Had a lovely comfy night at Seascapes House after coming off the Paparoa Track in the pouring rain! It was fabulous to get into a hot shower, then dry clothes and have the use of a washing machine and drier to tidy up all the wet gear.
Wow, what a spot. We stayed in on of the Riverside cabins for one night, had exceptional views of the wild West Coast weather through the valley. Great ammenities, comfortable bunks, bedding provided, and the "world's best whitebait patties" for dinner. Great service and lots of families. We can see the attraction of this beautiful place and we can not wait to come stay again!
I walked the Paparoa Great Walk early in April 2021. It is best to start at the Blackball end and finish at Punakaiki, right across the road from Punakaiki Beach Camp. I left my car at the Beach Camp and rode in the shuttle over to the beginning of the walk knowing my car was safe at the Beach Camp. Included in the price was a shower at the end. When finished I simply walked across the road to pick my car up and drive home.
This camp is in a truly amazing spot that I'd hard to beat, for anyone who enjoys the outdoors or even just amazing scenery you won't be disappointed. We had a group of 26 teenagers and adults and we all loved it and found the cabins very cozy and perfect for our purpose. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Pete who makes amazing corn fritters and whitetail patties from the food caravan right in the camp, Dion also does a good coffee from the same caravan. Thanks guys we will definitely be back again.
We loved our stay here, we stopped for the night with our two kids (2yrs & 6yrs) in our rented campervan. The campsite is beautiful, right on the beach and the hosts are super friendly. The food cart had the best whitebait fritters I’ve ever had, frankfurters or corn fritters for the kids and coffee in the morning. Highly recommended stop.
