Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had the opportunity to wander around this beautiful property, it was magic around every corner. Although the water-lillies were not flowering, it is easy to use one's imagination to appreciate the beauty they will bring to the ponds. There were so many other flowers and plants to enjoy as well

An all-round win for my wife and I to have found this property. The communications with the owner(Rachael) were easy and she went out of her way to accommodate us. Absolutely lovely, quiet place to spend two nights.

Our group of about 50 had booked a Christmas lunch here. The menu promised:-
"A main course of Cold Chicken with Chef’s Special Stuffing or Ham on the Bone with Potato and Green Salads
Dessert of Chocolate Eclairs and Summer Berry Compote with Ice Cream followed by Tea and Filter Coffee"
There was no ham, the chicken was grossly overcooked, dry and tough, and there wasn't enough for everyone to have some. There were no chocolate eclairs. The coffee was not filtered, it was help yourself from a large tin of instant powder.
The gardens are lovely but they don't justify the failure to provide the food that was promised, nor the quality of what was served.
We shan't be returning there.

Visited for the first time on a Sunday morning for coffee, had a lovely stroll around the gardens then back in to the cafe for lunch. Ended up spending almost 3 hours here! The gardens are a mix of water lily ponds, formal lawns with gorgeous big old trees, and paths through native bush alongside a stream (even a little fairy grotto).

We ate the most amazing Sausage Rolls (best he’s ever had according to my Father) and cheese and ham toasties with delicious cheesy ciabatta bread.

The new owners have been here for 6months and they have renovated the accommodation (which sounds lovely!) introduced more of a cafe menu and are in it for the long haul, hoping their own young children will one day take over the management of this beautiful venue. We really enjoyed the relaxed ‘make yourself at home’ atmosphere in the cafe, and it was lovely to chat with the owner as she organized our food to be prepared by ‘Aunty’ in the kitchen. This is a true family business and I hope it thrives.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Lotus Cottage - a beautifully thought out and very comfortable accommodation set within the stunning grounds of the Waterlily Gardens. New owners, Rachel and Evan are transforming this place and are very welcoming hosts who made my stay an absolute pleasure. With an onsite cafe serving delicious home cooked and baked foods and the serenity of the gardens, this is the perfect get away. I very much look forward to booking my next visit! Thank you.

Pleasant Sunday afternoon out - we had a lovely lunch of pork and apple salad and fries and lemon tart for dessert, coffee excellent. Ended up sharing a table with some lovely locals out for lunch. The place wasn't very busy which is a shame as lovely gardens to explore, pleasant lunch in a nice setting

Lovely setting with friendly hosts. Good food and coffee without being spectacular. Live music on Sunday afternoons. The Gardens are the hero of this venue. Worth a visit for a quiet meal or coffee and a pleasant garden wander.

We stayed for one night in Dec 2013. A lovely, spacious room with en suite bathroom and small kitchen area, set in private gardens. Ideal if you want to get away from the crowds and are willing to pay a little more.
