Please note that Portobello Resort is a 4 storey walk-up building (NO LIFTS) and the apartments are all fully self contained.

My partner and I came from Victoria and since the beginning before we even arrived the hospitality provided by Portobello was unmatched. During all the uncertainty of COVID, we weren’t sure whether we would end up arriving or not. The owners (Dorelle and Marty) went out of their way to help ease our worries, letting us know that they wouldn't take any payments before we arrived. Upon arrival they greeted us at the reception, and were very helpful and friendly, giving us a run down of the area and the best places throughout Broadbeach and surfers paradise. When our hot water was playing up, they offered the room next to us to be able to use until our room was back up and running again. You couldn’t ask for more! The room itself has everything you need, from a microwave and an oven to a washing machine, dryer and a comfortable bed to sleep on! The location was perfect, being 200 metres from The giant Shopping complex and only a few blocks down from the broad beach shops and food strip. The beach is only a short walk and there is a private back entrance to get in and out of the place. Not to mention the tram and bus stop was right across the road, making it easy to get to the big theme parks and surfers Paradise. We didn’t have to travel far for everything we needed! On our final day they allowed us to keep our room till 1pm until we left for our flight, instead of the normal check out at 10am. And when our flights got delayed they provided us the room next door to be able to leave our bags and relax until we had to leave again. Both Dorelle and Marty went above and beyond with everything they did for us, and I would happily stay there again without a second thought.
My partner and I are very thankful and would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy an affordable and cozy getaway.

We stayed here for the first time for the long weekend in January. We stayed in one of the apartments they call a penthouse. It was a two level apartment situated on the top floor. The apartment was spacious and very clean and had been updated fairly recently updated. Two balconies provided views to the pool, city and hinterland, with the top balcony being very large with corner spa. The kitchen lacked a little and would have been great to have had some plastic plates and cups for children. The pool and spa area was lovely, they are currently upgrading games area but overall perfect for families. Parking was free undercover. These apartments are situated in a super spot right across from Pacific Fair shopping Centre and the tram, plus a short stroll to the beach. My only negative was no lift...with all our bags a.nd groceries it was a huge haul up four flights of stairs. New managers......were lovely, hope they do very well.

We stayed in November for 4 nights and were extremely pleased with the Apartments and the very friendly service. Great location near the beach, Pacific Fair Shopping entre and the light rail station.. Lovely and clean, spacious and easy to get to with our car.including undercover parking. Many thanks Dorelle and team.. Great value for money.. Close to restaurants and convenience store..

Great clean accomodation for a couple, just wanting to get away for the weekend. Not large or luxurious but has everything you could need and certainly very comfortable. . Close all Gold Coast casino and shopping. Very central location. Host was fantastic at communication and made us feel very welcome. I would not hesitate in returning every time I want a weekend away. I could see myself retiring in similar in a few years time. Loved it.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Apartment was fantastic and close to many amenities.
Loved the pool and spa also.
Definitely a handy spot for accommodation to stay at within walking distance of many delicious restaurants and shopping at Pacific Fair.

Arrived on the Gold Coast and after looking at reviews decided to look at Portobelllo Resort. Upon arrival at reception we requested to view apartment and were looking to stay for 3 nights. Lady at desk really needs some lessons in being pleasant and maybe learning that rolling her eyes and pulling faces not good for business with request to view apartment declined stating "we have been here 7 years and never had this request before" My goodness, all we wanted was to look at a nice place to stay for 3 days and interesting that when you look around most accommodation have signs that state "inspection welcome". The gentleman behind this rather aggressive woman at reception was willing to help but probably a little scared of the eye roller. Happy ending here as we found a beautiful place in Burleigh with a charming and helpful lady who was more than happy to show us the accommodation and also a sign out the front of her business stating "inspection welcome". Maybe Portobello Resort has something to hide.

Great place to stay if you don't want to pay a fortune but want a clean modern apartment close to the beach. It is impeccably maintained, the pool and grounds are lovely and it is walking distance to all the restaurants, to Pacific Fair and the Casino. The staff are helpful and friendly. We had a unit at the back so a minimum of highway noise.

My husband and I stayed in a 1 bedroom unit for two nights this week. The unit was very nicely appointed and presented very well. The location is very good but all movement through to Surfers Paradise is crazy at the moment. I was very impressed with the Manager of this complex as he presented himself as a polished professional. My only complaint was the TV. It was not possible to access all the Foxtel channels as they gave the 'no signal' message. Also the Wifi is not very fast, other than that I would be very happy to stay there again. Lyn

Pros:The unit that we got was a very clean self catering split unit apartment. It comes with washing machine & drier, microwave & stove Convenient location - about 50 m from broadbeach south station for public transport for travelling & very near pacific fair mall (100m). Nice verandah with jacuzzi...
Cons:NO lifts...so if u r travelling with elderly folks beware!!! Ours was on the 3rd floor. No daily cleaning, clean towels, toiletries etc

Stayed here for a couple of nights after a conference and was a short walk to the beach, about 10 minutes to central Broadbeach and across the road from the Shopping Centre. Large kitchen, good sized bedroom and balcony were a plus. Small pool on site also a bonus. The apartments are stating to date a little but were clean and comfortable.
