clean and tidy, we noticed that despite the number of guests it was a very peaceful place even by the pool with lots of kids. Thoroughly enjoyed by all and would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely come again.

Just back from a 7 night all inclusive stay with the wife and 2 kids (6 and 8 years old). Absolutely loved it, and would go back again in a heartbeat. Our last holiday was 2019, kids were younger and stayed at a Holiday Village, which was quite full on. Have to say, this time round we had the absolute perfect, chilled, holiday, and big part of it was the hotel itself. ROOMS:- Room was decent, and quite spacious. Large shower and double sink bathrooms. No self catering facilities (not sure if the hotel has rooms like this?), however it did have a fridge/kettle. Rooms were cleaned daily by the maids and left fresh towels. They even left a couple Kit-Kats for the kids which was a nice touch! One minor complaint about the rooms is the walls seem a bit thin. After a couple nights, a family with a baby moved into the room next door. The baby would routinely wake up a couple times crying in the night, which then woke me and my wife. Not the baby’s fault obviously, but this is literally the only fault I could find with the hotel. FOOD:- Been all inclusive previously at other hotels where meals feel like you’re eating at a canteen, however, here it was actually quite good. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the restaurant which has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area is superb. Sea view as you eat your meal at sunrise/sunset which is amazing. I’d say the food was better than average, we ate 6 out of the 7 nights here. Good selection of food, generally different meats freshly cooked every night along with / fish / pasta / pizza etc. The pool bar also serves lunch (pizza/burgers/hot dogs etc). Breakfast is also served at the pool bar, where the time is extended a bit too, which is great when you have a lie in! ENTERTAINMENT:- The entertainment really surprised me. There is a kids club during the day - there are morning and afternoon activities, art and craft type things mainly, and one or two sporty things. The activities are generally done at an area near the pool side. My girls thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s not like Holiday Village where you dump your kids in a room and leave them. They’re in view while you sit and relax by the pool. The kids club staff were also really good! At night in the pool bar, there is a children’s disco for about 45 minutes followed by an entertainer for an hour, which is different every night (magician, balloon man, acrobats, clown, etc). All acts were aimed at the kids, but some of them were actually pretty decent to be fair. There is also a lounge bar which has an outdoor terrace. There is a singer most nights. There is also a large TV, and noticed they had a Premier League game on one day. POOL AREA / GYM:- The pool area was great and not once did we have to fight for a sun bed - another bonus!!! There was plenty space. You are given tokens by reception, which you give to the lifeguard in exchange for towels so no need for any beach towels. There was one large pool and a baby pool. Be warned the big pool is deep, I’m 6ft 1 and the shallowest it got was just below shoulder/head height for me. The gym was pretty decent too, couple dumbbells, Smith machine, shoulder press, leg press and pull down machines. Enough there to keep you occupied. LOCATION:- The hotel is at the top of a hill, which with two children (who refuse to walk the length of themselves!) was a bit of a chore to walk up. However, we later discovered there is a rear entry at the pool area which saved the long walk to reception. The hotel seems as it’s though it’s in a quieter area (which was ideal for us). However, Plaza del Duque is a short walk away, as is the beach. The hotel is far enough away from all the noise of bars/restaurants etc but close enough to walk to. The Siam Park bus stop is also only a few minutes walk away too. Overall - absolutely no complaints at all about this hotel. Perfect for our family holiday!! If given the option, we’d definitely be back!!

A week away in Adeje and this is the most perfect place to stay. Great location for shops and local bars and restaurants. Rooms were clean and spacious, we opted for the sea view and we were not disappointed. The pool area was great and we weren’t with any kids but if you are a family then this hotel is great with the amount things put on for kids to do. The staff were always friendly and welcoming. Cannot recommend this place enough.

The hotel is lovely and clean, staff v helpful, pools good and plenty of sunbeds. We were b&b, ate our evening meal in the hotel one night (buffet style) and found it overpriced (2 adult, 2 kids, 4 soft drinks was 84€). As a comparison we spent 90€ at a restaurant in the del duque shops - this included 4 starters and 4 mains and sangria. We thought the hotel buffet would’ve given lots of choice for the fussy eating kids but it didn’t and they left hungry. Lots of the mains looked less than appetising, the taco shells were completely stale too. This is the reason for 4 and not 5* I don’t think I’d stay here again due to the walking distance and hill from the beaches/resorts. I’d prefer to be more central. We also weren’t all inclusive and I thought drinks were pricey. 9€ for a small and large beer.

