This is a basic traveller's stop off hotel, well situated with parking and a tram stop by the hotel allowing easy access to the city centre. The rooms are basic but more than adequate and clean. The difference here was the staff were all very friendly, helpful and good at their jobs with the breakfast table well provisioned and topped up.

One minor moan, why when you have a double room are you only given one tea bag per day ?

The hotel is very basic but clean, there wasn't anywhere to drop the keys early morning when we left so had to leave them in the room. it was secure parking with electronic gate, but if you arrive late (after 10 ) no facilities for getting in which is not good if you grt delayed traveling. Wasn't impressed with the food in the restaurant i sent my entrecote steak back because it was very stringy and was impossible to chew, it came back i thought it was the same piece but cooked to death so it was chewable not impressed and should have refused to eat and pay for it. But i was tired after a long drive and didnt want a confrontation (especially when i dont speak much french) The staff were friendly enough not sure about the chef didnt see him i thought he should have come out to see me as it was very quiet.

I booked 2 rooms and arrived after hours. Tried to get my key on the machine. The machine asked for my reservation number and it would say that the reservation was not found. I tried with my credit card and it also said the reservation was not found. After many attempts we found that I should only enter the last 6 digits of the Reservations and not the full number. THIS IS A HORRIBLE USER EXPERIENCE!

After a long time I was able to get the key to my first room. But there was no way to get the key for the second room! After many tries I gave up and had to book another room. Again, what a horrible experience for someone that arrives tired, at 1 AM, after 10 hours of traveling!

This review is for American travelers because although I am originally from France, I have been living in the US for many years, and I did have a shock with my room at the Campanile in le Bouscat. So, my advice is to stay away from this hotel. It is dated and not well-maintained. It is not very clean either....In my room, I saw spiderwebs, ants in the bathroom and lots of mosquitoes (they warn you about them--they do have a plug-in for your convenience but the refill was empty and yes, we did get bitten, big time). The room was extremely small, even by European standards. No hair dryer in the bathroom or face towels. The shower handle was broken. The parking lot is very small and not practical to park a large car. There is really nothing positive I can say about this hotel. Campanile used to be a good hotel brand, back in the day...oh well, not any more. I am glad I did not have breakfast there.

Set in nice, quiet surroundings, the hotel was easy to find (clearly signposted if coming off the highway) and had secure free parking. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. Although small, we were easily able to fit 3 people in the room. It was the perfect stop-off on a long road trip. Good value for money.

We were booking this hotel through their website and there was a special price on weekend, which less than 50 euro for 3 of us. We consider this hotel since it's relatively close to the center (~ 5 km) and really close the highway E5. They have free parking since we plan to rent a car for driving the area.

When we arrive, we are welcomed by receptionist (which apparently working also as waitress at dinner time), speaks English. The check in process is quick, and we got our room on the ground floor (they have second floor - or first floor in France). the room was not as good as in the picture but it's clean and comfortable. The bathroom is good. The room seemed just renovated recently. The size of the room is relatively small, so not much extra room after additional extra full bed was added. there's water boiler, with coffee, tea, sugar, and milk were provided. We brought some noodle cups with us, so we can have our own breakfast in the room (we decided to try the breakfast since it's rather expensive). We tried the dinner, and it's excellent. Try to menu combination, menu of the day + either with buffet appetizer or desert. It's relatively cheap compare having dinner on normal restaurant.

The location is good, there's big groceries just in front of the hotel (Lecrec), but not much restaurant around. You need to drive 1-2 km around to find decent restaurant or go to Le Bouscat city center, which you can find anything I guess. To go to Bordeaux center is easy, just follow the main road in front of the hotel, and you will get into the center within 5-10 min (depend on the traffic). Also, since it's close to E5 highway, we can easily escape from traffic to go out of town.

This hotel is part of the Campanile Hotel Chain. The rooms are decent, clean, and comfortable. The location is good, outside of Bordeaux with free parking. Breakfast is expensive for what you get, but dinner in their rtestaurant was excellent for the price! It appears these hotels are frequented by business people.

While passing through for a business trip, I discovered this establishment.
Classic campanile but extremely well located next to the tram.
The welcome is personalized and the team is at your disposal at all times.
The meal was very good value for money.
Calm and quiet.
Ideal.
I recommend.

Normalement oui, mais prévenez l’hôtel en avance. Il y a un parking sécurisé, accès par code, donc vous devez-vous signaler votre heure d’arrivée lors que votre arrivée passera sans soucis
