With a one bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor we found it excellent value. All you need for self catering is there, a decent sized fridge, the TV had Foxtel and a lot of sport channels and standard movie channels and shows. The windows were double glazed which kept the noise out from nearby building works. Look forward to staying on our next visit to the Gold Coast again.

Due to covid had to get out of Brisbane, at least this place was available. We booked for 5 nights at a premium rate including a weekend. The one bedroom apartment was certainly not worth $280 per night.
Aircondioner leaked water and formed a pool of water on the carpet, bathroom was filthy, we asked for a cleaner to come in and do a clean which they did. Good location but overall it is only a 2 star resort charging 4 star prices

Customer care at this resort needs attention 🙄 Zero communication skills & tend to be rude to customers. The room we rented had dirty carpets, the shower was an issue, and an addational fee of $35 to secure a car park in the basement which is ridiculous after paying hundreds of $$$ to stay . internet never worked the entire time we stayed. Not looking forward to coming back here.

Refers to communication, we have checked our CCTV at reception there was nothing wrong with any unrespectable words or service showed when checking you in , so please contact us 07 5539 0299 or send email to info@arubasurf.com to report any issues, if anything we did not right service we will provide you compensation and even refund to you as all the customers feedback is very essential for improving the Aruba Management. $35 for hiring an remote which control the parking area to make sure maintained well when you return it as $108 needs to be replaced the new remote to work by Wifi. Wifi and Foxtel are always our fundamental amenities, due to we had been suffering storm and heavy rain, the WiFi and Foxtel had been temporarily suspended to avoid safe risks, sorry again for any inconveniences. My daughter I paid approx $2000 for this accomodation and was put in a room that the microwave, oven, walls, tiles and shower were filthy, there was even blood on the bathroom tiles. There was mould all through the bathroom, towel rail had been ripped off the wall, chest of drawers in bedroom was broken, lamps in bedroom didn’t work and covered in dust, curtains were stained, no cover on ensemble base, base and mattress were bowed in the middle, no bed head, the smell was absolutely disgusting. Reception closed at 11am, Agoda and us tried calling out of hours numbers and emailing. No response. I spend $50 and over 1.5 hours of my time scrubbing the place just so I could sleep one night until I could speak to someone the next day. When I spoke to them her initial response was it’s old-they got housekeeping to check, he admitted there is nothing he could do about the smell and mould. Also each room is individually owned and couldn’t do anything untill owners were contacted on the Monday. I explained that this room should not be let out to anyone untill it’s all fixed and cleaned etc and I can’t stay in that room another night. It’s not an option. She came and checked out the room and it’s smell and said she could give us another room in the next 2 hours. I was grateful for that. As I couldn’t afford to not be in accomodation and trying to get accomodation on the GC in Jan last minute just wasn’t an option financially for us unfortunately. The next morning as my daughter got out of bed in the new room she scratched her leg( approx length of a ruler) on a broken mattress spring that was sticking out the side of the mattress. Their solution was to put the chest of drawers in front of the spring so she wouldn’t hurt herself again. And nothing could be fixed until after we left. Anyway we stayed a total of 9 nights. I have now been advised that all they can give me is 1 free nights credit for my next stay because they fixed the issue with the initial room. We should have never been put in that room to start with. And then apparently a broken spring sticking out of the mattress is satisfactory??
We come to QLD every year and Sorry but we will never stay there again. So a credit is absolutely useless.

HI Jacqui We are terribly sorry to your review during your stay However , the receptionist asked how is your stay when you check out , You were just replied everything is good as 2nd Unit is better , then check out and left as our CCTV record. If you advise us the whole issue during your stay , we were happy to help in person and advise solutions and compensation. Our office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. Saturday 9:00am to 12:00noon Sunday/Public Holiday 9:00am to 11:00am It's show on our resort office , booking confirmation and Online travel agencies such as Agoa. However, we do have after hour 24h numbers as you can contact. We apologized about any rundown idea of Aruba Surf Resort as you mentioned, Aruba Surf is high demanding Holiday Apartment from 1997, and all the units are fully furnished, so we cannot deny there is few old furniture but “fully functional “ All Unit is under the private owner , we had notified them to replace aged furniture, appliance, and renovation. However we still need to get owner's final consent. All the units are fully furnished, such as washing machine, dishwasher, dryer, and air conditioner, Sofa Bed etc. We did replace some sofabeds of some units recently . The 2nd unit you stayed there has brand new sofabed in Room. Aruba Surf is not a full-service hotel but a short-term rental 3.5star holiday apartment. The price we list in school holiday during your stay , Aruba Surf did offer the cheapest room rate price in Broadbeach compared with high-rised hotel in this area. After investigation, we did access your unit next day to help you and help you to relocate to the 2nd Unit. Our housekeeper did clean the room as 5 star standard as they are all contractors of 5 star hotel . However they could not help aged furniture, scratched wall and air circulation of the unit as unit and building is 26 years old . Sorry about the bed and mattress, the spring was just came out from the mattress during your stay which is can't be controlled. As we checked and cleaned the 2nd room just before your stay. The mattress was still okay by the exit report and housekeeping report. However, We had ordered the new mattress to be replaced within 7 business days. We are located in the center of the Broadbeach, beside the beach, and all restaurants, and shopping centers, like the premium shopping destination Pacific Fair where just crossed the road, but we are nice and quiet and close to everything. We are having Free wifi and Foxtel, a Heated Spa, a Swimming pool and BBQ areas for infrastructure here. Welcome, all of you from all over the world and hope you would like to come back again with Free Upgrade to our Updated Superior Apartment. On Friday afternoon when we arrived, we discovered that the old Foxtel was not working and had probably never worked. The staff informed us that it would be fixed by Tuesday, which was coincidentally the day we were leaving. Additionally, there was no WiFi included and no access to free-to-air TV. We were also surprised to find that there was no soap provided, forcing us to wash our hands and shower in the morning with shampoo. Furthermore, parking was not included and cost $25 per day. The outdated and dreary room left us with nothing to do, resulting in a depressing experience that prompted us to leave in the morning. Unfortunately, Aruba refused to refund us for the remaining three nights, only offering a credit note for two nights, which we know we will never use. I even took a photo of the guest services because I was astonished by their pettiness in charging for soap and toilet paper. I don't understand why others have given Aruba Surf high ratings - one star is more than enough.

