The review is about the owners Not the place I've just witnessed them rudely jump a queue in a supermarket just so they could served quickly without asking the customer that was waiting patiently They didn't say thank you or an apology for making the 2 nice ladies wait How rude is that Horrible nasty individuals !!!

Grasmere Station sits between mountains and the lake, and is stunningly beautiful. We stayed at Mountainview Villa which was the most well appointed room I’ve ever stayed in. Welcoming staff, mountain walks and beautiful accommodation

Grasmere is stunningly beautiful-bounded by mountains and the lake, with a collection of accommodation options. We stayed in the Mountainview Villa which was the most well appointed room with ensuite I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful decor, welcoming staff, and a world class location on a working farm with mountain walks immediately accessible. We will be back.

Fantastic Hosts That would do anything to help, including leaving us to do our own thing!! Big roaring fire in the Lounge, and beautifully designed rooms, all in an amazing setting. The countryside is just plain breathtaking- no other way to describe it really. We’ll be back there again

Fantastic room and views. Idilic surroundings. Great service from the management when we were trying to organise emergency flights back to the UK. Little or no mobile coverage in the area so their help was critical in allowing us to contact the airline and move our flights, especialy as it took 4.5 hrs on their personal extended range mobile phone.

About 20 mins drive from Arthur's Pass, but in a much more spectacular location. Beautiful view, spotless huge rooms with all mod cons and more. A well-appointed communal kitchen (remeber to stock up before coming).

Stayed here after visiting Arthur’s Pass for one night. The rooms were huge and spotlessly clean. The views from our bedrooms were incredible with the mountain backdrop and the star gazing at night was beautiful. Keep in mind that this is a b&b so there is no restaurant or bar but we knew that so ate at the hotel a 15 minute lovely drive away. Continual Breakfast was nice with a good choice of bread for toast and fruit and coffee. A couple of things probably could have been improved - check in is quite strict from 3pm-6pm - would have been great if we could have checked in later and upstairs in the lounge there were some big flies around but I know this is hard to stop! Overall would highly recommend this b&b.

Lovely lodge located in isolated splendour on its own. You can only check in from 3pm to 6pm and there is currently no restaurant, the only places for dinner are located in Arthurs Pass a good 24 minutes away. It does come with a continental breakfast in the morning. Spectacular scenery all round. To wake up to such amazing beauty is a joy in itself. It would have been amazing to spend a couple of days exploring the area but unfortunately we were only passing through for one night. The rooms are large and decorated in a rustic style. Wi-Fi is available but very patchy but anyway you didn't come here to be online all the time! The isolation and disconnect from the world is priceless.

Outstanding natural beauty is an understatement. The surrounds are world class exceptional. Walk to Cass river and to the summit with 360 deg views set the scene. Glen and Tanya host an amazing restaurant again a class above. The food is only matched by the hospitality. This is a special place and one we will return to for a longer stay. Our room is a home away from home and views so beautiful. The stats at night are so bright. Should be 6 stars. Thank you for an amazing visit, all too short.

Hi Joanne, great to hear you had such a good time at Grasmere, we have had a change of management and Grasmere now operates as a Bed and Breakfast Lodge so we no longer have an onsite restaurant for evening meals but we do a great continental breakfast. We also have opened our kitchen to guests, to allow them to self-cater for lunch and dinner. Hope to see you back again . Grasmere Lodge Management Team.

The lodge is in a beautiful location out in the countryside away from the town of Arthur's Pass. It is a peaceful country retreat with wonderful views of the mountains. The common room is cozy and we loved sitting in front of the fireplace having wine, cheese and bread before our dinner. Did I mention dinner? On both nights that we stayed at the Grasmere Lodge, Chef Glen and his wife Tonya prepared delicious meals. After our first dinner, we did not even consider going anywhere else for dinner on our second night. Terrific meals were prepared both nights. Looking out at the countryside and mountains during breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. When we told Glen that we were going to be hiking all day, he offered to make us box lunches; and terrific lunches they were - pork buns, chicken, cheese, tomato sandwiches. Glen and Tonya are terrific hosts and it was a joy to stay at the Grasmere Lodge. We highly recommend the Grasmere.
