Detailed Reviews
We were very impressed with the quality of this hotel, as it is rated 3 stars. Our suite on the top floor was big with seating area, bedroom and a very nice bath overlooking the valley. It was tastefully furnished and warm, as we stayed in winter and it can get chillly.
The manager Sandra is multilingual and very welcoming.
We also enjoyed the village and its surrounding which are perfect for walking and cycling. We recommend the visit to the Cueva Letretros and it’s famous UNESCO cave paintings (Indalo Man). Being at 1000M, the area is green and very picturesque.
There is no parking onsite unfortunately, but we parked by the church, a 3 minute walk to the hotel.
The WiFi was surprisingly excellent for what is basically a remote village (streaming no problem).
Breakfast for €5.5 was a very good continental style and as much as required.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst viewing houses in the area. Parking is VERY hit and miss in the village so get a space when you find one and walk to the hotel.
Met by a charming young man ( who luckily spoke english, as our pigeon spanish doesnt stretch very far) at reception who checked us in, gave loads of info re restaurants etc etc and showed us to a HUGE suite. Loads of spanish charm with portholes at feet level ( watch your head on the

We stayed here for one night in October 2023. It’s a charming old hotel in the centre of Velez Blanco, staff were amazing and very helpful, the rooms were very clean, beds very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with tostada, spanish ham & cheese, cake, fruit and cereal. I would certainly stay here again. The only thing I would like if we stayed for longer would be tea/ coffee facilities in our room.

Historic building but somewhat soulless. It does not offer food or breakfast service. It needs a facelift. According to what the guy who carries it told us, it is for sale. The town, like the hotel. You can see that it is no longer what it was, and the town itself and its surroundings are beautiful.

Hotel Los Arcos is located in an old stylish and good restored 18th century house. Good spacious rooms, all with bathrooms. Friendly owner who speaks english, german and - of course - spanish.
The town is perfect for relaxing, walking in the nearby National Park or enjoying tapas in the square close to the hotel.

Visited in October for 1 night enjoyed our stay so much we stayed for 2.
The hotel is an older building done out in a traditional style, it was very quirky will lots of different areas to sit and relax, including and enclosed courtyard and a sun terrace.
Our room was very clean with a nice en-suite. Breakfast was lovely with a selection of meats fruit, bread, yogurts, etc.
The manager Sandra, speaks English & Spanish, she was lovely, very informative about the area and helpful ( I had to visit the chemist and Sandra came along to translate for me.
We intend to return next year with friends and would have no hesitation in staying here again.
