Sorry for delay in responding; I’ve been traveling. Half Moon has more offerings for kids than almost any hotel I’ve ever stayed at—swimming in many pools, horseback riding, gym, game rooms, and on and on. In terms of location, Ocho Rios may be a tiny bit closer to a few big attractions like Dunn’s River Falls. But the town itself is depressing and offers nothing. Half Moon can easily arrange tours for you anywhere in the island. And it’s really worth staying at; there are just so few places like it left in the Caribbean. By comparison, most all inclusive resorts are pretty dreadful. Re weather: Thanksgiving is usually good in that part of the world. Storms have passed and weather i not unbearable. Hope this helps.
