Such an excellent place, fantastic hosts lots of local information. Can absolutely recommend to all. Made our trip to Catlins really special. The view from your window overlooking the bay is just spectacular and if your luck at night the sky will produce a special treat.

Wow what a find!!! Fabulous clean, comfortable and WARM room with cooking area. So lucky to have chosen this. Just up from the pub and cafe. Great view of the sea and at night the cabbage tree is beautifully lit up. Not sure you’d find better accommodation here.

Our host Jenny was very warm, friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic about her neighbourhood. The studio room was spotlessly clean and tidy as well as being cosy yet spacious at the same time. Great kitchenette set-up and super comfy bed. Mike and Jenny have obviously invested in quality for their guests. Lovely little lawn area out the front with sensational views out to the water just across the road. Very convenient base for our sight seeing trips to Nugget Point, Papatowai, Maclean Falls, Roaring Bay and Curio Bay. The Point bar and restaurant being just downstairs for a drink and meal was really handy too.

I stayed two nights at Mike and Jenny’s Apartment 1 (downstairs) and couldn’t have been more comfortable or happier. The studio is spacious, very private and quiet, there’s a gorgeous view straight down to the water across a lovely garden, and you can hear the ocean crashing. Great as a base, good walks from here along the beaches. Jenny is a terrific hostess, she even organised an excellent kayak trip for me on Caitlin’s kayaks which was a highlight of my trip. A very comfortable bed and a v.g restaurant, The Point, two minutes away.

Thanks so much for our stay at your fabulous spot. In spite of the damp conditions, we have enjoyed our stay. Your hospitality has been 1st class, including the special extra (😆). Highly recommended. Deb, Margaret and Keith Morriss (Wellington and Feilding, New Zealand)
