Mitsis Norida Hotel boasts a location that garners appreciation for its scenic views and convenience to the town and the airport. While reviews are mixed regarding the atmosphere, with some guests enjoying the lively setting and others suggesting improvements, the service stands out as predominantly commendable for its attentiveness.
Despite some reports of outdated rooms and inconsistent value for its 5-star claim, many guests are satisfied with the cleanliness and the array of amenities, such as the idyllic pools and beach, although there are notes of occasional overcrowding.

We originally booked a week at the end of August to stay at the mitsis family village (2 adults + 3 kids age 11,10,7)but as the time got closer it turned out that it was not going to open this year due to the coronavirus. The reservation manager Despoina at the family village was In touch over email fairly frequently and managed to get us a place at the Norida beach.
We had booked a maisonette with sharing pool at the FV but they don't have them at Norida but we were very impressed to be placed in a maisonette that opened out directly onto the a secluded larger pool in the complex, we could not have been happier! The room was nicely laid out, plenty of room for us all and storage available too.
We spent our days in and around the pool relaxing and having fun and really only moved on to go to the restaurant for meals, we never did any day trips or sightseeing as we had so much of a good time just where we were.
The restaurant had a good mixture of food for different tastes and there was always a daily change in dishes. It seemed very well organised with staff serving food over plastic screens to prevent the inevitable push and shove of a standard all inclusive buffet and aside from a few very rude people pushing in front, everyone seemed to adapt to it and enjoy.
The food overall was very nice and the kids loved the choices on offer plus the never ending desserts!
We also ate at the creperie a few times and tried the pizza on the beach, both excellent and very fresh.
On an evening after tea we sat outside to see the entertainment, had a few drinks and played cards. The entertainment (mainly singers) was average most nights and seemed very slow paced and dull on a few occasions but it was nice to have something in the background for the evening.
The outside seating area catered for easily a few hundred people but there were only 2 staff on table service clearing glasses and taking orders so they were very overworked but they did a great job under the circumstances. The bar service was fairly slow too with not many staff and extra restrictions in place but still not terrible.
Overall we had an amazing family holiday here and would happily return, or maybe try the Blue Domes next time, it was a great hotel with some great facilities but I think a mention needs to go to the staff who were amazing throughout the whole stay! The staff in the restaurant serving food, waiters and greeters were always happy and welcoming and really made a difference to the stay. A special mantion needs to go to Ondra and Saci, the entertainment staff who did pool exercise, games, yoga, dancing and a host of other things to keep the guests enjoying their stay. The kids absolutely loved the morning pool dances! They seemed to be everywhere all the time but always made time to go out of their ways to chat to people, (as did all the staff really, even when they were very busy) and from what we gathered there are usually alot more of them to share the workload.
A great hotel, great location, great staff, definitely worth staying at.

We would highly recommend the Mitsis Norida Besch hotel for a family holiday. We have stayed in several 5 star resorts and this certainly ranks among the best. The resort has everything needed for a wonderful family holiday - lovely swimming pools, a beautiful beach, excellent restaurants and bars and plenty of sporting activities to keep all the family entertained. What has impressed us the most is the professionalism and service provided by the management and staff here. Everyone single person is dedicated to ensuring that you have a wonderful vacation. Staff all wear masks in blistering heat to help customers feel safe, social distancing is very easy as tables / sun loungers are spread apart and there are so many swimming pools that you can always find one which is near empty. The set up is perfect for these difficult times. We have been particularly impressed by the ingenious approach to buffets - all the food is protected by plastic shields and the team behind the counters pass you whatever you desire through a small hatch.
We would particularly recommend the Ni Hao restaurant for delicious Pan Asian cuisine, the Pizza cafe on the beach (a big hit with our teens) and take the bus to Kardemena for a few hours of sight seeing and shopping. For a family of four the Maisonette is a fantastic option - more than enough space and privacy for us all.
For anyone who has concerns about going to a resort this Summer, I would encourage you to come to Norida Beach. We have felt safe, extremely welcome and have had a well deserved break after a challenging year.
A huge thank you to the team here for helping us have a wonderful holiday. You all do an amazing job and we will be very sad to leave on Friday... but will definitely be coming back !

