Detailed Reviews
We had the most wonderful time at the cabin, Neil and Joanne are the best hosts you could ever wish for. We arrived late at night and the cabin was easy to locate and the electric blanket was left on for us to snuggle into bed. The starry sky was unforgettable and the cabin nice and cosy. In the morning we woke up to a blissful silence and the site of a herd of alpacas curiously looking towards the cabin as we had a cup of coffee on the decking taking in the beautiful views of the valley. Neil introduced us to the alpacas and the goats and we had the most incredible time feeding them and petting them. The cabin makes the perfect weekend escape from Akl with its perfect location whilst being off the grid and immersed in the bush, we still had full reception and the cabin had everything we needed + supermarket open till 9pm less than 10mins drive

+1
We arrived at the alpaca farm in the middle of a weatherbomb! The actual farm is up a private road at the top of a hill with view to die for (when the rain eventually stopped for a short while!) We were greeted by Neil and made to feel welcome. The weather unfortunately was not on our side but we were at least able to feed the alpacas which was great fun and Neil talked to us about them. The chalets were lovely and clean and had a fridge, microwave and kettle. The beds were lovely and comfortable as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from it all.
