Detailed Reviews
I travel everywhere with my Wheaten Terrier the facilities are excellent .2 of us stayed at Lilybrook motels including our dog MacCon. We stayed in unit No.11 which has its own courtyard.Lilybrook motels are handy to Rangiora & only 25 minutes from Christchurch. I would have no hesitation to recommending Lilybrook motels to friends. The owners of Lilybrook motels are so helpful and friendly.

Older style motels units the owners have put their stamp on these to make your stay comfortable.
Our queen studio came with a microwave, jug, toaster, cutlery, plates etc so perfect for a light meal.
Units nice and warm, some noise but certainly value for money.

It was like stepping back in the 80s. The decor and fittings from that era but in a good way. Everything was clean and tidy and the bed was firm but comfortable. Had a studio unit which has a smallish bathroom. Friendly hosts. Would probably stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at the Lilybrook Motel over Christmas and the New Year. Excellent service, quiet, nice room. Handy to shops, very friendly, helpful people. I visited my family daily and went into Christchurch a few times while there. Could not find fault with my motel or the owners. I will stay there next time I stay in South Island.

Front desk manned by Asian man who spoke poor English and was unable to recommend anywhere to eat (or understand the question). There was mould on the ceiling in the bathroom, my telephone and clock/radio did not work at all. When I went to reception at 8.50pm it was deserted and locked - I used the outside telephone to call the Asian man from earlier to be told "I no work this late" despite the compendium in the motel stating reception is open from 7.30am to 9.30pm. It was like a modern version of "Fawlty Towers".

Our family of 4 stayed at the Lilybrook for 8 nights while visiting family in Rangiora. We were very happy with our large suite, which included a separate master bedroom, 2 single beds for the kids in the living area, and well-appointed kitchen and bathroom, and a large private patio at the back. The suite was clean and well-maintained, and our hosts were happy to help with anything we needed. Free Wifi was a definite bonus. The motel is within easy walking distance to many amenities, but away from the bustle of the middle of town. The only drawback was the street noise in the morning with all the commuters heading off to Christchurch.

We booked the Lilybrook Motel for one night on you way back to Picton. Elderly motel, that could use some TLC, but for the price you pay...it is a very good place. Clean, very friendly staff. We can recommend this place. Thanks to the team of Lilybrook Motel.

Walked in off street .Easy check in.... Didn't have to fill out anything??? Room was musty smelling and looking tired. Comfortable bed and clean. Very small TV, but full Sky. Limited free Wifi. Did the job, but won't hurry back.

We stayed for one night as a stopover between Blenheim and Dunedin. Our room was bright, clean and comfortable. The balcony had room for a table and two chairs and provided a welcome spot to sup a glass of Sauv Blanc in the evening sun.