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
We (family of 4 with a 2 and 5 year old) had a lovely stay at the Mitsis Norida Beach.
Firstly, the staff work so hard and are all very professional, friendly and especially attentive and lovely with the children. They are a real credit to the hotel. Our family sea view room was very spacious and kept immaculately clean by a brilliant housekeeping team. The new main pool area is just gorgeous as are the views especially from the A la carte restaurants. Make sure you book there for dinner in each of the restaurants before you go- for brunch as well as dinner.
A few things that could be improved on:
On check in we weren’t given any information or map of the hotel grounds (to see what was on, where restaurants, beach food outlets, children’s areas etc). We had to work it out over the week, which is ok but it would have been helpful to have a bit of information from the start. As such, for example we didn’t find the gyros food outlet on the beach until our penultimate day which was a shame as food there was delicious! We also struggled to work out the children’s activities, restaurant timings etc as well for the first few days.
Some areas- kids pool, buffet restaurant could really do with a makeover as they just aren’t up to the same standards as the newer areas. We were a bit disappointed by the buffet restaurant main courses- it would have been lovely to have some more authentic Greek food and seafood. Again the staff there were just brilliant though.
Finally, our main issue was that for the whole stay we couldn’t manage to ever get a sunbed by the kids’ pool or main pool area. There clearly aren’t enough beds and people just reserve them with towels for the whole day. Staff do remove towels first thing (before 9am; we couldn’t believe that people go to put their towels out from 6am!!) but then not for the rest of the day so some beds literally weren’t occupied for the whole afternoon but towels weren’t removed. I have never know this to be such an issue anywhere else and it really was frustrating as the 4 of us (and lots of other people) ended up just having to perch on a chair by the pool bar when we wanted to go for a swim. The beach always had plenty of beds available but the kids really wanted to spend time in the gorgeous pool areas. For this reason I would not go back to the hotel and would be reluctant to stay at a Mitsis again if this is generally the policy the company takes. I tried to speak to a few members of staff about this but they just said there was nothing they could do.
Such a shame as it has huge potential and we would go back in a flash if these issues could be ironed out.

Currently still at Mitsis Norida.
Beautiful location most of the hotel and our room is very nice.
Beach beds are very basic, on top of each other and extremely uncomfortable.
Pools are freezing cold so very rarely anyone in them. The sea is warmer and beautifully clear.
Buffet restaurant is no better than any 3 star I have experienced, not great quality and pretty poor experience. So disappointed with the range of Greek food available. Also be prepared to queue to get in the restaurant and for food.
The a’la Carter are a better experience but again not 5 star very rushed and not a’la carte quality.
Very little information available without having to ask which means queuing ar reception for virtual every query.
Staff have basic service skills but no means 5 star.
Sun beds are an issue as just not enough and suffer from the early morning towel reserves. We decided better to join in to get a nice spot and came to find our towels had been removed by staff which is totally ok if this was a consistent approach. We have been here 5 days and all beds reserved by towels with no sign of residents in 80% by the time we came down at 0900.
You are then resolved to the beach beds which are absolutely terrible and could buy better quality in B&M!
Generally would rate as a 3.5 or 4 star for facilities but only 3 star for service.
Don’t be fooled by the professional photos. In reality it’s nowhere near the perception.

Responded 1 Nov 2021
Dear weeza73, We appreciate you took some of your precious time to write a feedback about your visit to the Norida Beach hotel. It is a pleasure to read that you enjoyed several aspects of your stay with us and appreciated the beautiful location and the accommodation offered. For us, the best satisfaction is when guests leave our hotel with the best impressions and memories and intend to recommend it to others. Though it makes us sad to find out that your stay at our hotel did not meet your expectation and the atmosphere you were looking for and we would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused and sincerely regret that you were not satisfied with the service you received. Regarding sunbed reservations, let us please inform you that our most important priority is the safety of our guests. Therefore we are obliged by the Greek Legislation due to Covid-19 not to place extra sunbeds at the pool area, as there should be a certain amount of people and sunbeds according to the perimeter of the pool. Your mention about towels had been removed is convincing fact that we take preventive actions and remove the towels from the sunbeds which are not used for more than two hours. Nevertheless, we appreciate your feedback as all comments made by our esteemed guests are being taken under careful consideration in order to develop and improve our service! We send you our best wishes from Norida and we sincerely hope to welcome you back soon. With kind regards, The Management Team

