We stayed for one night and where greated right when we parked with a lovely welcome. Bill, the host, is so kind and gave us a lot of tips and suggestions on what to eat and do. Can’t recommend the place enough!

Bill and Suzy are fantastic Hosts. Our Party of 17 Riders doing the Central Otago Rail Trail, arrived on a cold day to a roaring fire and the warmest of welcomes. Very clean and tidy. The beds were really comfy and warm. Our bikes were secure in the locked up garage. Nothing was a problem for Bill and Suzy, they even found us a Piper to Pipe us on our way in the morning. Wonderful place to stay.

Friendly and cute backpackers run by a nice couple. Bill was happy to tell us the best spots in town and knew that after a day's cycling the place we'd want first was the town pool! Good living room with lots of books and interesting décor. Very welcoming place and very clean.

+1
One of the best backpacker style places I've been in. My 'single' room was spacious and had a double bed. The lounge, kitchen and bathroom areas were very clean and there was a good selection of books to read and a TV. Location is excellent, very close to the shops and old railway station, and staff helpful. There is a safe shed where you can lock away your bike.

From the moment I arrived at the backpackers both Bill and Suzy were amazing and so accommodating! They put me in a bigger room knowing I was traveling with a lot of luggage as I have just moved. The building is incredibly clean and well kept, I felt right at home. Once I found a long term place to live Bill even dropped me off! Door to door it was a wonderful experience, you can really tell they’re owners with a passion who care. Thank you 😊

We stayed at the Old Post Office Backpackers on our second night of the Otago Rail Trail. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed using the shared lounge area, having a fridge to use for drinks and the kitchen and dining area to make breakfast.
Bill was a very welcoming and friendly host. He told us about the local pool and several in our group really enjoyed going for a swim after a day on the bike.

Stayed in the renovated post office building. We were made to feel like we were the most important people that had ever stayed there. The accommodations were greath up i, the town small and cute. A very pleasant stay. Highly recommended for those doing the Otago rail trail.
