This was our first ever holiday aboard as you can imagine with 5 kids it's not the cheapest hobby. So it was important we had a good time as it probably won't happen again now they are getting older. The pictures on the website of the hotel looked amazing so we were really excited, I chose this location as it was so near to the beach and near a marina with bars and restaurants. The hotel was perfect, the room was clean as l looked exactly like it did on the web site. The staff came every day and cleaned without any fuss. The breakfast was really good, plenty of choice and although I'm not a vegetarian there were lots of non meat options. We were there for 1 week and I would say there was only 1 night where the evening meal was slightly disappointing, and that is being picky. I didn't realise drinks were not provided with the evening meals so it made things but more expensive than I planned, but like I say that was probably me not being well traveled. The times for dinner were quite long I thought breakfast 8-11 and dinner 7-11. One of my kids wasn't well on one evening and the hotel provided a container so I could take it to the room, again really kind and not a problem.
The pool was great, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The pool bar was quite expensive, but there was a super market right across the road and with good planning helped me keep things cheaper, if money is not a problem then no issues. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and great with the kids, when my daughter knocked over a drink they cleared it up and brought her another no issues.
The beach is literally on the doorstep, about a 2 mins walk and your swimming in a beautiful clean warm sea. Beach was busy but not packed, so plenty of atmosphere but not crowded, we used the beach a lot but prefer the pool for chilling which is again why I chose this hotel. You can hire a pedalo for €20 and a sit in 2 person kayak for €15 1 hour which we really enjoyed.
There is not really any bar area in the hotel and no entertainment what do ever, which suits me. But if you want food and drink outside dinner times then you have to venture out. Going out is easy, again a very short walk and you're at the harbour which in it self is nice, the harbour is surrounded with lots of restaurants and a few bars. Our room had a sea view to the left and harbour straight ahead. Amazing.
I loved this holiday for a relaxing break, one week was enough for me. I'm sure there's more to do but again with 5 kids to much for my budget.
I felt safe in the hotel and it's surroundings, didn't see any trouble.
The transfer from airport was smooth and took about 50 minutes.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and location of you want a chilled out holiday, eating and drinking..... But nothing more wild. We were not disturbed by any noise for the whole holiday, not by other guests or bring so close to the harbour. If you do go I don't think you'd be disappointed.

So pleased we chose this Apartment Hotel giving access directly onto the scenic sandy cove, and having a Lifeguard was a bonus. The Apartments are basic but spacious and comfortable, fantastically clean in fact the whole campus is spotless. The Pool was nice but very deep in most parts although the Childs pool was fantastic and we enjoyed watching the little ones having lots of fun. As I'm not a confident swimmer preferred the sea with its gradual gradient.
We had a king size bed that was incredibly comfortable and the air conditioning excellent. We had a pool facing apartment which I would strongly recommend.
We arrived late and our only disappointment was the Buffet Dinner which was not kept hot and at 25 Euros excluding drinks was expensive, considering the many local restaurants providing freshly cooked food at considerably less. The breakfast was just about ok again much of it not hot but you could have freshly cooked omelettes and fried eggs to order. The outside seating has a lovely view and felt very relaxing.
The hotel is very close to the Harbour but far enough away to be peaceful, personally the Harbour seemed too commercial.

We returned yesterday from a 10 day break, would definitely recommend this resort. We stayed on a self catering basis in a 1 bedroom Privilege apartment, these being on the ground floor gave us additional outside space with a wonderful Balinese sunbed. The apartment had sufficient facilities with a 2 ring hob, microwave, toaster, kettle & coffee maker. We had plenty of storage space & would have given 5 stars but for the condition of the sofa & bathroom. The sofa was very grubby & had stains along the front & the bathroom needed a bit of TLC. Under the loo seat was yellow with urine stains & when asked the cleaner did wash it but is was ingrained and needed bleaching to remove. Also the seals around the base of the shower needed thorough cleaning. Again it was cleaned but needed more than that. All the staff were friendly & always helpful doing the best they could.
We would go back again, fantastic location in a resort that could be 5 star with a bit more updating.

We have recently returned from our first family holiday and honeymoon the Carema Beach hotel in Cala en Bosc. Overall we did like the hotel but there are one of two areas
Of improvements we felt also cold of been made which could of really helped.