Have been here for almost a week now. Waited for 45mins to check in then we were assigned the wrong room. The room is spacious but the sea view is spoiled by air conditioning units. The room is very dated and basic but clean and functional. Buffet is very poor - chaotic and food unsatisfactory. freshly cooked omelette was swimming in oil. Fresh juice is only available in the morning at breakfast and is watered down. Long queues for the bars where the soft drinks are extremely sweet and taste cheap. A la carte food is much better but definitely not 5 star and must be booked for specific times the day before via your mobile phone and you need to book by 11.15 to be in with a chance of getting any slots. Reception and the restaurants will not book for you. Creperie is nice but no option to take away. pizza is also good but only one slice served at a time. Staff are hit and miss, most are nice enough but reception staff are not very helpful e.g. Will not order you a taxi unless you physically go to reception rather than phoning from the room. Waited 2x days for an iron as they are not in the rooms. No milk or juice in the minibar just beer, white wine and fizzy drinks. The entertainment is poor - we have seen the same saxophone player at least three times and he is very basic, doesn't seem to have been playing long. Beach is nice and clean as is the water. OK for a week but cannot grasp how this was given 5star.. it should be a 3 star. Would not come here again.

Dear 670olliev, Warmest greetings from sunny Kardamena and Norida Beach Resort! We appreciate you staying with us and sharing your experience. Regarding our service, indeed it may be a little bit slower this year but this is due to Covid-19 procedures that we carefully follow. Let us express our sincere apologies that our restaurant which is certified by TUV Hellas and officially awarded by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels didn't manage to reach your expectations. It leaves us also with a bitter taste that our staff's friendliness and willing, for which we have plenty of flattering reviews, was below your standards. Nevertheless we would like to thank you for your constructive comments as this is our main tool in order to evolve and provide better services. While we cannot change your past experience, I hope that you will give us another opportunity to restore your confidence in Norida Beach. With kind regards, The Management Team

Myself and my husband spent 1 week here in September for our honeymoon and it was ideal
The hotel itself is lovely, clean and in a great location on the beach where we spent almost everyday - there are much more sun loungers available there than by the pools. There is always food and a bar nearby too with a wide selection of snacks and meals (the crepes were to die for!).
The staff were all lovely and of great help when needed, although there was a slight lack of communication when we checked in as to where our room was. You need to wait for a porter outside to take you there.
The food was fantastic and it was nice that we had the choice of 4 restaurants (3 of which you need to book in advance). There is also a wide range of soft and alcoholic drinks available all day.
We made the hotel aware it was our honeymoon and they kindly put a bottle of sparkling wine and a delicious chocolate cake in our room when we arrived which was lovely.
The hotel is not near much so it is ideal if you just want to stay at the complex for most of your stay or go on arranged trips where you get picked up and dropped off. Lots of such trips were easy to book at the hotel.
There was entertainment on each night which varied and there was plenty to do for both adults and families.
My only criticism is the beach towels they provide you with, you need to swap for fresh ones at the Beach Bar. We weren't aware and so left them for the housekeeping team to take and then we struggled to get clean ones.
I would 100% recommend this hotel.

Huge disappointment. No idea how they get away with calling this hotel a 5 star.
Basic rooms
Watered down orange juice for breakfast
Overbooked, Queues for food and drinks. Can’t get a seat by the pool because everything is reserved by 8am.
No gym! (What 5* hotel doesn’t have a gym?!)
Terrible food in the main dining hall.
Hard to book a reservation for the 3 restaurants - everything booked up minutes after reservations open on the website.
Hotel interior is tired and worn down.
This is a 3 star resort at best. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

This is a 3 star resort at best. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

Dear melocake89, Greetings from sunny Kardamena and Norida Beach Hotel! We would like to thank you for devoting some time in order to evaluate our hotel. It leaves us a bitter taste that our restaurant which is serving fresh orange juice to all of our guests and is certified by TUV Hellas and officially awarded by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels didn't manage to reach your expectations. As for the number of sunbeds, we do have enough sunbeds for all our guests however not all of them are located in the central pool area which tends to be busy, however next to the second pool area, around the water-slides pool and at the beach one can find free sunbeds at any time of the day. Regarding the table reservation our guests can either make reservation from their personal electronic device, either from our computer right next of the reception desk and finally if none of them works for them our team is always willing to assist everyone who wants to make a reservation. Nevertheless, we would like to thank you for your constructive feedback which we will take into consideration in order to evolve and provide better services to our guests. With kind regards, The Management Team

