We parked up in our motorhome - the facilities, and camp ground area were spotless and quiet. The showers were fabulously hot, and the owners are very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
The Holiday park was our accomodation for the third night of our trail ride. We were lucky to be allocated a new unit which the owner had only finished weeks before so it was in excellent condition. We met the owner who regaled us with tales of the recent film shoot in the area and gave us a history of the place as well. The unit was excellent in every respect and we really couldn't have asked for more. The kitchenette was all we needed and the bed was comfortable. Centrally situated it was a 2 minute walk from town.
Very tidy grounds. Friendly hosts. Reasonably priced. Good kitchen facilities and equipment. Showers dodgy. Signage saying under construction but seemingly been that way for over 12 months. Poor water pressure.
The Ranfurly Holiday Park is a great place to stop en route if you're doing the Central Otago Rail Trail - Shelly and Nigel are friendly and helpful. The park has a camp kitchen that is fully stocked with pots, pans, stove cookers, microwaves, fridge, cutlery, crockery etc. The showers are due an upgrade, that is planned for after the high season, but they are clean and the showers are hot which is the main thing (and you don't have to pay). There is a laundry that is coin operated.
