Loved my stay here. So close to the beach and easy access to other attractions in the area. Communal facilities were really clean and tidy with indoor and outdoor tables for eating, hot showers and laundry facilities. Only thought my one person unpowered site was a tad pricey at $20. Loved my on site coconut ice cream.
To pay over $100 for a small cabi with room for a double bed, bedside cabinet, small table and chairs, no extras bar a jug (and we had just one cup!) is over the top! We had stayed in a motel on the way - double bed, shower, toilet and all - for the same price. Not even any water in the jug on arrival. Sure that is available in the kitchen a short walk away but sometimes it is the little things that count. We had a riverside cabin which is something of a joke. If you think you will be by the river for a swim, forget it. .
Perfect site next to beach. Witnessed the most amazing sunset. Stunning place and everyone there was respectful and quiet at night. Beach was lovely and peaceful - we enjoyed looking at all the different pebbles on the beach. Just a really nice place to get away. Close to the blow holes and entrance to walks and caves.
The campground is set in very spacious grounds with lots of trees for privacy. The cabins are good value for money and the amenities were spotless. We were almost the only guests so it might be different in peak season. The beach is amazing for rock hounds and you couldn’t be closer to the end of the Paparoa Track.
Well equipped and well laid out campground. Wonderful service from Sue and Craig with international quality during the shuttle ride to the start of the Paparoa Track. Craigs interesting commentary and the pit-stop at Wendys for coffee made it a real treat! Highly recommend this place!
