Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Iberostar Selection Llaut Palma garners praise for its service, described as friendly and professional, although some guests have encountered inconsistencies. The modern decor and comfortable ambiance contribute to the hotel's atmosphere, but opinions on its overall vibe vary. High marks are given to amenities like the delectable breakfast and spa, with its convenient beach proximity being a highlight. Despite this, some reviewers question the value, pointing to steep prices.
The location is great for beachgoers and nightlife enthusiasts but may be too lively for those seeking peace. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with immaculate rooms and public areas. While rooms are noted for their space and views, issues with room service and air conditioning have been reported.

Detailed Reviews
Stayed here 3 weeks in January. Staff were always nice, friendly and proactively helpful. Food (buffet) was consistently very good and varied, drinks very reasonable. The area around the hotel is a bit seedy (the authorities are slowly changing this), so car very desirable (although best way to Palma is still with local bus.) The hotel is light and airy and welcoming, although 5 star status is strictly Spanish. You feel good here, I would come back.
Only thing, whoever designed the rooms came straight out of a lunatic asylum. You get used to them, but they're wacky. There's basically no closed bathroom/wash-basin area, it's open and part of the bedroom (although large WC and large shower are individually enclosed). For couples who don't know each other too well this could be a little embarrassing. If you forget to take a towel into the shower room you'll get cold coming out. The WC has a bidet, but no wash-basin. The soap dispenser is not next to the wash-basin. You need 2 hands to open the drawers (no handles). There are light switches everywhere, but as far as I know, no single switch to turn all off when you leave the room. After a couple of days you get in the routine, but until then you go slightly nuts.

Stayed here 3 nights in February with a group of friends.
We were warmly welcome and offered lunch while the staff arranged our rooms.
Staff were always helpful & friendly Georgio was a top waiter and also the guy with the ponytail whos name I cant remember (sorry) but overall a great team of staff!. The deal was fully inclusive, free flow drinks included from Cocktails to Cava
Also free minibar in your room.
The area around the hotel is a bit grotty so car,bus or taxi to Palma is required
The hotel is light and airy and welcoming, and very clean, The rooms are modern with a semi open bathroom with privacy glass which was fine with friends sharing.
Spa was lovely - steam, sauna, cold plunge pool and variety of Jacuzzi. Loved the facials and the foot massage. Plenty of towels and robes.
The staff were helpful in accommodating our large party at Dinner and birthday cake. Music was nice in the bar in the evening on Friday and Saturday but no music on Saturday
The hotel was predominantly German guests
Not sure that I would visit in the height of summer when the hotel will be very busy but would I come again for some winter - yes definitely.

Our fifth day at Iberostar Llaut and so far it's been an amazing stay.
The service is nothing short of outstanding. We've been welcomed and treated with great care to accommodate our needs as parents with a small child.
The workers in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner were very welcoming and quick to help. The a la carte and the buffé were picturesque to behold and delicious in taste to the last bite. Many thanks to Chef Pedro Martinez that made each meal a gastronmical adventure to last. He went out of his way to ensure we had a taste of true Mallorcan specialty that we ended up falling in love with.
For last, as a health care worker I'm very impressed with the precautions that are being taken and implemented to ensure a safe and clean environment to provide an enjoyable vacation during a global pandemic.

We stayed for a week on a B&B basis in the Star Prestige category. Our initial room overlooked the road and the Greek restaurant so we requested and paid an extra EUR50 per night for 502 overlooking the pool and with a sea view. I'd recommend making sure you book a sea view as the alternative view is very dull.
My 3* rating may be harsh as the hotel is of high quality with very friendly staff and good food, however, the location within 50m of the MegaPark beer keller, with its crowds of young guys getting very drunk, singing and chanting at all hours cheapens the area. So, unless you fit that description I would highly recommend choosing an Iberostar along the coast closer to the airport as the promenade is much more suited to couples and families and there are a better selection of restaurants.
We had breakfast at the Norai Bistro mostly and the service was excellent, occasionally at the buffet which has standard (but good quality) buffet fare.
Lunch snacks on the 7th floor were excellent and just enough to to bridge between breakfast and going out for an evening meal.
We ate once in the evening at Katagi. The food was good but the service was uncoordinated and somewhat poor. Multiple waiting staff asked if we were ready to order drinks and food and later a waitress picked up our bottle of wine to refill our glasses, lifted the bottle to the glass, looked around and obviously found something else she preferred to do, so put the bottle down and walked away which was slightly bizarre, but hey I'm capable of filling my own glass!
A few other factors that mean we would not rebook - the 7th floor Star Prestige area does not officially open until 10am and should open earlier, though we tended to find we could get in from about 9:30. The pool on the 7th floor is only of paddling pool depth so you cannot swim, and the main pool on the ground floor is too small for the size of the hotel and half of it is very shallow so swimming lengths is not possible.
We did have a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I thank the staff for that, but we would not return to that area of Palma so would not rebook.

