Doing a roadie & couldn't find anything we liked in New Plymonth, we decided to drive another 30 min to stay at Ormond Street Motel in Woodville. It feels like coming 'home'. The owners always go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect for their guests. They renovated all the studio's and are doing the final finishing touches on the outside soon. The studio's are spacious & spotlessly clean, bed is comfi and everything is there to make you having a lovely stay. Needless to say this accommodation is highly recommended by us (and we are not the only one :)

Booked at this motel for a roadtrip stop over with 2 adults and 3 tween/teens. Joy was simply lovely from booking us in, recommending a great local BBQ pizza restaurant with Ribs to rival Texas. Got back to find Joy had swapped washing into dryer and folded the first load!! Above and beyond. The cleanliness and decor of unit couldn't be faulted either.

I would so highly recommend the Ormond Street Motels and the fabulous owners.
You are greeted so warmly and instantly you feel at home. Your heater is turned on before you get there and you arrive to a cosy unit.
The units are beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, the beds are so comfortable, water pressure is powerful and there is everything in the unit you need.
Whether it's one night or more this is a great place to stay. You have a choice of exploring the Wairarapa or Manawatu regions from here.

A must come to stay if visiting or for business. Such friendly and fantastic service. Very clean and tidy unlike some other places we’ve been put up to stay. This place sets the bar very high. You also get a free roast cooked meal as it’s delish! Hoooow good!✌🏽 We will be back!

I have stayed in lots of hotels around the world, including the odd penthouse suite. But nothing beats great hospitality. Ormond St Motel has this in spades. Our hostess (forgotten her name sorry) was wonderful. Even checking on me to make sure I had eaten and offer a home cooked meal (Chicken Curry) if I hadn't as she had prepared it for other guests who were staying. The room was, clean and fresh, comfortable and had everything I needed for my two nights stay. But kindness by the owner was outstanding. Thank you - nga mihi tino arohanui whaea.

10/10, Joy and Mike what amazing hosts you both are. From our phone conversations inquiring about our bookings till the day we departed, you couldn’t do enough for us.
Very friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed all the chats we had together throughout our 3 units.
You did so many lovely things to make our stay special for us all. Closing the drapes, turning our heaters on each day, it was fabulous to return “home” each day, feeling the love.
The motels are a credit to you both and your staff. They are spotlessly clean, beds very comfie and warm. Shower amazing.
We will definitely stay with you again when next in Woodville and can’t recommend you highly enough.
Thank you doesn’t seem enough. 😘😘

We were a family that needed a location near to a family farm to get ready for a wedding. We booked four units and used the motel to rest and shower after a busy hot dusty day setting up for the wedding. My son just adored the pool that was clean and refreshing before the the Wedding. What a great place to stay. The units are so clean fresh and beautifully designed. The showers were amazing. The men that were there painting the motel were so cautious to not be in our way and chatted away happily. The new colours of the exterior will top this little gem of a motel off.Joy you are a star and it felt like coming home.My guests from cities were blown away by the friendliness, the lovely decorated rooms. To top it off when coming back to motel after a freezing evening the room was warm and cozy.
Thankyou Ormond street motel you did not disapoint.

Ours was a spontaneous stay therefore no advance booking had been made. We were warmly and cheerfully welcomed, then host Joy showed us two different sized units and we chose the studio for our one night stay. It was generously sized for two people and looked recently refurbished. Despite being a wet cool afternoon the unit was already cosily warm, and an efficient heater maintained that comfort. Presentation was immaculate, cleaning was of the highest standard and the studio was well provisioned. Joy was delightfully friendly and outgoing. From chatting with her it was obvious that she and her husband took great pride in paying attention to detail and were enthusiastic about showing care and kindness to guests to ensure an enjoyable stay. From arrival through to departure the next morning, everything about our contact with Ormond Street Motel was impressive.

We received a lovely warm welcome from Joy. What a lovely lady.
We had a one bedroom unit which was spacious and clean and well equipped.
Joy had popped the heater on and left a light on as she was expecting us to arrive in the dark. Such a lovely friendly thoughtful host.
The Easter bunny left us hot cross buns too!
Joy suggested Smoke n Wood for dinner which was a great recommendation.
An all-round great stay. Thanks Joy 🤩
