Had a fantastic 2 night stay in a spa room (7) super comfy bed & pillows with extra blanket if needed, heated blankets too if needed. Clean rooms with well equipped kitchen that catered for our needs. Loved the spa bath as well as the powerful shower. Ideal base for exploring the Catlins & surrounding area. Kelly & James were super helpful & its obvious they take pride in this Motel & are on hand should customers need anything. There's even a swing. Highly recommend this Motel & we shall stay here on our return visit. Dee & Neil UK

Had a lovely two night stay here recently.
I asked for a quiet room down the back and wasnt disappointed.
Wiffi was excellent The bed was very comfortable, and a facilities were fantastic with an excellent shower pressure. Take time while there to enjoy the beautiful and well looked after roses.

Found simply as a stopover en route, this small motel was a pleasant find. A little dated, but all essential facilities, clean, and quiet, and only $130 for a 2 bedroom unit.

We had not been planning on staying in Gore but had an accident in our camper van. The friendly police officer helped us secure a room...the first one he brought us to was full (cheaper) so we ended up here. The owner was so kind and assuring it made us feel a little settled, despite our bad circumstances. The room was lovely...clean, nicely decorated and well-equipped. The phone and the free internet both worked well which we needed due to our bad fortune.
Gore is a really friendly, welcoming town and if we had to have an accident, we are glad it was in a town where people clearly care.

A friendly welcome and complimentary bottle of milk was received before we were shown to the two bed unit we were assigned.
Parking directly outside made moving luggage into the unit easy.
Large and spacious, good sized kitchen, huge shower. A very peaceful nights sleep. Recommended.

Very friendly and fast check in although a couple of hours early. Two bedrooms very up market and far advanced compared to street view of the property. More like a small house in layout than the usual motel design. Full kitchen and quality appliances. WiFi only $5 per night.

I stayed here with my family for one night on the way to Te Anau from Dunedin. Gore was a great stop over just to split the journey. Oakleigh motel host Chris was extremely helpful over the phone with the booking and welcomed us warmly when we arrived. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We stayed in a unit with two bedrooms with queen beds. Each bed was dressed with good quality duck down duvets and white linen. Towels, soap and shampoo were provided in the lovely clean bathroom. The kitchen was equipped well and clean. On arrival we were given a complimentary bottle of milk, which was great when we were travelling. The information book provided in the unit by the motel was superb because it detailed places we could see and places where we could dine. Sky TV provided with an up to date skywatch allowed us to chill back at night time. The full size dining table was great for playing family cards. The parking was directly outside the door of the unit. The room heating was efficient and good.
We would definitely recommend for a family or business stay.
Also if you are in Gore, check out the amazing half size Olympic ice rink and aquatic center. For a family of four to swim and skate it was $8 for children and $12 for adults. Amazing experience. Ice rink was open daily 2-4pm, and swimming until 9pm. An awesome surprise to be found in Gore.