Dear Gerry, It has been an honour to serve you at our 5-star Iberostar Selection Llaut Palma establishment, offering privileged Mediterranean Sea views, and we thank you for your review. Firstly, we sincerely regret that there was a temporary disturbance next to our establishment during your time with us, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused. Furthermore, we would like to kindly assure you that our staff are dedicated to providing the best service and are known for their professional and attentive manner. We regret any possible misunderstanding, and you can rest assured that we will forward your comments internally for revision. Lastly, we are disappointed that our Star Prestige service, which gives guests exclusive access to reserved areas, luxurious Star Prestige rooms, and extra personalised services, did not fulfil all of your expectations, and we will take note of your helpful observations. On the other hand, we are delighted that you were able to enjoy our professionally prepared cuisine at our exquisite restaurants, and we would like to express our gratitude for the kind words of recognition you have given to our remarkable team here, and they will be thrilled to hear that they have made a good impression on you. We would like to thank you again for your constructive review, and we hope Iberostar will remain in your future holiday plans. Best Regards, Quality Manager, Iberostar Selection Llaut Palma

A nice hotel with well presented rooms, excellent staff and very clean.
Some advice... Star Prestige is not worth it (despite some of the other reviews).
It only offers access to a self serve bar with limited soft drinks and access to a rooftop pool with around 10 sun loungers. This is incredibly busy and if you are not queueing for it to open at 10am when doors are unlocked, you will not get a bed. You will also be on Floor 6- adult only. However rooms were very quiet with thick walls and heavy doors, so unlikely to be an issue.
Unfortunately the hotel used COVID as an excuse for lots of things. There was a severe shortage of sun loungers for the number of guests however there was still room to offer more while adhering to social distancing.
Don't bother with Full Board- you will eat every meal in the same buffet restaurant with almost exactly the same food options. Initially the selection seems great, however 5 days in and eating the same options at each meal gets a little tedious.
A 'specials' menu would be beneficial on top of the usual offerings.
Staff were polite and friendly, however we often found that they failed to listen and orders would end up incorrect e.g. 'Red wine Sangria' arrived as a glass of red wine on several occasions.
Also a reminder that even on 'All-inclusive' (different to full board), alcoholic drinks are not included due to Spanish law.
Also not a great offering for kids.
Overall a nice hotel, but for the money, I think you could find something nicer.

Dear Emilie, Thank you for staying at our five-star hotel in Mallorca and for kindly sharing your review, We are grateful that you have recognised the efforts of our hard-working staff. They are truly dedicated to making sure all of our guests have a pleasant stay. However, we regret your dismay regarding our Star Prestige service which gives guests exclusive access to reserved areas and personalised services to provide an enhanced experience. Regarding the sun terrace and sunbeds, we kindly advise guests to inform one of our attentive pool staff as they will happily find a solution. Furthermore, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we deal with this ¨new normality¨ having implemented over 300 health and hygiene measures. We are doing our best to keep our guests safe and now more than ever we rely on the feedback of our guests to assist us. Concerning gastronomy, we lament that we could not completely satisfy you. Our chefs offer a variety of local, authentic Mallorcan and international dishes each day. However, we thank you for your suggestions and we have forwarded your comments to our team of chefs. We are sorry if your holiday seemed less than perfect; we will be looking into your kind suggestions. We can only improve each day to provide our guests with positive unforgettable experiences. We hope you enjoyed our other luxurious facilities and services and we hope to have the honour of serving you again at Iberostar in the future. Kindest regards, Quality Manager, Iberostar Selection Llaut Palma

