This property is in a great location and had top quality facilities. Our ocean view room was across the road from Broadbeach Surf beach. Pool and Sauna were used by us on both days. Our room was perfect - large and equipted with everything we needed to cook self contained and relax in comfort. Highly recommend.

Well, we stayed at " Garden view" apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The price was reasonable. The apartment was very dark with a lack of natural lighting. The position was very good - close to everything. The reception staff were very unorganized and less than helpful and had my Wife totally stressed out by demanding photos of her Travel card and licence to be sent just before we boarded our flight from Hobart. I was not in the least amused to say the least!! Also during our stay we had TV and CEILING FAN installers into our apartment on 2 separate occasions! No discount offered for this inconvenience! If you are a smoker, I strongly suggest that you do not stay here - the only place that you can have a smoke is outside the premises on an uncovered bench with no shelter. Overall, a mediocre experience for me which dulled my Holiday considerably.

Very disappointed with our recent family stay at La Grande. APARTMENT 36.

We were paying a fortune for a very worn, dated, rusty, broken apartment. We were so surprised with the standard after paying a premium to stay by the beach we expected at least fresh clean accomodation. The apartment was soooooo old and dilapidated. Broken tiles, filthy stained carpets, rusty fixtures and fittings, Broken doors, old bathrooms and kitchen with black mould and dusty cupboards. The bedroom windows were so dirty you couldn’t see out.

One of our kids got locked in the bathroom one evening when the door handle fell off! Much stress as you can imagine and then a couple of days later It happend in the ensuite aswell!

We were so looking forward to a family holiday reuniting with relatives flying in from around australia and O.S to celebrate christmas together and we were so sad the apartment was really unpleasant. Other family members were at hotels and apartments in broadbeach paying cheaper rates for much higher standards.

All facilities are old, worn and dated so certainly not a 4 star quality.

When we emailed to let the owner know the details of what needs fixing we have not even received a response, very, very disappointed. The owners clearly in denial as even the staff at reception said these issues have come up before and owner not willing to do anything... but still charging almost $3000 for 5 nights accomodation!!

Had we known the state of the apartment we would have never made the booking...

We would think an acknowledgement from the owner would have been at least respectful.

My family has recently booked at La Grande Apartments and have received confirmation through email of our booking. We have travelled three hours to reach La Grande when rudely turn away and told our booking no longer exist after they had taken our money. Reception had told us that they had given our apartment away to someone else. The female we dealt with was rude and disrespectful laughing and not offering alternative to help. We were left with no accommodation and no refund. Will not recommend to anyone, watch out they will take your money while they are overbooked.

Apartment not clean, fridge not working, sink leaking. Paid for 3 nights left after two. Paid $920 for the 3 nights and stayed to attend a family wedding so leaving any earlier than we did was not possible. Manager , when contacted regarding the state of the apartment refused to give a discount, could not fix anything and told me I could “get out and find other accomodation” . When another guest arrived to check in I was offered a discount of $100 or I could leave. As I couldn’t leave given wedding arrangements, we stayed until the next day. Manager was rude, dismissive and only concerned about the % she had to pay to the booking company. On departure a day early I received an apology and a promise of a refund of one night - 2 and half weeks later … not received. No surprise really. Do not stay, do not trust management. I have never been treated with such disregard and blatant lies by an apartment that relies on guests for their business.

Location and view was very good but otherwise disappointed. Air conditioning had water pouring out all over the floor and buffet so couldn’t be used for seven days out of an eight day stay . Management didn’t seem to care and only attended to the matter on our last day after complaining twice . Bathrooms had quite a bit of mould on the tiles . The photos on the website were spotless but apartment 44 was not . Management should of reduced the room rate slightly to compensate for no air conditioning and for this reason I would not stay here again

Booked this place via booking.com well in advance. The management here contacted me prior to my visit to request i cancel with booking.com and rebook direct. I refused and when i arrived they refused to accommodate my family leaving us to seek new accomodation for the whole family with no refund and no apology. Helen actually offered to take us to her “friends” accommodation herself but was more expensive of course. We are still out of pocket for this place who had our paid and confirmed booking.
Absolutely no confidence in this place. People beware.

My daughter already staying for a week booked us a three bedroom apartment so we could enjoy two nights with the grandchildren. A day after she booked I got covid. With nearly a week for cancellation she asked the managers to cancel and get a refund or happy to get a credit for when I recovered as we live 20 mins away. They said NO. Our family spend a lot of time coming from Sydney and money with LaGrande and just flushed over $500 away on her parents which didn’t have to be like that with some compassion from the managers. Certainly would hope the apartment wasn’t re rented for the two nights we missed. Do not book with them if you think due to any reasons you may have to cancel a booking.

Four friends & I stayed here on the weekend. When booking we rang and enquired about the room configuration. We needed to sleep 5 and that we were after a 3 bedroom apartment where no one had to share a bed. We were told they had a room with a queen & two rooms both with two single beds. They confirmed it was available and we could book online and add it to the notes.

When we went to check in the room configuration was two rooms with queen beds, and one with two singles. We had written confirmation of our request, however there was zero care factor from the staff. They said they only had the one room with this configuration and it was occupied. They initially offered a trundle bed, but wanted us to pay extra for that. Eventually they did provide the trundle free of charge. However they only delivered the trundle at 10:30am the next day (following several follows up with the staff). This meant one of our group had to sleep on the lounge on the first night.

The room itself was ok, just an older building that could do with some maintenance. You do get a great view of the beach. However it's the same view from any number of other apartments on the Gold Coast.

We had a two bedroom apartment and one bedroom had two single beds and the other one kind bed but I’m sure if you asked the resort they would be able to seperate the kind bed into singles for you.

No, breakfast is not included, they are supposed to change the sheets and towels after one week. After the week was up, we had to ask them to change the linen. They seemed surprised that we requested something that should have been automatically done.