Our room was much smaller than what we had expected. This isn’t necessarily a fault of the hotel and we have raised with our holiday provider but for anyone looking to stay the pictures of the rooms don’t look like that always! We thought we had paid for a room with a sliding door to separate the bedroom away from living/kitchen but this was not the case. We had a confined room that was all in one area, we went with a 15 month old so having us all sleeping in one small area was quite restricting on naps and her bedtime as we would wake her trying to move around the room. We had many a sleepless night.
We were also overlooking a neighbouring bar which didn’t help the situation as was noisy until 2am.

The reception staff were understanding but we could not move rooms. We actually ended up checking out early and returning to the uk as we couldn’t stay any longer in the room. This was a really upsetting choice for us to make.

The buffet for breakfast was lovely, food was always great with lots of choice. Dinner not so much choice we found and I wish the food was clearly labelled as to what it was more as a few times eating the ‘pasta’ I found it contained tuna or meat and we are vegetarian.

The waitresses, bar staff and housekeepers were very friendly and always tried to help. Bed and towels changed daily.

Pool was lovely, a nice temp and great little area for toddlers and smaller children.

A nice quiet hotel in the day no loud annoying music by the pool and the most perfect location as you can walk onto the beach and into the marina on a few minutes.

Dear customer, We appreciate so much your comments as it will make us improve and get an excellent service to you. We have been gathering information to make sure that your booking was correct. Indeed, your reservation was for studio select, which means: no sea or pool views, the views could be anywhere pointing the outside of the hotel, studios keep all together (kitchen, living room, bedroom), the pictures that you saw was from the category of an apartment. Reception could not change you the room as we are on peak season and the hotel is fully booked. We would like to thank you for choosing us for your sweet honeymoon and would love to have you back with your family. We will pass the note to our colleagues so they keep doing their best to satisfy our customers. Hoping to see you soon! Kind regards.

Unfortunate start after a long overnight journey to find the sheets were washed with starch which I am severely allergic to. Nothing the night staff could do which is understandable and we were fortunate to have the Hotel Manager kindly assist the following day by delivering some fresh, non starched sheets. However, uncomfortable first night spent on a broken bed settee in the lounge.

On arrival neither the internal phone nor safe worked. In fact despite several requests, the safe was never fixed.

There was insufficient cutlery, ie one knife and one teaspoon and only the barest of crockery which was all chipped. The tea towel was never changed in 2 weeks.

The upgrade our Rep had requested never materialised, nor did the email she sent to welcome us on arrival, nor did the pre ordered basket of fruit. To our dismay we faced a dark apartment and a wall for 14 days with zero sun and no way of drying wet towels or swimsuits.

In fact there was not even a bottle of water in the room when we arrived, and we never did get one delivered.

The bathroom was suffering from mould on the ceiling and the shower left a lot to be desired as did the full quota of towels when changed.

But the worst, and the absolute real downside is the internet/WIFI was NON EXISTENT. Despite reporting it, sitting in reception to try and sort it out, we were told it was our computers! Having used these computers all over the world, we have never encounted such dreadful connections which made work impossible to do. This was one of the pre requisites of booking this hotel as we were assured that the internet was excellent.

The communal areas were excellent, as is the setting, but the music emanating from the Globales hotel opposite was enough to blow your eardrums from 10 am to well after 11 pm completely spoiled any relaxation time.

This is not a 4* hotel. Yet the staff are friendly, and hard working and the Manager a breath of fresh air in dealing with the sheets issue but the entire hotel (apart from the communal areas) needs a refurbishment. The old habit of starching sheets needs to stop, it is extremely bad for the environment and dreadful for your health.

Oh and the lateral flow test is an eyeopener. It is undertaken by some visiting guy, in the open reception area (not a private room) where he puts the tubes & swabs on a small table where only 5 minutes previously a woman had parked a baby with a wet nappy! When I asked if we could do this in a private room (away from the urine sodden table) I was told NO, this is where it takes place!

I am afraid we would not return and it most certainly wasn't worth the extra money when you see comparables in close proximity (except the god awful Globales).

Nice hotel and clean, although upon arrival told no cash on site for anything need to pay with card or charge to room then pay by card at end of stay,
would have been good to know this beforehand, as i had bought lots of euros, so ended up using euros at restaurants/bars outside of hotel, and only using card at the hotel if i or my children needed drinks or ice cream etc, i feel i may have also been charged from my bank for using my card to, which isnt great this i am checking with the bank.