From the offset this hotel oozes indulgence. You're welcomed with a complimentary glass of cava as you check in and the reception has an infuser that smells divine! Everything felt very luxurious. We had a room with a pool view. It was light, spacious and spotless. Couldn't fault the facilities - the pool was quite small but very quiet, there were plenty of comfortable sun beds and the onsite bars and restaurants were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast selection was incredible. There were plenty of vegan alternatives (including sausages on request). The beach is just minutes away and there's a regular bus service that takes you through to Palma. We rented the onsite electric car and had a lovely time exploring the island. Again, this was easy to do and was a great experience. We did not go on the Star Prestige package and did not feel as though we missed out. However, the added extras did look fabulous. The main strip is fairly rowdy with drunk tourists and this did disturb our sleep some nights. Obviously this is out of the hotels control, but it is worth noting.
We only had two slight issues throughout our stay. The first was that it was tricky to get the room cleaned. They seemed to come around during breakfast time/when you would be showering and getting ready for the day. This meant that if your room was set to 'do not disturb' for a short period of time, it would miss being cleaned for that entire day. This happened to us on two occasions. Also, we booked to go to the Katagi Blau restaurant after being assured by the reception team that they did vegan options. When we arrived we found this was not the case and they could not accommodate us. After sharing a starter, we had to make alternative plans. Those are two very small gripes for what was an otherwise amazing week away. We can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back!

+1
From the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen a truly fantastic hotel with an even better team. We were greeted with a cold glass of Cava by Marta who quickly got us booked in. 3 glasses of Cava later we were escorted to our room. It was better than seen in the pictures, with a Pool and Sea view. It was stunning and the room was immaculate!!! Now, when talking about the restaurant it is difficult to know where to start. Pablo the head chef came out at every sitting to make sure that everything was OK and Toni was simply the best host I've ever had. I would strongly recommend booking All Inclusive as the food is exceptional. We ate out a couple of times (costing over 100 Euros each time) and it was no were near as good. All Inclusive now means all soft drinks, coffee/tea etc and 3 alcoholic drinks with lunch and dinner, so was definitely a worth while upgrade.
The pool area was yet again excellent, and Jannier was incredible as he kept everyone happy with ice cold drinks all day. We had a massage and I've been to many hotels and used the Spa but the facilities here are top notch and my massage was possibly the best I've ever had.
I truthfully can not praise this hotel and the team highly enough. They were awesome!!!
If I had to make any kind of criticism it was that we were not aware of the Star Prestige rooms and facilities on the 6th and 7th floor and it was only after a few days that we realised there was this option so we had a little peek. Trust me, there is absolutely nothing wrong our package, however the Star Prestige pool area and views were staggering. That said, we would have missed Jannier, so we were more than happy on the ground floor.
If you want a relaxing holiday with nice guests, great facilities and wonderful staff you really will not get better than this.

This was our first visit to this hotel and we chose to go Star Prestige, we had a great room with a fabulous view from the balcony on the sixth floor which we enjoyed sitting on at the end of the day. The room was cleaned to a high standard and the whole hotel was very Covid safe. We were half board and enjoyed all our meals, I especially liked the chefs making me an omelette for breakfast and cooking prawns, fish or meat in the evenings. There was always plenty of choice, we also ate lunch a few times around the pool area, the highlight of the week was the Katagi restaurant on the roof of the hotel. We chose the tepanyaki table and couldn't believe it when we got chatting to our chef, he had previously worked at a Japanese restaurant 10 minutes walk from our house. His style of Asian fusion food was fabulous, all courses were delicious. The staff in the hotel were excellent Sofia from guest services always greeted us with a friendly smile and chat before dinner, she was also very helpful with explaining how the QR code app worked on my phone. In the restaurant Jennifer from Colombia was very kind allowing me to practice my basic Spanish and in the bars, we were always served by friendly, professional staff, special mentions to Toni and we loved chatting to Alvaro. The hotel was fairly quiet and there was always plenty of sunbeds to choose from. We also enjoyed hearing the piano being played by Pablo (my husband - a professional singer sang along with him one evening). A great hotel in a good location, a short bus ride into Palma and lots of nice walks along the seafront which is only a few minutes away.