Hello Tom The Foxtel has been fixed and Wifi is always valid with nil extra cost, the day you checked in had big storm and was windy. that is why we had not stable wifi connection. We all the time provide the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash instead of soap which had been reported as not good for the skin $25 is for hiring a garage remote as the remote is easily damaged and expensive to replace. Aruba Surf Resort was over 25 years business and was built in 1997,all the units are fully furniture d, so there are some aged stuffs there due to any renovation after owners consents. However we have always been working for all ongoing issues if you would like to report to us during your stay. Stayed here early April for 4 nights paid $1300 to walk into our room to someone else socks jocks and a hat . dirty walls & floors. bins with rubbish still in them dirty dishes.dishwasher filthy and full of water . and bathroom full of dust and needles on the balcony .called up reception they came to inspect and did a clean the following day .we requested a refund to go elsewhere witch the lady said she would speak to management nothing happened . However we have been well maintained since 1997 and tried to provide the best experience for every guests. As a Self Contained Holiday Apartment, all the units are fully facilitated with washing machine, dryer, broad balcony and fully functional kitchen which most of our guests prefer as this keeps their costs down whilst on holidays, an extra cost may apply if any extra service required. Besides, we will double checked all of the equipment in our apartment and make sure this issue will not happened again in the future. Please accept our apologies for all the inconveniences and issues caused. However you did smoke in the room which is not allowed as we should charge you the clean fee as we did not by our kindness We hope you would like to give us opportunity to approve our improvement for your next stay with 15% discount as compensation for expressing the apology for this time, we are looking forward to provide better service for you soon. Location is the only positive. There’s no hot water in the morning, bugs & cockroaches in kitchen & bathroom. No bath mat or hand towel. Curtains were dirty and mouldy. Dirty worn carpets. You can’t get into the property to check in, the gate is locked. A big sign at the gate says to call on the phone but there’s no phone so have to call on your phone and wait to be let in. They kept $300 security deposit for 7 days, didn’t advise during check in, I was told when I called and queried why it was still showing on the credit card after we arrived home. The place is a dump - I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

Booked 7 nights here, felt like a prison, such an annoying place to be if you're a smoker even though they allow smoking on the balcony they harass the hell out of you. If you don't want smokers around have a damn policy NO smoking anywhere on the property!! SIMPLE!

The only person that was nice there was the Thai lady, who we said hello and goodnight to everyday whilst there

Stayed here for a week with my family in January 2021 and,the room smelled mouldy when we arrived and was not clean, the pool was dirty and full of leaves and did not get cleaned the whole time we were there, there was a communal bathroom at the pool that had a homeless person living in it and taking drugs , when we told the office about it they were rude and said there's not much they can do about it, multiple things were broken in the room including shower screen, you could not close it so water went everywhere, then when we left they charged us a 100 cleaning fee for extra cleaning, we left it neat and tidy and better than when we arrived, when questioning this they said they would send us photo evidence, after constantly calling they eventually said the cleaner forgot to take photos. Still have not got my money back. The worst accomadation I have ever stayed at! Avoid!!!

Hello Johne You are DISHONEST and Dirty guests as you booked for 2 adults but there were all the time more than 4 people with kids when the cleaner attending to do housekeeping! Aruba Surf Resort is high demanding hotel with over 28 years business and was built in 1997, all the units are fully furnished, so we cannot deny there is few aged furniture. However we have been well maintained since 1997 and tried to provide the best experience for every guests. Refers to the homeless people, Aruba Surf has installed the front garage door to stop all troubled people attending to our visitor parking. Aruba Surf Resort is located at the centre of the Broadbeach and beside the police station and is a fully secured apartment. The swimming pool is always serviced every day and your kids more than 4 were playing there if the pool was fully leaves. So this is NOT TRUE! As the welcome letter was handed to you, we informed you about all house rules and cleaning requests, but after your check out, the room was very mass. If the room was not cleaned well enough why not you come to reception to make a complaint, instead, you stayed with all your kids for 7 nights So please be aware of your untruth and bad comments, you have already been listed as BED GUESTS! HI Thank you for your enquiry. The Gold Coast airport is 27.9km from Broadbeach where Aruba Surf is situated, it will take 27minutes. There are 2 services to transport you to our resort, Gold Coast Shuttles and Con-x-ion, both of these shuttles met all flights and cost $20. There is also the public bus service which you would get off at Broadbeach South Station and walk approximately 500m to Aruba Surf Resort. Thanks and we do hope you come and stay with us.
