We've just returned from a week at the Nissia Kamares, our first visit to Kos, we think we picked the ideal hotel. We arrived late Saturday night and we were warmly greeted. The manager showed us around a beautiful ground floor apartment which we accepted. The apartments come with free air-con, free safe, free wi-fi and a couple of bottles of water! The rooms are beautifully furnished, they've obviously devoted a lot of time to the style and design of them. Lovely thick towels and fresh clean linens. Its just like being in a beautiful little village, lot of beautiful flowers and foliage, white washed buildings with shutters, so quaint. The apartments are very well situated, a few minutes walk to the beach, shops and bars but in a quiet area. We had bed and breakfast which was buffet style, everything you could possibly need, laid out very well and spotlessly clean. The pool and area is amazing, plenty of sun loungers and shades, again surrounded by plenty of plants and flowers. The pool bar serves snacks which were very generous portions and tasty. The drinks are very well stocked, priced and were very good, especially the mojitos (thanks George!). Everywhere was very clean and well looked after by the staff and management. I would thoroughly recommend these apartments, we're looking forward to returning. My husband's description of the hotel: warming, welcoming, picturesque.…
Great hotel with very friendly staff. Stayed for 2 weeks in room 252 which was a superior apartment. Alex and George behind the bar where great as are all the staff. Snacks and drinks reasonable prices and very good. Pool area was quiet most days and plenty of sunbeds. Live band Monday nights in the hotel are worth checking out. Would definitely stay again.
Perfect location, close to the beach and center of Kardamena. Cute hotel, Delicious breakfast and cocktails, staff is extra kind (thank you Alex!), room was clean and well equipped. Only negative point would be the noise, you can hear everything from the rooms next door, we slept very badly. Had some bad luck with very disrespectful German neighbors who kept us awake most nights :( apart from that, perfect stay! Thank you!
This was our second time staying at the Nissia Kamares and we loved it this time as much as we did the last. We had a one bedroom apartment room 206 which was spacious with a large balcony which overlooked the beautiful gardens. The location of the apartments cannot be beaten, a short walk from the town square, the harbour, shops and the beach. All the staff are super friendly and I cannot imagine wanting to stay anywhere else. We hope to visit this lovely property again. Thanks so much Petros & Sharon Chrisostomou
Really wanted to love this hotel, as it’s got great reviews but was disappointed. Firstly, it is beautiful. The grounds and rooms look lovely, and the staff are all lovely and friendly. It’s also in a great location, literally a minutes walk from town/beach. However, lots of things let it down. The cleanliness is no where near where it should be. There are lots of dead bugs on the walls and ceilings, curtains etc. there when we arrived and never cleaned. There was a dead fly in the bathroom on the counter for several days, we were had to get rid of it ourselves; so clearly, this was not touched. Same on the walls etc. Several days the maids only left us one towel. Towels were also not changed unless we left them in the shower; despite the sign saying changed every two days, and to leave in the shower if you wanted daily. There was also an issue with cleaning outside: every morning before 7am cleaners were outside cleaning, noisily. Most days they washed down the floors outside and flooded our room as it came under the door. On our last day, someone was climbing the tree outside our room knocking down all the fruit; this went on for a long long time. The clean up was long and noisy. They also covered our beach towels in fruit, which were drying outside and had to be thrown away. A week into the holiday, the cushion on our outside seat was just taken away. It came back on the last day. Then the bed. It was so so hard. I know this is the design as the base is solid, but both me and my husband had a bad back for two weeks as it was rock hard. The sheets were also often put on the wrong way round so it didn’t cover both of us. Finally, the noise. We were ground floor so heard everything. You could hear anyone walking past so loudly: we also had the girls from hell above us. We had a superior room, so ideally, you’d expect them to keep same sex groups separate. Swearing, drinking, screaming at all hours. The staff outside cleaning also made no attempt to be quiet. Their conversations were so loud even at 7am.…
This was our second time staying at this beautiful place. Once again we had an excellent holiday at Nissia Kamares,. Our room was spotless with a beautiful balcony where sitting with a nice glass of wine and looking at the well kept gardens was so relaxing. The place is outstanding as are the owners and staff who go totally out of their way to make your holiday special. The pool area and sunbeds again are spotless and our grandchildren loved both the children and adult pools. We have stayed all over Greece including in 5 star hotels and can safely say Nissia beats them all. Already booking for next year. Special mention to Yorgos (George) who has helped make both our stays so incredibly enjoyable.
Stayed here and was very happy. We had a superior room that was large. We had a very pretty court yard with a beautiful fig tree. The courtyard did back onto a road and took a few nights and an increase in alcohol to get used to. Breakfast was continental but we found it much more than this. Very fresh, and whilst limited, you are not in a 4/5 star hotel it was above expectation. All staff are great, especially George and Zak at the bar. Alex gave good tips where to eat. You are so close to the port, beaches and town, the location is superb. The court yards are very pretty with flowers. Would definitely go back.
Recently stayed at this hotel for a family wedding and holiday The hotel rooms are spotless. The staff can’t do enough for you. Big shout out to the bar staff Kosta the owner was especially helpful in arranging a limousine and luxury bus for the wedding party. Taxis at a premium in Kardamena They really do make you feel welcome. And big hugs when leaving. It’s close to the centre and seaside, perfect location. The food is absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. The Caesars salad my wife said is the best she has ever tasted. They even allow you to order food in when the kitchen is closed. George makes the most delicious cocktails. My daughter even had the chance to make one of her own choice. We have stayed at the 5 star hotels in this resort and they cannot compete with this hotel on attention to detail and friendliness We will definitely return. If travelling by taxi from the airport ask to be dropped off pool side. Easier to get to the reception they use the most…
Responsive and helpful staff. So kind. Stunningly beautiful rooms. Excellent wifi, delicious breakfast. Wonderful pool and poolside bar. Perfect. So impressed by the redesign of the rooms —lovely white and grey. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Can’t wait to come back.