+1
We are currently staying here, Family Seaview Room, with our 18 and 16 year olds and with two other family’s, one in another family room next door and other in a maisonette for 1 week. All the staff we have come across, from housekeeping, reception, restaurants and bars are all extremely attentive, very hard working and friendly. The venue is stunning, the food has all been beautiful with wide section of drinks. Guy at the creperie is lovely, these are amazing also have selection of ice cream and cakes too. Staff in the Smoky Grill/Pan Asian and main buffet restaurant have all been 10/10. As my daughter and I are Vegetarian the Chief in the buffet restaurant showed us all suitable options and the staff in speciality restaurants have all been fabulous, if you do have any allergies or you are veggie/vegan, even if, like us, you inform hotel prior to arrival via email and online forms, still just let the staff know as they are very accommodating. I will get the names of the staff as they need recognition for all their hard work and I will be sending an email once I get home to the hotel to let them know how much of a credit to the hotel and how wonderful their staff are . The pool area is stunning, at night it is all lit up and it’s gorgeous to walk around. Water sports on beach has great selection, we did the water inflatable only €15 for whole day, speed boat with inflatable sofa was €20 per person, pedalos are included. All in all this holiday is everything we needed and wanted and much more.

Having been here for over 24 hours our opinion has softened. After yesterday we had asked to move hotels but things have got better. Here’s a few positives/negatives:
Check in: was like a cattle market took too long and was very impersonal. We stayed at Mitsis Alilia last year where you are offered cool/hot towels and a glass of champagne on arrival.
Room: immaculately clean, reasonably well appointed but quite small and air conditioning is a bit weak.
Pool area: you MUST be up at 6am to get a bed. Anything after about 7am and all beds are gone. I’d say there is probably twice as many people as beds. Pool area is great though and the staff in pool bar are good fun.
Staff: Everyone friendly and attentive.
Restaurants: Buffet is like most buffets, decent selection and plenty of it. Trying a’la carte tomorrow but our friends have said they’re great. Very very difficult to get reservations. Booking opens at 8am and by 8.05am everything is fully booked.
Children love the pizza oven on the beach and the creperie
Bars: Perfectly reasonable selection and service. The coke and lemonade are a bit dodgy. The pool bar and main lobby bar are excellent.
Overall it’s a pretty good 4 star level hotel. If you want 5 star, this definitely isn’t it compared to Blue Domes or Alilia.

Dear mattg918, Greetings from sunny Kardamena and Norida Beach Hotel! Thank you for sharing your personal experience with the other Holidaycheck members and also for highlighting some of our services. Your kind and constructive comments is a boost for our team in order to continue providing high standard services. Let us also please note that Mitsis Alila and Mitsis Blue Domes Resort and Spa are two of the premium collection of Mitsis Hotels but that doesn't mean that we are not also a 5 star hotel. Nevertheless, we would like to thank you once again for your feedback. We are looking forward to plan together your next visit to our Unique Destination! With kind regards, The Management Team

Would not recommend this hotel. There were 3 restaurants which required a booking, all of which were full booked for our whole trip, so even though the hotel advertised multiple restaurants, you really only get access to the buffet. The buffet opening hours are very limited and not as you’d expect for an all inclusive. (We were also given in accurate information when checking in, implying the buffet was open 24hrs). When we asked the reception about the availability of the restaurants, they just said if there’s nothing available on the computer then it’s just tough luck! Very limited seating around the pool so we only got one pool day. Room was tidied daily but basic toiletries not topped up so we had to ask for extras to be provided. And to top it off, we requested a late check out on our first day and was only informed that this request wasn’t accepted and would be cancelled at 10:30 on the date of check out! They had 4 days to inform us but chose to wait until the last minute, completely unacceptable service, especially considering it’s a 5* resort! When we expressed our dissatisfaction they said they had no availability but that’s no excuse for leaving it so late! All in all, not a brilliant experience and staff just didn’t care.