Stayed for 1 week all inclusive. Would not agree with the 5* rating, I’d give it 3* at most. Hotel does look lovely upon arrival especially reception area. Not sure about all the reviews saying how clean their rooms are. Ours were certainly not clean, don’t think the floor was even cleaned before we arrived. Thankfully were provided slippers, which even by the end of day 1 the soles were black. Think the rooms could do with a deep clean & possible re painted as there were marks all over the walls. Food in the main restaurant was quite bland, I’m not a fussy eater but even I found it hard to find something edible. Id have to say the breakfast was the best meal in the main restaurant. Thank goodness for the pool bar, the food there was a lot nicer however did end up eating the same thing a lot as there were only certain foods for all inclusive customers. Don’t know how kids would manage with the food in the all inclusive restaurant, don’t think young kids are catered for at all. Probably the best thing about this hotel is the staff, most are very friendly and could have a laugh with them. Also no issues getting sunbeds unlike other hotels and surprised that pool towels were provided. Probably wouldn’t go back to this hotel as it does seem to be on the outskirts which is walkable into the centre but if you want to get a taxi back it can be quite hard to get one & a long wait at the taxi ranks, especially at night.

My family and I have just returned from the Melia Jardines hotel. Upon first arrival the hotel is breathtaking with beautiful views and impeccable grounds. Reception staff were helpful and check-in was a seamless procedure. We opted for a deluxe family suite with sea view and terrace. The room was spotlessly clean. This high standard was maintained throughout our stay, with great thanks to the house keeping team. The rooms are provided with a safe, mini fridge and rituals toiletries. The pool. Visually the pool is lovely however, there are no shallow areas. Fortunately for us we are all strong swimmers so the depth of up to 1.8m was manageable but it was evident some families were struggling. The fun police were out every day and the inconsistency in rules frustrated many guests. Inflatables such as lilos or beach balls are not permitted however, rings are. With this in mind I purchased a unicorn ring for my daughter. The ring was of medium size and no bigger than any other in the pool, but due to the unicorn having a head it was not allowed. This was upsetting for my daughter who was excited to use her new inflatable. To get around this we deflated the head which seemed ridiculous but the ring was now deemed acceptable for the pool. The food We opted for the half board option and had a quote of over 600euros to upgrade to all inclusive. I’m relieved we didn’t take up that option. Breakfast was the best meal of the day with a lot of choice, from sausages to churros, omelettes to yoghurts. Unfortunately, the quality of the food depreciated from here on in. With being half board you had the flexibility of choosing lunch or dinner however, both were inadequate of a 4/5* resort which resulted in us eating out many times during our holiday. If I was to return I would opt for the bed and breakfast and venture out. We enjoyed a delicious meal in costa adeje in a restaurant called babbo and an Italian called Bianco in Los Cristianos. As we were half board drinks are not provided. Cocktails are around 12 euros each which is a fair price to pay if the cocktail is properly made and enjoyable. During “busy” periods the bar is unable to mix such drinks and the resemblance of a slushie Is what you are given. A glass of sprite with a sprig of mint was not what We would warrant a mocktail. We complained as 30euros for 2 cocktails and a mocktail was unacceptable. The 24hour shop (3minute walk away) provided our beverages and we enjoyed sitting out on the terrace with a bottle of wine or glass of shop bought sangria. Checkout We had an evening flight back home so requested a late check out in advance. This was not possible but the hotel provided us with a room for 30 minutes to shower and freshen up before our transfer to the airport. This was helpful however, the room was double booked with a family of 5. This was swiftly resolved and we were given a room in the Level area of the hotel to freshen up. I had been intrigued to nosey at the Level area and can honestly say it does not appear to be worth the extra price. The amenities in the room are no better if not shabbier (e.g. old style phone) than the main hotel. Overall, we had a lovely holiday in Tenerife. The hotel on the whole was good with many positives but not the standard of a 4/5* resort.

I have just arrived home from a fabulous 10 days at this hotel. I don’t think you could get a hotel with better views than this hotel! They are truly amazing and something I enjoyed looking at each morning and night. The food was great, we were half board and really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner each night. There was a great show for the kids each night and all the staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. Our room was a Deluxe Sea View, it was perfect and couldn’t have asked for more. I would 100 percent recommend this hotel, any family would love it and not want to come home!