This is a wonderful, modern hotel with helpful staff who did everything possible to ensure that we had a relaxed, hassle-free holiday. The atmosphere was very friendly and the hotel was very clean.
We had a difficult journey and arrived at the hotel at 1.00 am. The two guys on reception could not have been more welcoming, giving us refreshments and putting 2 plates of fruit in our room awaiting us after check in. At all times, we found all reception staff helpful and friendly.
The room was a perfect size for the 2 of us. It was clean and bright with a pool view. Slightly frustrating was that when either of us got up in the night, the lights came on disturbing the other person and there appeared no option to switch this facility off. The room was cleaned to an exceptional standard each day and the mini bar was simultaneously re-stocked.
We found that all staff throughout the hotel were friendly and always willing to help. Sofia was especially helpful, giving us as much time as we needed to plan our holiday including excursions and hire car. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
Celine gave us a very friendly welcome at the entrance to the restaurant twice a day. The restaurant food was excellent with a wide choice and unlimited quantities. We accept that we should not expect English speaking staff (after all we were not in England!) and we also accept that several new staff had been appointed following the pandemic. We did experience a language barrier in the restaurant when ordering drinks. It may have been helpful if the restaurant staff had to hand a crib sheet setting out the available drinks in different languages.
The pool and bar areas were very clean and modern. We experienced no language problems at either. The towel service by the pool worked effectively. The poolside music was slightly hit and miss. Mostly it was relaxed and chilled – perfect for lazing in the sun, but as the day moved on, it sometimes got louder and turned into drum, bass and rap which we found not so relaxing.
We were told on arrival that as part of our all-inclusive deal, we were receiving an Island Pass. This offered a number of extra benefits, but we were unsure at times as to what was and wasn’t included. For the first few days we were also unaware that alcoholic drinks were included at meal times, but were excluded from our deal outside of meal times.
We found the evening entertainment in the Lobby Bar the perfect way to sit and relax with a drink as the sun went down. We especially liked the very talented jazz duo (guitarist and singer) – fantastic musicians.
The gym was well equipped and not busy and the Spa was amazing too with excellent staff providing a wonderful, helpful and friendly service.
The WiFi connection was great – we experienced no problem areas in the hotel.
Overall, we had an amazing stay at the hotel and would love to return. The customer service was outstanding and we left feeling thoroughly relaxed and ready to take on life again.

So my partner and I stayed late august for 8 nights. We were immediately greeted with a glass of fresh water and offered for our bags to be taken. At the start of our holiday we had such a good feeling about this place. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful and you just felt settled. Now we opted for the star prestige and all inclusive package, star prestige is a must!! Feels like a luxury but supplies you with much more privacy and a lovely room. We also went to katagi Blau which was a one off experience, the ambience was incredible and the views were stunning not to mention the delicious sushi. Now considering food it is very hit and miss, this is sort of the vibe for every part of the hotel. Throughout our stay we were haggled by staff during dinner to review and give five stars, this was literally whilst you were still eating your food. In addition to this the spa was very disappointing and dissatisfying. The pool was an odd temperature, you had to click a button for every bubble machine in the pool and the so called hot tub was the same temp as the pool and smelt slightly funny, the sauna was practically the only thing functioning and actually inviting and yet we had to ask one of them to be turned on instead of them already being heated. There was a cold pool with an ice source but we didn’t go in. On the rooftop pool that is only available to star prestige members we had the joy of being served by a lady called Veronica, she was so so lovely and we can’t thank her enough. She made the experience 100 times better and we felt welcomed whenever she was on shift there. The main pool downstairs is a lot smaller than we expected and is surrounded by people so for me I felt too self conscious to even go in. The staff weren’t very clear as to what item costs what so we were constantly asking what was included in the all inclusive which was a real hassle. As a whole if you’re looking for class, simplicity and a little break away this is the perfect place for you.

Make sure to book a room facing the pool.
Even though the food isn't bad at all, I would highly recommend going to Palma for dinner. The ride by bus is only 2€ p.p. and the bus stop is right at Mega Park which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The city has so many nice restaurants to offer....
The amount of selection on offer, I am sure they will, if not, they will definitely cater for it for you.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe the star prestige gives you access to the private rooftop bar lounge area separate from the other hotel guests. There was also a jacuzzi/pool situation up there as well. There may be a few other perks provided that I'm unaware of. Hope this helps.