Pizzas were nice, although chicken nuggets for kids not great taste, bar staff were great apart from one person little rude and un helpful but the rest very nice.
Drinks reasonable but i thought food little over prices compared to restaurants around the marina serving better food cheaper.
Pool was great, i and my children loved it, i didn't see any entertainment at the hotel in the evening but think there is a singer on a Friday night.
Rooms are very clean and maids very nice and always helpful if you need anything.
There isnt any kettle in your room so i would ask at reception to borrow one if you need it to make cup of tea if self catering.
You can also hire beach towels from Hotel if helps rather than bringing your own, think they are free but €2 if you want them washed to re use.

It is a nice hotel, although my recommendation would be to the hotel to accept cash as when i was leaving your reception allowed me to pay for my bill to the room in cash which i wasn't told about when checking in, i was told only card payments throughout my stay.
Also would be great if kettle in all rooms, mine was little rusty too, so added extra would be make sure clean before handing over to guest.

Also need to pay €49 tax payment when checking in just so people are aware.

Everything i have said above is from my experience staying in this hotel, i know some people have had good and bad reviews but the hotel is nice but i think there are few things they could change or make better for future guests.

Dear customer, thank you so much for taking your time on posting your comments. For your information, we are cashless at the bar and restaurant but it can be charged to your room and you can pay it whenever you would like and it could be pay by card or cash. On check-in procedure we ask for a debit or credit card for warranty to the hotel, it does not involved any deposit or hold money from your account, We are taking notes of your observations and improve them so the next stay will be more pleasant. We have or sunset dj session every friday evening by the pool area. We hope that you could go as the sunset is amazing from our terrace. Regarding the kettles. it must be acquire from reception desk, with no charges. And for the tourist tax, that is mandatory from the balearic goverment 3,30€ per day but if you stayed for over 7 days it is the half price per day from day 7 and it has to be paid once you arrived to the hotel, during the check-in procedure. Hoping this information clariy your doubts. We would love to have you back! Kind regards

My self and parter visited here in October for a week. Little did we know when we booked the hotel it was not mentioned that many places were closed or closing. However the reviews we read before coming made us feel reassured.

On arrival the our first impression of the hotel from the outside was lovely, greeted with a friendly face in reception.
We checked in smoothly. And headed to our room, which was average. Our view looked over other balcony’s and a supermarket. Which we found ok. But absolutely no privacy.
It’s not a proper hotel as such, it’s small apartment blocks.

We complained to reception about the cleaning of our room, but yet nothing had been done. Day after day the room was still dirty. Over the next few days we saw the hotel get busier due to having a beach festival ( we had no idea ). But was great to watch. As time went on throughout our holiday we found ourselves getting very bored, and that’s because the hotel had absolutely no entertainment hardly anything was open and the majority of restaurants was closed. However our holiday continued and we entertained ourselves. We hired a scooter for €35 a day, which we highly recommend as you get too explore the lovely island.

On the last couple of days we decided to spend it by the pool. The pool was freezing cold, and the staff behind the bar very miserable and not welcoming. Drinks and food prices were very high! So we bought our own drinks from the local super market and took to the pool with us. We decided to give the beach a visit which was just down a couple of steps from the pool area.. to have sun beds for the both of us it was €15 for the day.. we was shocked to find that out as we thought the beach belonged to the hotel.

We highly recommend bringing your own beach/pool towels as the hotel charge you €10 deposit for them each. Which you get back at the end of your holidays when you return them.

Overall we had a lovely holiday outside the hotel.
But as it being such a small island and very limited things to do, we will not be returning.

We stayed here for 14 nights in July 2021. We had a select apartment which overlooked the park. The apartment faced East so we got sun in the morning on the balcony. This suited us as by the time we returned to the room late afternoon it was pleasant to sit there. I would not have wanted a pool view as it would have been too hot and noisy. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. There were two of us so plenty of wardrobe space and a settee to sit and watch TV. Not that we normally watch a lot of TV but it was good to catch the British news when we wanted. The shower was great and always plenty of hot water. The rooms were cleaned very well everyday. However the balcony was never touched probably due to the amount of rooms to be cleaned. I would have been very happy to clean my own balcony so the addition of a dustpan and brush or a broom to sweep would have been good. This was necessary after it had been visited by the odd feathered friend!

