Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Stayed here for one night, the owners are very helpful and accommodating - great for local places to eat! It’s very close to the start of the C leg of Hauraki Rail Trail, and town centre is 2 mins up the road with lots of different options. The spa pool was so good after a long days ride!
The room was clean and tidy, comfortable mattress and pillows and electric blanket too! Road noise was minimal and the curtains were good at blocking out the light. Would stay here again :)

Stayed 4 nights, the owners Alison and Richard are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were very clean and have everything you need. The location is so handy we would do mini day trips then return in the afternoon for a lovely refreshing swim in the pool. The garden was lovely for a bbq and chill time. I would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Motel is pretty decent and Provides good amenities. Parking for one car on-site. Has swimming pool and hot pool. Rooms are very much big size with comfortable and clean bed. Bathroom is slightly small but not too small or uncomfortable. Motel does not have aircon but has ceiling fan (not good speed though). Hotel managers (couple) are amazing and very much helpful.

We stopped here for one night on the final leg of our coromandel trip. The hosts were very helpful and kind and the room was so clean and tidy. We really appreciated the early evening spa and beautifully solar heated pool - pure joy!! The garden was a delightful setting for our twilight bbq and the only thing we would suggest is providing some more bbq utensils etc. this would have been handy because it’s a perfect setting for cooking dinner which isn’t often possible at a motel so an added bonus.

Thank you for your review, we have additonal utensils available at the office as they would get dirty if we left them outside, if you call again, please do not hesitate to ask, we will mention this to guests in future. Kind regards Alison

Great location in Waihi, handy to everything. Parking onsite outside of unit. Unit was very clean and well arranged. Never stayed anywhere that provided as many power outlets. Normally have to search for them to charge phones etc, but they had plenty. Owners are lovely and friendly. We didnt use the pool as we didnt have time really. Unit has a microwave which is convenient and was spacious for 3 of us. Would stay again. The one downside was the traffic noise with being so close to the highway.

Great room for a family of 5. Our room was clean and comfortable. Spa was great after a full on day of bike riding. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Everything was hassle free from booking online to leaving. Even though it’s on the main road it’s very quiet.

This is the 2nd time staying here. We stayed in the studio room with 2x single beds and it was clean and tidy. Good wifi with private bathroom and small kitchenette (microwave, no stove top). Off road parking right outside the room. The room had everything we needed. Spa pool was so good after a day of bike riding. Very close to the Hauraki Rail Trail.

Spotless room and such helpful hosts. Richard took our bikes immediately and stored them securely. He even fixed my wheel for me.
Take your earplugs; the road is busy. Spa was lovely and hot and we could imagine the view down the gorge. Lighting in Carpark is non existent but front door light annoyingly stayed on all night. A good cost effective stay

Hi, we have an upgrade to the carpark lighting planned soon. Please could you advise which front door light you noted as our office lights go off at 8.30 with the outside light on a sensor after that and the lights outside the rooms go off at 11pm, please advise so that we can investigate, thank you

Cycled in off the Trail and found my room clean and spacious. Even though it's near the road, it didn't stop me from sleeping soundly.
The pool was super cold (as expected for this time of year) but oh so refreshing!
The room has a fridge, kettle and a microwave, so cooking is limited, but there's a number of restaurants in town. I tried the Pad Thai ($20) at the Lemongrass and it was lovely.
