Lovely clean, warm, well equiped motel, host Paul very welcoming and efficient, views are beautiful, would recommend. Hermitage only restaurant open which was a great meal with very good service. Did the Hooker Valley walk which is well worth doing, Mt Cook very scenic place to visit but don’r rely on the petrol pump to have petrol!!!
Such a great Motel. Amazing views of the mountains, spacious high-ceiling rooms. Heated tile floors & warm rooms. Massive bed & bath. Essentially equipped kitchen. This place has it all, so peaceful & relaxing.
We had reservations to stay here a couple of nights in March 2020 at the end of a 5 week visit downunder. However fate intervened and we were locked down in Wanaka when Covid-19 hit New Zealand. In keeping with our dealings with the hotel during the advanced booking process, cancellation was straightforward and there were no issues which was much appreciated. This was our fourth visit to New Zealand and although we have previously flown around Mount Cook this was to be our first opportunity to stay at the village. Sadly it was not to be. Weeks later with rearranged flights, we drove past Lake Pukaki on route to Christchurch Airport at the start of a long haul journey home and could only think of how near we'd come to completing our trip before the pandemic struck. So…
Wonderful weekend away with my partner, a great base for our walking trip to Aoraki. We were upgraded to the largest room with the best view, free of charge. The spa bath was incredible after a day out in the mountains, definitely recommend getting this option. Room was modern with great amenities and spotless. Wifi network didn’t allow for content casting to the TV but this hardly matters. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying in Aoraki.
My husband and I had three nights at Aoraki Court Motel and loved it. The motel is warm and spacious. It has great views and we were also treated to a free upgrade which we really appreciated. The motel is also really quiet.