All of the hotel staff without exception were very helpful and pleasant. I think they are well trained.

The breakfast buffet was good. The English sausage that appeared every few days were lovely and the chef was on hand to make omelettes, pancakes, fry eggs etc. We did try the dinner buffet one evening. It was all nicely cooked but a greater choice of starters and desserts would have been welcome.

The pool area is lovely but if you want a decent swim you have to get there early. After this there were too many children so very noisy and lots of ball games etc. Fortunately there was no loud music around the pool which some hotels think is the thing to do.

The location of the hotel is probably one of the best in the resort. Right next to the beach and also next to the Marina where there are a number of excellent restaurants and bars. There are numerous supermarkets in the resort. Several just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel.

There are some nice walks from the hotel. You can walk to the other beach in about 15 minutes and if you like a great sunset head for the direction of the lighthouse.

We had to get a Covid test before returning to the UK. The hotel reception gave us a QR code so that we could book online and the premises where the tests were done were just a few minutes walk from the hotel. All very easy.

So you can see from this review that I would recommend this hotel

On arrival the place is well presented and immaculately tidy externally and internally. The facilities are primarily a bar and restaurant with reasonable prices and the food is to a good standard with a wide selection available. a pool that is well serviced and clean; it is however a little disappointing that they close the pool around 8pm so no night swimming and there was no life guard that I ever saw so not sure why it needs to close. The rooms themselves are well presented with mini kitchen (with basic tools available) shower and toilet and room controlled air conditioning that vents into both bedroom and living room/kitchen area. Within easy walking distance are small shops, bars and restaurants that cater for all price brackets and you have immediate access to a public beach right on the doorstep within a well protected cove that offers warm water and a depth that increases very gradually so safe for the kids. The parking is also plentiful (not always right outside the hotel, but always within easy walking distance. If you are disabled and manage to secure a ground floor room it is great for access in most areas. I would happily recommend this as a base for your visit to the island and thoroughly recommend car hire to make the most of your time here. The people are lovely and there is certainly plenty to see in a weeks holiday.

Didn’t live up to the hype personally. My partner and I booked this hotel after reading about the hotel on Jet2holidays website. Jet 2 were great through the whole package trip. The hotel and staff however were disappointing. We maybe wrongly assumed that the balenese beds were to use for guests by the poolside however in reality these are only for the people who have booked those rooms. Our room was very clean and tidy however not with a poolside or sea view so we politely asked if we could hire a Balinese bed for the day if the rooms weren’t all booked. We were told on the first day that they were all booked up however noticed when passing that there were at least 2 of these rooms unoccupied (therefore the Balinese beds weren’t occupied). We were told to ask again tomorrow which we did and they did have some availability… however asked us to upgrade our room for the whole remaining stay at a high cost per day. We didn’t want to pack all our stuff up again to move into another room at this stage so we just asked if we could pay the hotel to hire one of the available Balinese beds for the day. Apparently this wasn’t possible even though it was no problem for them and we even offered them 60 euros for a matter of using it for a few hours. Reception staff were really unhelpful and couldn’t care less about satisfying our fairly polite request. So we asked if they knew of anywhere else that we could hire a Balinese bed for the day. We were told no.. We walked over the road to the neighbouring hotel to ask them if they had them… they didn’t but straight away very kindly told us to go to the Arena Beach Club down the road (not even half a mile) where you can hire a Balinese bed all day with a drink and snack and all amenities for 80 euros, needless to say we went there and wished we had booked there as the staff were brilliant. The lack of bar staff on the bar at Carema Beach meant the waiting time for a simple drink was long, the poor lady there on her own having to accommodate everyone. The drinks and food were nothing special so after wasting a day of doing that we went elsewhere. The pluses of this hotel are - so near to the beach, great views of the beach, the maids keep the room immaculate and always well stocked with towels etc and the lifeguard was really helpful despite the language barrier. Negatives - Reception staff completely unaccommodating and don’t care, food/drink not great, it looks like an adult hotel that have included families but really it’s not suitable for young children and be careful which room you book as view wise they really differ. All in all quite disappointing even though it was ok value for money but I wouldn’t return or recommend to friends.
