Great breakfast is been served and we enjoyed exchanging experience with the other guests at the table
Our hosts were very friendly and even drove us back into Gore to pick our car up the next day. Would highly recommend this B&B. Stunning views, lovely accommodating hosts, and a clean, luxurious room.
Lovely view, in fact stunning!!!
Room and views are amazing and your hospitality was very kind
Great breakfast as well!!!
Great to have good recommendations of things to do
Other half really enjoyed the golf club!!
Look forward to coming back!!!
Thank you
Following LOTS of research I found this wee gem! Hidden in BEAUTIFUL landscape with the Hokonui Hills to the left and overlooking the Croydon Valley, this B&B was absolutely stunning!
I went to inspect the rooms and found a lovely, tidy, intimate room upstairs with ensuite which was perfect for our first night as husband and wife. I commented on the amazingly landscaped grounds and how they would be perfect for Wedding photo's and our hosts -Shona and Brian were most happy to accommodate us should we wish use their grounds, so we did!
Shona and Brian were very friendly and most welcoming. The next morning we came down for breakfast and were treated to a vast array of continental and cooked options!! It was absolutely lovely to be in a picturesque setting that is close to Gore but far enough away for that quiet, intimate, country feel. For amazing views, hospitality and value for money I HIGHLY recommend you stay here!!!
We stumbled across Hokonui through the power of the internet on our way down from Queenstown at the end of March, booking a 2-night stay to rest up and re-pack on our travels. My husband, myself and our son had the wonderful room upstairs and, like many other reviewers, felt really adopted by Brian and Shona. We played snooker with the neighbours, admired the wine collection and wondered how we were going to try and get the bed back to the UK after very possibly the best sleep we'd had - EVER!
The hospitality, welcome and wealth of local knowledge made the stay all too short and we would recommended it to anyone. Hokonui means high point and it really was the high point in B&Bs. I don't know when we'll be back in New Zealand, but if we are; we'll be heading to Brian and Shona's.
