Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We just returned from New Zealand. We stayed with Vickie and Roger two nights at Waiwurrie farms. They greeted us warmly as if they were long time friends. Their home and the accommodations were lovely. The views over their private bay are stunning. We loved the evening wine and cheeses, all from New Zealand. We almost hated to leave and hope to return one day. Molly A.

What a great find, can't wait to go back! We stayed at Waiwurrie in September when we played golf at Kauri Cliffs as part of our visit to New Zealand from the USA. I could not have asked for a better experience. The house was great (great views/great space/spotless), the food was great, the location was perfect (less than 10 minutes from Kauri Cliffs) and Vickie and Rodger were amazing hosts. We enjoyed getting to know them during our stay and look forward to making the trek across the globe to see them again soon. Gary C.

My brother and I stayed at Waiwurrie early September as part of a trip to New Zealand that spanned bot islands and two weeks. We wanted to play golf at Kauri Cliffs. This could not have been a better find, and was only 10 minutes from the course! Their accommodation and hospitality was one of the highlights of the trip. Tremendous value for your stay! The owners, Vicky and Roger were incredibly flexible, gracious, and warm. Both rooms were incredibly comfortable, and the house itself had a lovely atmosphere with a fireplace, and stunning views of the ocean. The breakfasts and dinners were superb. Vicky really goes all out. We were fortunate enough to get a tour of he farm by Roger, and it was amazing. We really enjoyed our dinners with them. Overall I couldn't be more satisfied

This is a lovely retreat. Away from the areas usual crowds. The accommodation, situation and location are all lovely. The owners Vicky and Roger could not have been more hospitable. I stayed with my 4 yr old daughter upstairs and My parents downstairs. The fresh ( from own chickens) eggs for breakfast were great. The beach nearby is like a private beach with only a handful of properties having access. Used a grabone deal which made it even better value.

We stayed with Rodger and Vickie for two nights at the beginning of March, and everything was perfect. They were so totally hospitable and kind, offering a glass (or two) of wine when we arrived, and helping us to plan the next days activities, which included a farm tour courtesy of Rodger. On our second evening we had arranged to eat in, and I would absolutely recommend this. Vickie is extremely talented in the kitchen, and she served a wonderful meal (with more wine!). Some people just have a talent for creating an atmosphere where you feel you have known them for years. It is a rare gift, and I would say that this is the case at Waiwurrie Coastal Farm Lodge. We arrived, felt immediately at home, had the best sleeps of our trip, and didn't want to leave. The views are
