Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly manager. They had not put us with our friends as requested but he did move us up closer. The apartment was spacious with the BEST VIEW! Pretty much everything was there that you would need. It is dated and has old furniture. The ensuite shower was dirty and cruddy. The beds aren't comfortable and the place has no aircon. The pool was awesome, the beach is across the road. There is a subway and 7 11 right next door and restaurants are within walking distance. Would I stay here again? Probably would.

Very friendly management. Great location. Our unit was tidy, but bathrooms in need of thorough cleaning. Mould on tiles and grout. Cost of unit doesn't reflect cleanliness of amenities. Very minimal supply of extras. Soap, detergent etc.

Such a nice place to stay, clean , comfortable, well located. We enjoyed the views and the walks . Can leave the car and walk to the shops or the beach. The manager was extremely helpful and shared lots of info with us. Each apartment has a designated parking space. Good place!

I would give zero stars for service if this was an option

Late Wednesday 19th July at approx 6:30pm, the water went off in our unit, my husband tried three phone numbers for hotel support with no answer. He went down to the managers residence where the manager on shift was very annoyed to be disturbed and said "Well what do you want me to do about it? I'm not a plumber!" (I Think his name was David?)

After much coercion, the manager reluctantly accompanied my husband up to the room (room #43 on the 14th floor). The manager then asked what we had done to make the water go off and asked "Have you flooded the place?" The manager said there is nothing that he can do until the next morning as after hours plumbers are very expensive.

The manager was very rude and agitated the whole time. We had our 4 year old granddaughter with us for a holiday and had no water/shower/toilet etc from this time onwards. I literally started begging the manager to please help us.

The manager proceeded to argue with us for the next 15 mins about how its not his problem and was basically accusing my us of causing the issue and they would have to wait until tomorrow.

After several more back and forward visits from my husband, the manager came back and got us to pack up all their things and move 6 floors down and stay in another room. This was finally all resolved by 11pm that night.

The following morning at 7:45am the daywork manager came and knocked on the door and was very apologetic and friendly towards us, however he insisted we needed to pack up asap and move back 6 floors up to room #43.

He said apparently a simple circuit breaker had tripped off the power for the water pump for the top 4 floors causing the problem, and this wasn't the first time it had happened.

This is very concerning as it is a fire hazard to have no water on the top four floors of the hotel for an extended period of time with nobody onsite capable of fixing a simple issue.

We have been staying at this establishment for 15 years, and have always had excellent service from the previous managers.

Sadly this experience will forever tarnish the reputation of these apartments and we will never be staying here again.

This manager should have been dismissed for his behavior, and there is no way i would employ someone with an attitude like this for a job that revolves around customer service and problem resolution. This man should be ashamed of himself and i pity any other people that need to approach this man with any issues at the units in the future.

Avoid this place at all costs!!

We recently had a booking to stay at Carrington Court.
Unfortunately, on the intended day of stay, we had to cancel as our 4-month old child became ill with a respiratory virus- requiring hospital admission.

We attempted to contact the hotel via phone and email, but received no response.
We were charged the full rate for the stay.

We eventually got on to the manager to enquire whether a partial refund or credit toward a future stay was possible.
The manager denied this request, offering “a better rate” as concession, which was not an acceptable offer given the circumstances and large cost involved.

In the context of the pandemic, the inflexible refund policy is extraordinarily shortsighted.

We had hoped for our first family holiday since covid- but instead we will not be staying a at Carrington Court ever again, and we would actively not recommend this hotel to all.

If it was possible to rate this place 0 stars I would. My family and I were unable to make our booking at the last minute due to our 4 month old baby becoming seriously ill, requiring hospitalisation. Attempts were made to text, call and email the office to explain our circumstances, but no response was received. We were charged the full fee without staying there. When my baby was out of hospital and I was able to speak to "David" at Carrington Court regarding some kind of credit or refund, I was met with a heartless response. The only kind of compensation "David" offered me was a "discount" depending on the time of year I wanted to stay next. I asked to speak to someone else, even the owners of the actual apartment but was completely shut down. I even offered proof of hospitalisation, but was told this would not make a difference. I would not recommend this hotel, DO NOT STAY HERE!

The manager of this place is out of control, we locked ourselves out of our appointment and he came out using the “F” word in front of my three children. I have never been spoken to like that in my life. We had to call the police!

I was very lucky in finding a vacancy here on the gold coast for the first week of January after a last minute decision to take the family on a quick getaway. When booking, I was told the apartment had an ocean view, but sometimes this means leaning dangerously over a balcony.

When we got there, I was absolutely amazed at the wall to wall windows and balcony which faced the beach - and uninterrupted ocean views up and down the coastline. The apartment was very spacious, light and airy, and the five of us were very comfortable - quickly relaxing into the 'Queenslander' lifestyle!

We walked across the road to a patrolled beach, walked down the beach to Surfers Paradise for Market Night, and were within 20 mins drive to all major theme parks (and a few shopping outlets).

Off street secure parking was provided, and the managers were very friendly, helpful and had lots of information. The rates were also very reasonable, considering the time of year.

Really, the only negative comment I have is that we had to leave!!

Wow what can I say! I have stayed on the GC for a number of trips and our favourite is Carrington. We were looked after from booking to arrival. Had a couple of hiccups getting into the apartment and the Managers were available, kind, and helpful even though it was a Sunday afternoon. They are such lovely people!
As for our apartment we cant fault it. Clean, super fancy appliances and comfy beds all topped off with a stunning view. We woke up to the sunrise this morning and it just takes your breath away.
We are travelling for a specific work event this week but I will be brining my family back for sure.
Thank you!!

The managers of Carrington Court Mick & Jane are very friendly and helpful. The apartment we stayed in was clean & comfortable.
