Most of Mastertons Motels are a little way out from the town centre probably beyond comfortable walking distance. Discovery is well placed in easy walking distance of many eating options ranging from KFC to more up market restaurants and everything between.
Our room was a good size with table a couple chairs good size well appointed kitchenette and room to swing a cat. The room was clean my wife commented on it and thanked cleaning staff for the great job they did.
As several people have commented a bit dated with the odd bit of peeling paint, but given the location and it is clean and well maintained for its age would not hesitate in fact would be our Motel of choice if we stay in Masterton again.

It was as previous reports Excellent. We were in Unit 10 . Brilliant . Very Quiet at night it is helped by good design with the bedroom at the back of the unit. Kitchen / Lounge at the front. Good bed, nice and warm. Super Shower , good hot water and good power.

The studio unit was very comfortable. It was spacious with all the necessary accessories. The owners and staff were very friendly, and helpful . Although we didn’t use the pool it looked very inviting. The added extra was the daily visit from the resident moggy.
There’s a variety of good restaurants and supermarket market within a five minute walk and situated on a main road it’s easy to venture out to the surrounding towns and activities. We will certainly recommend this as a great place to stay and will be back in the future.

We’ve stayed here a few time now and Jo always gives us a friendly welcome. Rooms are spotless, comfortable and quiet. Great shower and heat pump that has a fantastic air conditioning on a hot summer day and a warm heater on a cold night. Walk to some great cafes and grocery.

It was only a single night stay but for a motel that is a little dated the room was very well maintained and fantasticly clean. Top marks to cleaning crew.

Spent our other 2 nights here. Lovely warm welcome. Very spacious and well appointed rooms. Handy to a huge range of dining options. Very comfortable bed and very well equipped kitchen. Off road parking allocated to each unit. Cannot fault this place.

Nice clean rooms with ample parking. Pak n Save, KFC and other food outlets are a stone's throw away.

Stay here often now for the drags at Masterton Motorplex. Friendly staff, quiet, comfortable rooms and first class amenities. Really enjoy staying there, so close to everything too! Supermarket just over the road, drag strip so close too!
