The Positives - The room layout was nice and having the verandah overlooking Broad Beach was excellent. The comfort of the beds where excellent and having a small kitchen is handy. A good Air Conditioner and Foxtel in the room was a positive as well. Pacific Fair Shopping Mall and the Casino across the road a big plus.
The Negatives - Rooms were not so clean and bathroom was very average. The whole room and most likely all the other apartments in the block need some freshening up for the price that they are leasing for especially when they add breakfast to the price. The breakfast handed out was very poor in standards when you compare similar apartments and hotels in the area. The only positive I give for staying at the Savannah is that the location is perfect and that the outdoor pool and spa where very good. My advise to travelers is don't expect to much when staying here and in my opinion nightly stays should be based between $80 to $115 off peak and $115 to $140 during the peak months and hopefully they improve there Breakfast menu. If they improved these things then it would be worth staying at there high rates. I give it 3 Stars and that's really pushing it.

Basic room, washing machine handy. Pity clothes airer was broken and rusty, would cost $5 to replace. Breakfast included in tariff, juice, cereal, toast and eggs/tomatoes on toast. Pool and spa area good, pool towels had to be hired.
Friendly staff, location good

The room looks like it has been trashed by schoolies with multiple holes in the walls, dints, torn wallpaper.very dated old bathroom dirty grout. I emptied the lint from the dryer and it was so full it had mild growing in it . No plugs although you’re meant to wash your own dishes. No room service you’re meant to wash and dry all your own linen, I would’ve preferred to have known this when I booked as I would have chosen a hotel with room service I’m on holiday and still doing all my chores . Its redeeming features are proximity to beach shops and Pacific Fair and the pool is warm and my kids loved it. Really though, get a handy person in to fix the holes , scrub the bathroom and paint the walls we feel like we walked in after a party !

We booked 3 rooms for 1 night. While the reception lady was efficient she needs to work on her people skills. Having prepaid the $250 per night per room, we were then expected to dish out $200 bond for each room. I questioned the amount stating that it seems rather excessive. Must have missed the fine print!! Each room had unsightly black marks on the walls and unpainted poorly patched up damages on both walls and doors, cracked tile and smoke alarm dangling from the ceiling in one room. Silicone and grout mould/dirt marks throughout. Rarely do I leave a negative review unless I believe it to be well founded and I feel ripped off by the hotel management in not providing accommodation to what a respectful person would consider 'fair and reasonable'. Having owned and operated a holiday park for over 12 years I understand guests expectations and this resort simply did not meet the benchmark.

I’ve never stayed in such an overpriced, dated & unclean hotel/resort in all my years of traveling around the world & more disappointingly this ones on our shores! After our first of 11 nights ($220p/n), there were major Covid changes to the Victorian border that had me concerned that we should return earlier to avoid stricter changes. I had asked reception if we could shorten our trip due to this with a refund (free cancellation wasn’t an option at time of booking). With a lack of empathy displayed she advised she would need to speak to management. The next day it was confirmed that only a credit note would be issued & that would need to be used within 12 months. This wasn’t an option as we had already been in Queensland for a week & having to return & especially to a hotel of such poor maintenance was a poor solution along with poor customer service. She recommended I email the manager. I did so via this site & I still hadn’t received a reply, more than 10 days later!! Another display of poor customer service.
The cleanliness of the room was of concern too. When I mentioned it to the receptionist a day after check in, she questioned why this wasn’t raised at check in. At first glance, there was dust & an old ripped off sticker on the glass coffee table! The walls hadn’t seen a coat of paint or wash down for over 30 years, hence the scuff marks throughout was disgusting! The beds only had one extra pillow for 2 people with uncomfortable bed toppers. Tiles were chipped & mould in the bathroom. Dirt around door handles, dead bugs in light fixtures, water leak damage around the kitchen tap, broken fridge shelf on the door, dusty timber doors that divide the room, not to mention one of these doors were missing!! Dirty kettle & toaster, rusted clothes horse on balcony & the washing machine wasn’t in your room as advertised, instead it was outside in the hallway & one that needed to be shared with your neighbour!! The only good thing about this room was the view as we were on the 13th floor!! I really expected much more from a $220 p/n room. Knowing they took advantage of travelers through Covid restrictions by lifting up the prices is utterly disgusting! Give this place a wide berth!

Not one to write a review however this place was an absolutely disgusting . Would not recommend this place to anyone!! The staff were horribly rude and the room we got smelt of mold and had not been cleaned. Never got a refund once leaving the place as the lady on duty (sandy) wrote a different comment on our stay so the manager didn’t believe that our room was gross regardless of the cleaner coming and examining the room and agreeing with us that it was quite disgusting. Rudest people to deal with and a dirty place to stay

For self contained apartments (with a spa bath) combined with a superb location, close to the beach and shops, (just a short walk to Oasis and Pacific Fair malls), this hotel and room is excellent value. The reception team, (Sandy and Lelaine), are friendly and very helpful. Our room was quite spacious, with a very comfy king size bed, (two singles zipped together), the kitchen is small, however serves the purpose, the balcony is an added bonus, lovely for an evening sit. All in all a nice place for a weekend or a longer stay. We’ve stayed in a studio for a month and now have 1 bed with space for 2 extra singles on a higher floor (almost 3 months in the larger place). Really enjoying our stay and the location can’t be beaten. It’s a bit cool now - but the jacuzzi and pool downstairs are popular, particularly with the tourists now returning to the Gold Coast.

The photos online looked great. In reality, our experience is not the same. We had an apartment with a broken showerhead in a bathroom that hadn't seen bleach for a while. The tile grouting was mouldy black and the bathroom generally looked grubby. I don't blame the cleaners. It has just not been maintained regularly for years. We asked to change apartments and to their credit the change was effected quickly. The next apartment was slightly cleaner in the bathroom but there were still quite a few tiles with the mouldy grouting. As I said I don't blame the cleaners. Management doesn't appear to realise the potential if they only kept it at a far higher standard. The location is A+, but it is minimally equipped, one towel each unless we paid for a change under an 8 day stay there and only a handtowel in the kitchen, no teatowel. There's was a full oven and a 2element electric hob but we didn't want to cook. There were marks on the sofa arms and on the blankets! With regular upgrades and perhaps a bit more money spent on cleaners and equipment this building would've been amazing. The views are great and while I know it's old and tired, management needs to realise people want clean and modern with a little more than basic equipment. Please don't say 'thank you we'll let housekeeping know' as in many reviews. I'm sure they do their best with the condition of the apartments. Those higher than housekeeping need to sort it. Sadly we will not be back despite the convenience of the location.

We arrived at the property and the lady at the desk was doing something and didn't bother to acknowledge my arrival. The unit itself was dirty, un-vacuumed other than the middle of the room, you had to step over quite a high bath to have a shower, it was in bad need of a paint job and really a complete overhaul of the room. The glass sliding doors to the balcony had been a long time since they had seen a clean. The tv was on the top of the fridge so you had to tilt your head upwards to look at it. The building itself is in need of a complete overhaul.

The good: Comfortable mattress, reasonable AC, great location.
The bad: only three pillows + one decorative pillow on a King size bed, for two people. Very dated, paint scratched up, a shower suitable for only short people, NO TEA OR COFFEE in the room, and staying in adjoining rooms with friends, the Corridor door had clearly not been closed for months, as the filth behind it was disgusting. Hugely overpriced, and on arrival at 6.30pm, had difficulty finding someone to let us in. Can't fault the friendliness of the reception staff, after we found them, but this was not enough to like the place.
