Stayed here for one night on our motorcycle trip around South Island and glad we did, rather than travel on to Geraldine It may not be the flashiest motel but it had everything we needed, was clean , with a comfortable bed . The owner / operator was very friendly and welcoming And instantly made us feel at home Would definitely stay here again

We had a lovely spacious, quiet and sunny 2 bedroom unit for 3 nights. Erin was so friendly and helpful that we really loved our stay in Fairlie. The under floor heating was great as were the crisp sheets.

Our family of four stayed here two nights and really enjoyed it. The owner was very friendly and accommodated our late arrival. The room was clean, well kept and spacious enough for our teenagers. Parking was easy and it was great location to day trip to Mt Cook and go to Lake Tekapo Dark Sky project. Additional bonus...right down the street from the best bakery in New Zealand!

We booked Aorangi Motel for an overnight stop as we were doing the Dark Sky Project in Lake Tekapo meaning a very late arrival, then driving to Christchurch the next morning. It was very basic as motels go -but it was clean and quiet. Slightly spongy motel bed but we slept okay, and it has limited amenities, The booking and late arrival system worked really well and although we did not actually get to meet anyone, the communication on how to get in etc. was easy.

We stayed here for 2 nights over New Years. It was clean, spacious, easy to self check in, easy parking. It is just off the main road, fairly quiet given we were in the unit at the front. It has laundry facilities which was good for me. It is very close to town. It is about 30 minutes from Lake Tekapo and about 1.5 hours from Mt Cook. We did these drives and it wasn’t that bad as there is lots of stuff to look at along the way. Trace, the owner of the motel, is very friendly. Get a pie from the Fairlie Bakehouse!
