Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Stonebridge B&B for one night on Christmas Day 2017. We were the first guests of the new hosts after the former ones had retired. Our small lodge was newly renovated, beautifully decorated, with a nice little kitchen and we had our "own" whirlpool - on Xmas!!! :)
The next morning our hosts brought us a very delicious big!!! breakfast to our lodge. We very much enjoyed this B&B. Thanks a lot again! Highly recommended!

Friendly couple who own the establishment and the breakfast was great, they catered for Gluten-free diet.
Amenties were fine although a little worn, sheets were a bit piled & shower door was broken, dead flies on windowsill and had to ask for clean towels.
Stunningly Beautiful Garden.
Kids really enjoyed it and it felt very accommodating, I would stay there again.

When I drove in to be surrounded by two yapping dogs I said they were not my thing so Carmel let me stay in the separate downstairs room, not the house. It was lovely, spacious and warm. A bonus is the outdoors spa pool. Wholesome breakfast in the house where the dogs seemed more settled.
I recommend this establishment wholeheartedly.

I feel guilty about writing a negative review as the owners were so helpful and friendly but the fact remains that the accommodation is very poor. The situation is beautiful with lovely sunny gardens but the room was very tired to say the least. The only good thing in it was the bed, the rest of the furniture was old, boring and grubby. The suite was from the 80s and the rest from a second hand shop. The kitchen was not really equipped to any extent, a couple of miss-matched plates and one or two pieces of cutlery and that was it. We asked for fresh fruit and cereal for breakfast and got an orange, a banana and an unopened box of cheap muesli and a loaf of cheap sliced bread. It was awful.

Ferg and Carmel were very kind and provided a great breakfast!
Tess the Jack Russell was fun to watch and the grounds are lovely. Be sure to head to Geraldine early to visit the fruit and cheese shops.

We chose this B&B from the NZ tourist site. While the gardens were lovely, the bed comfortable, and the hostess friendly, the bathroom/shower was on another floor, shared with the owner, basic and dirty, the breakfast fuel rather than food, and the table cloth/napkins given to us at breakfast crumpled and un-ironed.

The people running this place are very kind and friendly but I feel that I have to put this review about the room that we stayed in.
On the internet it looked lovely but unfortunately it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a very long time. The dust was so thick on the bedside lamps and tables that I wiped them myself. Behind the heater which was sitting by the wall the dust was unbelievable. The to unit had magazines on the top which when we lifted them off left the imprint of them because of the amount of dirt and dust on the unit. The kitchen area has a microwave with two electric hot plates sitting on the top. The fat and flies behind this was disgusting! The teatowel we had was old and absolutely smelt awful when used to dry dishes.
The toilet smelt of urine and had not been cleaned.
The lady who runs the place was surprised when we told her our problems and told us we needn't pay at all but we felt we should pay for one night even though we couldn't wait to leave the following morning. With a thorough clean and more attention to detail this place could be lovely. The gardens are magnificent but we feel that they are trying to do too much instead of doing one thing really well.

Lovely grounds. Slightly distracted operator, very friendly but fine details lacking for the price tag. Eg. Nil cutlery, fruit old, nil mushrooms for the breakfast order, spider webs and not all lights working.
Comfortable room and beds would benefit from better quality pillows.
Road noise evident despite being well back off the road.

I loved staying at Stonebridge. I stayed 3 nights and my friends were married in the venue on Sunday. Carmel and Ferg are delightful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed - ie bacon and eggs the morning after the big day. Tess and Bruno (the dogs) were also great company.
The house is warm and cozy, the venue stunning, and the grounds simply gorgeous. I have no hesitation in recommending Stonebridge and I'll be back!

My wife and I were unable to find any vacancys after driving many hours from Queenstown on our way to Christchurch. We passed this newer building that had a tour bus parked out front and a sign with B&B under Event center as we were leaving Geraldine, NZ. We turned around thinking we could at least find out if they by chance had a room for the night. The owner explained that the only room left was just rented 10 minutes ago but if I wasn't able to find a room anywhere else that she would at least pull out a couple of cots and put us in a storage room for the night. We were very thankful and then she invited us to the Town's Christmas party that was going on in the event center. The food, wine, entertainment and people were awesome. We partied till midnight and the owner was kind enough to put us up in her private home. The next morning we woke to a storybook park setting on ten acres and a wonderful breakfast outdoors. The highlight of our month long vacation hands down.
